I can't get the internal 3G modem on my HP2510p with Windows 7 Professional 32 bit working. So far I've downloaded and installed the following:-
HP Broadand Wireless Modules - Sierra Wireless Inc
HP Connection Manager - Hewlett Packard
HP Wireless Assistant - Hewlett Packard
Qualcomm Gobi Driver Package for HP - QUALCOMM
but it's still saying 'no dial tone' and not reading that it has a 3G modem. If I've downloaded anything, how I can uninstall it.
I buyed a dell inspiron 1525 laptop. I am looking to buy a wwan card for the same. some wwan cards and where i can buy? I looked into some wwan cards on ebay but i don't want to end up buying non-compatible card.
I'm planning to replace my flaky minipcie wifi and I need advice about the antenna. My laptop has two sets of antenna, one for 3G WWAN and the other is for normal wifiAccording to the labels, both is "Main" and "Aux". The card that I'm planning to get is an Intel 5300 which has 3 antennas.Since the normal wifi only has two antennas, can I use the 3G WWAN as a third antenna? If yes, should I plug in the "Main" or the "Aux"? If no, Should I buy those additonal antennas in Ebay for the 3rd one?
Client has an ASA5505 anchoring an MPLS network. One of their branch offices is experiencing frequent circuit outages due to theft of copper lines. I am looking at an 881G with wireless aircard as a backup solution and creating a VPN tunnel to the ASA but am unsure about how to handle routing on the ASA. There will already be a route for the branch subnet for the MPLS network.
I'd like to get a new WWAN card for my Dell XPS 1340 - currently there is 5530, though now I would like to put 5550 or 5560. I have read couple of threads on dell forums, other forums regarding the drivers availability and compatibility, however I haven't noticed any for 1340. Even though mentioned cards are not officially available for this model?
I just got a new Latitude E4200 with a Dell Wireless 5530 3G/UMTS/WWAN card. I installed Win7 and now I cannot locate a 3G/WWAN software (the drivers are working fine, but I just cannot find the software that allows me to connect with the Vodafone 3G/WWAN network). I am using the "Dell Mobile Broadband Card Utility" software on my D830 (5520 card; also on Win7), but I cannot find that software or its successor for the 5530 card.
I have two desktop PCs connected via PRO/100VE LAN and am about to replace one of these with a desktop that has Integrated 10/100/1000Base-T. Will the two machines be able to communicate? One machine will use XP Home and the new machine Windows 7.
What I am trying to do is port forward certain ports so the servers I'm trying to run will allow other people to connect. So far I got no where since I got a new ISP. They can't provide any assistance since I use a netgear router. One of their tech support said their modem has a built in router. The rest all said no. I noticed that the IP in CMD when I type ipconfig /all is 192.168.1.(15-47) it switches every now and then. But that is a local IP. Wouldn't that single that the modem is already routing the IP? When I put my router on it switches to 10.0.0.(2-55). These are all local IP's though. Does the modem have an integrated routing feature? Verizon really sucks so far. They can't answer their own questions without conflicting with each other.
The modem is getting the IP, and putting it into a local IP (What I believe is a routing feature) for the network. Now the local IP goes to the netgear wireless router, and gets routed again (Changed the local IP to 10.0.0.?). The netgear only got a Local IP the first time however, so the external IP is not being... worked with in the netgear router. It is trying to port forward for the local IP address, which already works for me obviously, however it is not a WAN IP address and therefore no one else is able to connect to any of my servers. And lastly, verizon states they have only "Modems" and "Wireless routers" so if they have no modems that doesn't come with this feature, then I need to learn how to port forward while the IP is being routed twice, similarly to when you have two routers hooked into each other.
Bought a Vostro 220S about 2 months ago. After about three weeks, while I'm using it, the integrated NIC dies. All of a sudden I get the "Network Cable Disconnected" pop-up. No LEDs lit by the network jack. Contact Dell support who decides it's the motherboard.Three days later, the exact same failure. Contact support again. This time they want me to re-install Windows (yeah...right). I refused since the motherboard fixed it the first time. They finally agree to replace the motherboard again. Using the same router and cable that worked for years with my old computer. After the first failure, I switched ports on the router. While waiting for the motherboard replacements, I had installed an old PCI NIC I had laying around. Worked fine...still is. I'm not about to re-install Windows, which is what I know they'll want. I'll stick with the PCI card. Both of the people at Dell support as well as the tech they sent out told me they've not seen this before.
there was a very close lightning strike near my house and my DELL XPS 210 accessed the router before but not after. Noother elctronics, even my 2 other DELL computers were affected. I've eliminated the NIC cables, router port, everything but the actual NIC card. But diagnostics say it's working properly. Could a registry entry have been corrupted (I have a registry backup the day before). Can I replace the Integrated NIC with an internal (or external) NIC? I'm running XP Professional SP3.
HP just released the 8560p elitebook- not a bad shake and it actually has an integrated Serial port.Any other notebooks that have integrated serial ports?- I know the T6x Thinkpads used to use a slimbay adapter thing. I just hate the Usb adapter, and bossman said I could get a new computer here pretty soon...
How to upgrade the IOS of the Integrated wireless AP in a Cisco 881W using TFTP server (I do have software)Router side is not an issue it is the integrated AP that gives problem?
I have a client that that is installing a new network. They have requested the use of an CISCO891W-AGN-A-K9 mostly to be consistent with upgrades perfomed at other sites. I agree with the use of this router, so that's OK. The issue is that they have requested that I use the integrated PoE available on this model. I'm also OK with this as it will make a much neater installation. However, I can't seem to find much information on how to get the integrated PoE. I need clarification as to whether I can get a kit to upgrade this router. I generally purchase from sites like newegg or cdw (I'm an independent contractor) and I can't seem to find one with it. I have found some information on 800-IL-PM-4 and 800-ILPM-4 (who could confuse those ). Are they the same or different? Which one is the correct one and does it include the AC power adapter and can if be retro'ed into a router without the PoE?
I was doing some research on the Cisco ASR1001 model Router and within the description on the official Cisco page it mentions having various models that come with an "Integrated Daughter Card" or "IDC". I was curious as to what the IDC is exactly, considering there is an ASR1001 model without it.
I have 3850 switch with integrated WLC and i wonder if i can access the WLC via GUI ,also i need to know if it support Dynamic vlan assignment over SSID.
I am currently deploying Cisco ASR9K BNG solution and it needs to be integrated with a Cisco ACS 3.3 (yes that old .. going to migrate to new product in the future) equipment. There are several specific attributes need that are not on the base config of the ACS 3.3 but it seems that i can configure them manually:In addition to supporting a set of predefined RADIUS vendors and vendor-specific attributes (VSAs), Cisco Secure ACS supports RADIUS vendors and VSAs that you define. Vendors you add must be IETF-compliant; therefore, all VSAs that you add must be sub-attributes of IETF RADIUS attribute number 26..This is from the ACS 3.3 configuration manual.I have never done this user defined VSAs.
I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 with windows xp. A couple of days ago the computer couldn't find any wireless connections. I've been into devmgmt.msc and looked, but I don't see any network card. In the folder Network Connections there are three alternatives, and none are wireless...I've tried to download the drivers for chipset, modem and network, but I still can't find anything.
Gonna use a Dell Precision T3500 with Win7 Pro as a file server for 6 PCs. Would it be worthwhile to pick up an Intel CT pcie x1 NIC (EXPI9301CTBLK) for under $40 or just go with the integrated Broadcom 5761?
I am getting the new Cisco 2921/K9 router, which comes by default with 3 Integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports. I have Comcast Cable as the ISP, so can I connect the ISP RJ45 Copper cable directly to one of the integrated ports or do I have to buy another WAN Interface Cards for the ISP.
I try to connect from my Windows 7 32bit PC with CISCO VPN Client (5.0.07.0410) to a CISCO Concentrator 3005.

The strange thing is, that I don't have any problems with the same CISCO VPN Client on a Windows Vista PC:
I’m intending to establish a VPN connection between Nortel 1140E phone behind a ADSL router and a Cisco ASA 5520.can any one confirm to me if the vpn client on the Nortel 1140E phone is compatible with Cisco ASA
Have a customer who has two ISPs right now and only using one through a basic SOHO router. Looking to upgrade to something that supports dual WAN and allows connections from outside in on both WAN ports. There are 25-30 inside hosts.Requirements: Allow incoming connections on BOTH WAN ports to a single inside host
-This is a web app that needs as close to 100% uptime as possible -Round robin DNS is set up -Failover for internal people should one of the ISPs go down
Looking at either an ASA 5505 with Security Plus or an 891 Integrated Service Router.
I was wondering if I could use the CISCO3945 Integrated Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports for routing, I need to enable BGP and I was willing to use one of those ports.
I have an integrated 881W with a built in 801 access point. I'm interested in increasing the range of my AP. I'm interested in considering any configuration changes while still maintaining support for N. I've included a copy of my running config. As well, I've heard of high gain antennas. I'm using the default antennas that came with the 881W. If there are better antennas that I can buy to increase my range, I'm interested in considering that as well.
I've been working with a client's integrated 3750 WLC running 4.0.179.11. I want to upgrade the code because it is old plus I am having DHCP trouble. I have a couple of questions:
1. Is it OK to upgrade to SWLC3750K9-5-2-193-0.aes ? or do I need to go through 4.2 first ? 2. Will that code upgrade the bootloader at the same time? 3. How can I make sure there is enough flash space on the WLC? 4. Are there any special considerations to plan/prepare for?
The DHCP issue is failure of associated clients to get an IP address with this message found in WLC debugging:
We had one 877W Cisco Soho Router ,I am planing to do a Site-Site VPN connection .while i configuring the router i am facing issue in assighning IP address in BVI interface .It gave me error "integrated routing and bridging is not configured bvi" .how can i resolve the issue .
I remember I did that one time on 2800 router with Gi0/0 and Gi0/1 to connect another port channel in 3560G switch. I have no way to try it in ISR G2 router like 2900 or 3900 now. I know the the ethernet switch module must support it. I wonder if the integrated interfaces support it or not.
I came accross a Cisco 1801 router. As I understand it supposed to work with a dsl connection for internet access and configuration. I have cable internet access at home and since cisco routers are very versatile, I want to know if I can integrate this router into my home network, as a secondary router, and use it for its SSL vpn capabilities?
Any relevant doc for ACS4.2 on 1113 platform to be integrated with Unix Directory service having LDAP10.2.0.0 version from Oracle or guidance available.
I have two of these computers side by side. The card in issue is recognized, but says no driver. I have copied the driver from the good 580e, downloaded everything I could, and cannot get it? Using Win7, 64 bit, comcast DSL. The bad one just stopped working?
I have integrated Intel 82577LM Gigabit Network Controller installed in my E6510.after installing updated driver from Intel and running hardware test it stopped working (displays "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" in driver details page). Also it says that device is 82577LC (it used to be 82577LM).
Intel hardware test displayed "EEPROM Failure" message. Looks like this test damaged network card firmware somehow. How do I restore/reset EEPROM of the network cad?i also tried deinstalling and reinstalling previous version of driver from Dell - no luck.
I'm planning to use these with a 2504 controller. However, I cannot find a straight answer on whether or not the External Antennas provide better coverage than the Integrated Antennas? These will be wall mounted in a combo office/warehouse environment. Also, I cannot figure out if the External Antennas are even included with the 1602E (AIR-CAP1602E-A-K9)? or what if any power adapter/ injector is included with the AP's?
I am trying to get documentation on how to integrate an ACE30 module in a service chassis design integrated with the Nexus 7000 in routed mode. Only documentation I could find shows this design with the ACE30 module in a one arm mode. Any documentation that shows this implementation of this design?
