Dell :: XPS 1340 And WWAN 5550 / 5560 Compatibility And Drivers Availability?
Jul 11, 2013
I'd like to get a new WWAN card for my Dell XPS 1340 - currently there is 5530, though now I would like to put 5550 or 5560. I have read couple of threads on dell forums, other forums regarding the drivers availability and compatibility, however I haven't noticed any for 1340. Even though mentioned cards are not officially available for this model?
with the 5550 we get 4 gig ports on slot 0 and 8 gig ports on slot 1, also a fast Ethernet management interface port. The documentation states that only 8 ports can be active at any one time but does that exclude this management port so that I can use this as well ?
Also is the port assignments for slot 1 like g1/0 - 1/7 ? As the other the 8 ports in slot 1 are 4 x gig E and 4 x gig sfp.
I had issue with spyware bogging down laptop. I reistalled windows 7. Currently, I have no driver to run wireless network. tried everything i can think of and talked to my cable provider and still no fix. I tried troubleshooter to no avail.
I have a Studio XPS 1340. Running Vista. Sat evening I was on the net, and had left the machine for a while. I refreshed a page using F5 after 10 mins inactivity, and the WIFI had dropped. I have the Dell Wireless 1515 Wireless N adaptor. I cannot find any wireless networks, and the error message I get is to "Turn on wireless capability".
On the Studio XPS 13 there is no wireless switch, to turn on/off the wireless. I've tried to turn on the wireless using Fn + F2, and I have also unchecked the "allow computer to turn off this device to save power." box. rebooted any further suggestions? I've disabled and enabled the wireless network card a couple of times, drivers seem to be working correctly. when I try to update the drivers I'm told they are the most up to date drivers available.
Might this be McAfee related? Have I inadvertently turned off the wireless using a shortcut key by accident?
I buyed a dell inspiron 1525 laptop. I am looking to buy a wwan card for the same. some wwan cards and where i can buy? I looked into some wwan cards on ebay but i don't want to end up buying non-compatible card.
I need to understand if ASA 5550 ver 8.2(1) is comptible with IPv6, if not what is the upgrade path to make it IPv6 compatible. The requirement is dual stack of IPv4 and IPv6 should run in the same HA cluster and later will shift IPv6 completely.
The existing infrastructure is equipped with ASA with HA Active/Active mode. The command output for required details are attached here in txt mode.
I just got a new Latitude E4200 with a Dell Wireless 5530 3G/UMTS/WWAN card. I installed Win7 and now I cannot locate a 3G/WWAN software (the drivers are working fine, but I just cannot find the software that allows me to connect with the Vodafone 3G/WWAN network). I am using the "Dell Mobile Broadband Card Utility" software on my D830 (5520 card; also on Win7), but I cannot find that software or its successor for the 5530 card.
My father purchase an Inspiron 17R (he knows nothing about computers and I'm just a low level user). He has wireless internet thru Comcast and there was never a problem. He downloaded some scam program, and I reformatted the hard drive. Used the recovery disk, windows installed and remained connected thru the whole reformat process. This recovery disk was the operating system only- no other recovery disk was included. After the reformat, the computer now has no wireless capability. After checking the forums I went to the service center, entered the service tag, and downloaded/installed every driver in the "chipset" and "network" categories. (Downloaded to a different computer and transferred with CD)Still no wireless. When I click on the "bars" in the lower right corner, it doesn't even give me an option for wireless networks (which it used to- now it only says "dial up and VPN")I went to the device manager, the "Wireless LAN mini card" is ok, but there are 4 things underneath showing the yellow exclamation point of death:
ETHERNET CONTROLER PCI SIMPLE COMMUNICATIONS CENTER SM BUS CONTROLLER UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS
I have an lan / modem card without drivers and cant find them on support drivers website .i have dp/n 06158u revA00 the card manufacturer is Action Tec and other markings on the card is DS/N TW-06158U-44432-1AF-1803
I would like to know if the Killer 1103 is compatible with the XPS17? I know the XPS has 3 antennas so is it just a matter of whether the bios will recognize it?
I have a 2 year old v305w printer i want to use with my new imac and ipad. Its perfectly good and dont want to throw it out. Are there drivers available to make this compatible with air print on my ipad and imac?
I have Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, which I bought 3.5 years back. The laptop used to work fine before. I just shifted home 1.5 month back. Previously I used to have the wireless router always close to my laptop, so I never realized this issue. Now the wireless router (802.11n) for Fibre optics internet is in the ground floor and my studio is on 2nd floor. In my office latop, which is a new one, I get 3 out of 5 signal bars and get 34-56 mbps signal. But my Dell laptop does not get any signal, but when it is closer to the router it works fine.
if I buy an USB network Adapter device which is n series and supports upto 300mbps signal, then will it improve the situation? If yes, then which devices are preferred and how can I know whether that new device is compatible with my laptop settings (as this is a bit old one) or not? If not, then how can I improve the wireless reception? I have tried with booster etc already. I have also updated the network adapter drivers.the wireless card I have is: Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN minicard?
I can't get the internal 3G modem on my HP2510p with Windows 7 Professional 32 bit working. So far I've downloaded and installed the following:-
HP Broadand Wireless Modules - Sierra Wireless Inc HP Connection Manager - Hewlett Packard HP Wireless Assistant - Hewlett Packard Qualcomm Gobi Driver Package for HP - QUALCOMM
but it's still saying 'no dial tone' and not reading that it has a 3G modem. If I've downloaded anything, how I can uninstall it.
I am thinking about buying Dell 5550 module to my Latitude E6410. I know that for E6410 is designed 5540 module, but newer 5550 for E6420 has ability to use faster HSPA+ networks.
So my question is, any info on this combination of Latitude E6410 and Dell 5550 module?
I have a Dell Dimension3000 with XP SP3.. I recently tried to uninstall some of my USB ports to resolve a problem I was having with my iPod... but in the process it seems tohave knocked out my internet connection. In Device Manager under Network Adapters, it shows two devices --
1. Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network connection
2. USB 10/100 LANThe Intel device seems to be working, but the USB LAN has a warning exclamation through it.. and it says the drivers are not installed. How do I get these drivers? All links I find are for the Intel product.. if I downloaded this, would it correct the missing drivers on the USB LAN device?
I just did a fresh install of Windows 7 (x64) on Dell laptop- Dell Inspiron N5110 . I did not rebuild it from the factory restore disc as that failed to work. The installation is complete. I am trying To get my Wi-Fi to work by pressing FN+F2 however it is not working, the Bluetooth icon appears instead which doesn’t work either.I have tried to look for the wifi adapter in the device manager, but it does not exist in the list.I understand that I have to install the drivers. Will that do the trick? I also don’t know what the name of the wifi adapter is, so don’t know which driver to install.
I'm having an issue with the Bluetooth drivers on the E6520, basically I had all the drivers installed and device manager was reporting no issues, all of a sudden (a day later to be exact) I have three unknown bluetooth devices in Device manager and I can't install drivers for them. [code]
I have tried the following methods to install the drivers all have failed.Update through device manager and use Windows Update.Update via Device Manager and manually specify the drivers location
Tried using Dell client system update utility manually downloaded the Buletooth package from Dell, only to have it fail (I can't veiw the entire error, but I think its to do with me using 64bit) Unistalled & Reinstalled the entire bluetooth module.I had a similar issue with my E5410, but can't recall how I worked it out.
I'm planning to replace my flaky minipcie wifi and I need advice about the antenna. My laptop has two sets of antenna, one for 3G WWAN and the other is for normal wifiAccording to the labels, both is "Main" and "Aux". The card that I'm planning to get is an Intel 5300 which has 3 antennas.Since the normal wifi only has two antennas, can I use the 3G WWAN as a third antenna? If yes, should I plug in the "Main" or the "Aux"? If no, Should I buy those additonal antennas in Ebay for the 3rd one?
