View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having Inspiron N4010 for almost an year now. I have had many troubles with this but never with internet connectivity. Last week I saw myself not being able to be connected to internet through wireless or wired network while everybody else was connected and surfing. I just thought it to be a small problem and the problem seemed resolved that very day itself on its own.
But today this computer has simply failed to get connected. it does get connected, open a page or two and then again refuses to connect. On the problem diagnoses from network sharing center, it was showing that the websites are not responding, then it started showing that DNS server was not responding while all my setting are correctly configured. I pinged gateway and it responds but on pinging some website there is no response at all. It s a problem with my laptop only as everybody else are using internet very well. I am using internet through my WiFi enabled cell phone using the same connection and router that i use for my laptop. I need an urgent solutions as I have to meet some deadlines regarding assignments.
I cant install The wifi Driver it says "This software package cannot be installed in your system the setup application will exit"
I do have the drivers CD this is the only driver that doesn't work.
I'm at my wits end on trying to get my n4010 inspiron to connect wirelessly. It was working about two weeks ago but now will not work
1. I've upgraded by bios to version A13
2. I've checked in the bios advanced tap to ensure the wireless was enabled, it is
3. Device manger says the drivers are up to date and the device is working properly, driver version 5.60.48.35
4. System info says the wireless adapter is disabled
5. wireless key F2 has no impact on the status
This has happened a long time ago, a year or so but it wouldn't let me get on the internet. I've done a system restore, but it still shows the ! in front of the wireless connection thats their since im on it right now typing this up on my PC.
View 1 Replies View Relatedam facing a big issue with windows 8 ,i recently updated my os to windows 8 64bit.now am totally cut from networks,,both Bluetooth and WiFi,,i was able to connect to WiFi but after sometime when i tried to connect to web site its automatically disconnected,,i checked with other systems and mobile phone which is using the same network same time..
and with my Bluetooth am not even showing my Bluetooth..when i searched with mobile for nearby devices its shows dell pc but unable to connect.
I am really enjoying my Dell, but I have one issue. The wireless card on the N4010 shuts itself off for no reason. Sometimes the Fn+F2 key will turn the connection back on, but sometimes I have to Fn+F2 and disabling and re-abling the wireless connection to re-establish the network connection. Is there a setting that I need to adjust or a new driver???

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Dell Inspiron N4010 for more than a year now. It was running good. At office i am using wi -fi and at home i was using through cable connection. Fer last few days my wired connection was not working and i got all cable checked and replaced, but could not solve the problem. Then i found that in device manager, network adapters, its not showing and wired adapter. Only wi-fi and blue tooth adapters are there. I can still connect to internet at office via wi fi but its not working at home now with wired connection.I am not able to understand how it stops working and why its not showing in device manage (Network adapters).Yes one more thing i want to disclose is that earlier i have only one drive i.e. c drive wich few days back i compressed and created another drive.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently reinstalled windows 7 on my dad laptop after he <ADMIN NOTE: Profanity removed as per TOU> it up beyond repair. After installing the appropriate drivers I still had no detection on my w lan adapter so I checked out the device list, and it says I'm missing drivers for two things: one is the network controller, the other is just listed as an unknown device.
I already installed every driver for the appropriate devices on the laptop, in the correct order, or as i could best manage it, but still no dice. The only network driver on the disk for my inspiron is one for an Ethernet controller.
I accidentally un-installed mine so I can no longer get wireless internet. How can I get it back on my computer? It's a Dell Inspiron N4010 with windows 7 64-bit

At my wits end on my dell n4010. Download speeds tested with speedtest.net are 1/3 (5mbs vs 15mbs) that achieved on an older dell with xp, a blackberry playbook and a macbook. N4010 has windows 7 and all drivers have been updated.
I see some suspect a bad antenna within the n4010 might be the issue.
I have the Inspiron N4010 and I recently had my LCD screen replaced everything seems to be working awesome...except all my drivers seem to not be working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for the device. I know I could just re-download the drivers except my internet network won't connect to wifi or router so I can not get on the internet to download the drivers!

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter some research, I noticed I'm having the same problem with my Inspiron N4010's wireless card as mentioned in this post. I purchased this laptop refurbished from the Dell Outlet store over a year ago.
Yes, I have tried re-installing the drivers, the BIOS is updated, and no I am not pressing that key when the wireless card randomly disables. Normally it will re-enable after a few minutes or if I keep pressing that key it may re-enable. Sometimes it will take a restart for it to re-enable.
This is a completely random problem too. I am unable to reproduce the problem.
I am just about ready to replace the card and see if that works (the laptop is out of warranty and I'm comfortable inside of a laptop so that is not an issue).
I have Laptop model Inspiron 14 (S541003IN8) with configuration Base for Direct, Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit (English)

I recently purchased 4 Inspiron 660 destkop with Windows 7 x64 Pro. When I plug them in to an ethernet connection, they are able to pull an IP address from DHCP but they do not connect to the internet. The network icon in the taskbar has a yellow exclamation point and has the message "No Internet Access" when I mouse-over it. I am trying to connect the computer in an office with a DHCP server. I have not joined the computer to the domain yet. I can plug any of my other computers into the same ethernet port and they will connect to the internet including other computers with the same OS and computers with XP SP3 or Vista. I have also had another tech connect the computer to other ethernet ports that we know work with other computers and the computers still cannot access the internet.
I have already tried the solution here: [URL] which advises you to uninstall the free McAfee software (which was already done or the computer didn't come with it) and uninstall a windows update which we did. The computers still do not connect to the internet. Are there any other possible solutions? These computers are straight out of the box and unaltered other than removing the software and update in the above link.
Could this have anything to do within the Atheros Smart Net software or the Intel Trusted Connect Service Client? I'm not familiar with this software or what it is supposed to do.
i have had my inspiron 17r since this christmas. however, after about a month of having my computer i noticed something that it did that was very annoying. the wifi connection is randomly lost for about 2 minutes and then re connects. during that time i cannot load any pages or anything. when it first started doing this, it would only happen about once every 2 hours, but it progressively got worse and worse to the point that i cannot even access the internet with it anymore. i boot it up and it has no connection then connects to wifi for 5 seconds and then loses it again. heres the deal though, this only happens with my computer out of all of my family's computers. i have a very good wifi connection because the connection says "good" whenever it does connect, and this problem never happened with my last computer which was a toshiba. i know for a fact it isn't a problem with my home wifi because i have brought my computer on a trip across the country before and it still happened. Dell worker before gave me a link to update some drivers of which i cant remember. this rectify the problem a little for maybe a week or two and then it started doing it again.

Every time I try I get an error the the network adapter isn't found. The trouble shooter can't even fix it. Everyone else in the house has no issues connecting with a wireless connection. The wireless connection has worked maybe twice for me since I purchased the laptop (May 2012). Since I am more comfortable at my desk it's no issue but there is a new printer that I can't connect to because I can't download the driver because I have to unplug my laptop to go in the other room to get to it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a Dell Inspiron17R SE 7720 with an Intel Wireless 2230 card. I was told I could connect a Netgear Push2TV adapter that would allow me to connect to my TV wirelessly. When I went to connect it, I was able to get the TV to the point of asking me to Launch my Intel Wireless Display. I go to my programs but cannot find anything that mentions Wi-Di. I am not very tech savvy, so I don't know what to do. Is there a driver I can download? Am I missing something on my computer programs? Should I use another method and send the part back to Dell?
