i`m having a dell inspiron N 5110 i7 and i cant connect to internet at all. i think i`m missing some drivers for network adapter and bluetooth also not working?

I just got a new Inspiron 5110 laptop. I can connect to internet via wireless but I cannot get internet via my cable provider. It works on my old desk top. Does something new to be re configured??

I installed a new HDD and installed OS Windows XP Home edition - I installed video drivers and chipset - Now I had no idea which drivers to installed so I installed the default listed Network drivers in the CD provided to me BUT I dont know somehow they are not visible -- ALL the network and other devices in the Device Manager have yellow Question mark along with ! and are saying Device drivers for this drivers not found - I have installed all sort of drivers from support.dell.com but still does not work.

I know I could just re-download the drivers except my internet network won't connect to wifi or router so I can not get on the internet to download the drivers!
View 1 Replies View Relatedi just reinstalled windows on my laptop and i figured i could just download drivers from the dell website. after following the installation order specified on the website.. installing first the NSS and then the chipset, etc.. I realized there wasn't a driver for the NIC on the website. i also noticed that the steps didn't include a step for ethernet drivers, so i replaced the NIC step with installing the broadcom integrated controller. unfortunately, after completing the rest of the installation steps, my Network Controller driver is still not installed (looking in the device manager), a hardwire connection through the ethernet cable gives me "limited or no connectivity" and there is no wireless capability whatsoever.

i reinstalled Windows Vista using the disc that came with the Dell Inspiron 1525.I then went to the dell website, downloaded and installed the 2 network drivers. So now the internet works with a cable but the network card is still not showing up.How is the laptop still not recognising the wireless card? Are there any additional drivers i need?

Wireless adapter is enabled in BIOS and I have used Fn+F2 to turn off and on wireless device, but still nothing.
I've got a Dimension 8300 which I loaded Windows Server 2003. I've looked high and low for a compatible network driver with no luck.
I've attempted to install WinXP drivers as I've read that it worked for others in the past... no luck for me though. I've also tried a number of different chipset drivers without any luck.
Problem I've been having with my laptop. Following the directions of a Dell technician while trying to resolve a separate problem, I deleted the partitions on my hard drive and manually reinstalled both Vista and all the drivers that were on the Dell CD that came with my laptop. When I tried connecting to the internet, Vista said I did not have any wireless networking hardware, but before the reinstallation it worked just fine. I am able to connect to the internet using a wired connection, but my wireless adapter still isn't working. I use Windows Vista 32-bit SP1

I am not sure what to look for at this point. I also downloaded a 32 bit gen adapter from Intel but it wont load. I could use a push in the right direction so I can get back to getting my homework done.

Adapter does not start at any time if I don't remove battery for a long period, or a shorter period if I depress the on/off button for 15-20 seconds. Works fine if it starts, but when it does not start it does not appear in Device Manager. If I close the lid (sleep) for even a split second the wifi will not come back on because the adapter is not active. The computer does not wake from sleep normally either, but that's been going on from the beginning and the wlan adapter is a new issue (in a long line of issues with this laptop.)

It is my understanding that these are used to send IPV4 encapsulated IPV6 packets across intranet, and that I need to update the network card drivers to fix the issue. I am not sure if the drivers shown on the Dell site will fix this issue.
just joined but i had a virus on my laptop which i had to re-install windows 7 ultimate (not through a CD) so i log back in my laptop to find my f-keys aren't working and that i cannot connect to the internet without the ethernet cable , beside my network controller it has a yellow exclamation mark saying "windows cannot find the driver code 28"

I have an Acer Aspire One Net Book running Windows XP Home it is equipped with an internal wireless network adapter. I can connect/communicate with router and access the internet with no problems whatever. However, when I connect an external wireless network adapter e.g. Alpha AWUS036H I cannot get a connection when I disable my internal network adapter. I have also tried the Trendnet TEW-424UB USB external wireless network adapter and the symptoms are exactly the same.

View 1 Replies View RelatedComputer got bad virus (the FBI one on the news) so after every attempt to eradicate it failed, I did a fresh install of Windows 7 onto the computer. However for some reason it won't even acknowledge that it has a Network Adapter. When I go to Driver Devices, there is no Network Adapter to even click on to see what the adapter is so I know what kind of driver to install.
So being an optimist I installed several drivers and nothing has worked. Its set on cable connection and I can't get it to acknowledge its wi-fi. I haven't tried plugging it straight into the modem yet. That's my next step.
I have a two month old Inspiron 1525 laptop with a 1395 WLAN mini-card. My network adapter has disappeared from my computer. When I run the diagnostic on the Network, I get " computer does not have a network adapter installed and configured" What is going on Dell? When I try and troubleshoot it shows me that the Broadcom 802.11 Multiband Network Adapter has a Code 10 error and says the "device cannot start." I have tried uninstalling and updating the driver, but it just continues to tell me that it has the best driver every-time I try and update it.If I plug the laptop in to the router with a wired connection it works just fine, so it is obviously an issue with the wireless adapter.what I should do in order to get this to take a new driver so it works again?

Kept all the disks shipped with the lappy, Prepped the HD per the media rules, loaded windows and the mediadirect and the driver resource CD.. they all had autoexecs and seem to run fine. Failed to connect to the net.. checked it out on device mgr, found the code 10 fail.. All other drivers seemed to have loaded..
tried to update the driver.. it said it already had the correct driver. - fail
DLed the Broadcom driver to a thumb and installed it - no difference. Rebooted.. several times during all this.
Read here it might be install order - thought I might try it manually. Looked for Intel T7250 drivers.. "not currently available" here.

I did not rebuild it from the factory restore disc as that failed to work.The installation is complete. I am trying To get my Wi-Fi to work by pressing FN+F2 however it is not working, the Bluetooth icon appears instead which doesn’t work either.I have tried to look for the wifi adapter in the device manager, but it does not exist in the list.I understand that I have to install the drivers. Will that do the trick? I also don’t know what the name of the wifi adapter is, so don’t know which driver to install.
