Mar 22, 2011have one laptop setup as wireless a desktop attached by wire, received a netbook and when i go on wireless i see my whatever you call it and then it asks me for my password.

Jan 4, 2011I have a couple of Linksys WRT54GS V7 routers, they work fine, with the exception that when I login to the web interface, I select the drop down box for DHCP to change it to a static IP, the page refreshes, but comes right back to the same screen with DHCP selected again, I can change the time zone with no issues, I entered the Static DNS info. I've tried a couple of different PC's with a couple of different IE versions. I already updated to the newest firmware, firmware is 7.50.8, I've also factory reset it a couple of times, and I've just run into a brick wall. I've setup hundreds of these routers before so it's not like I don't know how.

Dec 11, 2012i just pickup a linksys wrt54gs v5 and I cannot log into it. I reset the modem and tried to log in with the default usr/pass ( usr= leave blank , pass= admin) and it is still not working . I also tried other combination of admin, administraror, password and still nothing. Any usr/password that might work? Also I though of I might get around this problem by flashing to dd-wrt or tomato do I need to do anything in webadmin to do this?

Mar 5, 2011I have a linksys wrt54gs wireless router (working fine since last 3 years) which connects to the internet fine if there is no password set. However if i set WEP password to protect the wireless connection, i am not able to connect to the wireless connection. Everytime i enter the passphrase, when trying to connect to the wireless network, it refuses to accept the password. I have tried this with 2 laptops (both running windows 7) and both have same issue.

Aug 14, 2011There is a way to block access to a website by password protecting it through my linksys router, which is one of thoe wrt54gs. I know I can completely block access of a website and can restrict the viewing hours of facebook at certain times through the router admin IP site but was wondering if it was possible to make it so you have to use a password to view said certain site. If there isn't is there any way maybe through a program or do I have to go through my ISP to see if they can do what I am asking for.
