View 1 RepliesMy set-up is as follows.Orange Livebox (with no wireless network card), which is hooked up to a Buffalo Airstation HP-G54. Which is in access point mode.I have an old desktop PC (Medion from 2003/2004), and a new A52J laptop. Everything works perfectly fine, and I had great internet access all over the house.I have a new housemate who has moved in, and she has brought with her a Dell Inspiron N5030 laptop. This laptop is causing me nightmares!!All of us are on Windows 7.Basically, the internet is disconnecting all of the time, and right clif**king the icon and trying to fix does nothing at all. The only way to fix things are to reset both the Orange Livebox modem and the Buffalo Airstation router. My laptop/PC are using static IP addresses, I've tried hers on a static IP and also using DHCP - neither worked. I have tried ALL channels on the Buffalo Airstation - nothing works. I've tried updating her wireless network card driver - it did nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron N5030. Due to virus issues, I had to reinstall Windows 7 again using the Reinstallation DVD. Right now I am unable to connect to my home Wifi. I'm guessing I have to reinstall the drivers as well, but cannot find the CD for the drivers right now.
View 3 Replies View Related have an Inspiron N5030 (Model 5030-8277) which says it runs Windows 7 as a 64 bit OS. When I looked in the System Properties it confirmed it was a 64 bit OS.
However, upon trying to load the Windows 8 Consumer Preview (through VM Ware 8 - which has worked on my other 64 bit system so its not the file which is corrupt or the wrong VM Ware) the OS doesn't load in the virtual machine due to my system apparently being 32-bit and therefore incompatible with a 64-bit .iso file...
I have updated my BIOS to the most recent version available for my model.
So am I actually running on 64-bit or do I need to download specific drivers?
I have a Dell Inspiron N5030 laptop that I just installed a new hard drive in. Prior to the new install had no issues with wireless connectivity, now I have none. I have researched this issue for the past three days without success.
I also installed a new wireless card which still did not solve my problem. As I said, this is a Dell Inspiron N5030. Operating system is Windows 7 32-bit The network adapter is an Atheros AR8152 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller. In the Device Manager the Network Controller is listed under "Other Devices" The new wireless card installed is listed as a DNXA-95-D1. That is really the only information I can give you about this card.
Side note: I can get on the internet if I hard wire in, just can't access internet wirelessly.
i have an inspiron N5030 i add bluetooth devices and can send files to all but i can't receive from any of them
and when i add devices some of them added correctly while others have problems in installing driver of bt peripheral device
I have an Inspion N5030 running Windows 8 with the Dell 365 Bluetooth chip installed. Up until recently I was able to use my chip to connect a Sculpt Touch Bluetooth mouse, but as of late, I am not. When I place the mouse into discovery mode I am able to see the mouse, but when I try to connect to it I get an error that says, "That didn't work. Try again and make sure your mouse is discoverable." I know the Bluetooth chip is still working as I am able to control my iPhone from the computer. I have all the updates installed for my system, including the driver for the Bluetooth card.

Have followed what you all have said and that problem posts more than ANY other about the Network Driver not being installed. This happens when you lose your operating and reinstall or up grade to AnyTHING other than what was originally installed, OR get the recommended updates from Microsoft. If you do happen to solve the problem the MS updates will disable it again. The Dell drivers they recommend for the NOW non supported WLAN 1395 Mini Card which was installed originally in all Vista Home installs is the Multi device A17_R174291.exe (89.86 Mb) AND it does not work---NOT SUPPORTED pop up at beginning of install. and naturally no disk prodived by Dell in original purchase package.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just did a fresh install of Windows 7 (x64) on Dell laptop- Dell Inspiron N5110 . I did not rebuild it from the factory restore disc as that failed to work. The installation is complete. I am trying To get my Wi-Fi to work by pressing FN+F2 however it is not working, the Bluetooth icon appears instead which doesn’t work either.I have tried to look for the wifi adapter in the device manager, but it does not exist in the list.I understand that I have to install the drivers. Will that do the trick? I also don’t know what the name of the wifi adapter is, so don’t know which driver to install.

I tried installing that from the support.dell.com but it does not work.
I've recently bought Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop, however there seems to be one small issue: can't get WLan drivers installed.I'm using Windows 7 (64x edition). On Device Manager, under "Other Devices" there is an unknown "Network Controller".
Tried installing drivers from Dell Drivers & Downloads section (yes, used my service tag), but there was a problem with following ones: R252544 for Dell Wireless WLAN 1520 Half MiniCard. Result: "No compatible hardware found. The software you are attempting to install is not supported on this system. The software will not be installed." Half Mini Card
- R247430 for Intel Intel (R) WiMAX Link 6250. Result: "This software package cannot be installed on your system."
- R252283 for Intel Intel(R) WiFi Link 6200 "No compatible hardware found. The software you are attempting to install is not supported on this system. The software will not be installed."
All these messages appear right after running setup. Other drivers were installed successfully and in the right order.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI received a refurbished Dell Inspiron 6000 as a gift. The computer was originally XP but was updated to Windows 7. When I tried to connect to a network, I couldn't. I checked for problems and found out it was missing the wireless network controllers driver. I tried connecting it with a normal network cable and it recognized it but still couldn't reach the internet. I found the origional Inspiron 6000 drivers in the drivers section of the dell support website but I am unsure if they would work with a Windows 7 OS.

The Wireless LAN is installed but the sometimes wireless networks are not detecting until the computer and access point are restarted several times. The situation is similar to the problem which I faced for Windows 7 in the following thread.

I like to know how to solve this error, where to find proper drivers and how to configure the laptop and OS to work properly.
i just reinstalled windows on my laptop and i figured i could just download drivers from the dell website. after following the installation order specified on the website.. installing first the NSS and then the chipset, etc.. I realized there wasn't a driver for the NIC on the website. i also noticed that the steps didn't include a step for ethernet drivers, so i replaced the NIC step with installing the broadcom integrated controller. unfortunately, after completing the rest of the installation steps, my Network Controller driver is still not installed (looking in the device manager), a hardwire connection through the ethernet cable gives me "limited or no connectivity" and there is no wireless capability whatsoever.
