Apr 16, 2013Just got a new router. All of my devices connect fine to it except for the desktop that is using an external Linksys wireless adapter (WUSB54AG).The desktop is running Windows XP (Home Edition) SP3.The latest driver for the adapter has been installed (3.0.18.0).I am able to connect if security on the router is turned OFF.The router has 3 security options:
1) WPA-PSK (TKIP)
2) WPA2-PSK (AES)
3) WPA-PSk (TKIP) + WPA2-PSK (AES)
My understanding (from Linksys tech support) is that the device SHOULD be able to connect using WPA-PSK (TKIP). My Linksys Monitor indicates that the device is connected to the access point but not the internet (when I used WPA-PSK (TKIP). The IP address that is assigned is 169.254.3.129 and not the expected 192.168.1.x.When I turn security OFF on the router, the device can connect and I am assigned a "good" IP address (192.168.1.x).
Home Network :: Netgear Router WNR 2000 V3 - Cannot Access Internet When Security Password Chosen?
Apr 13, 2013I just bought a Netgear Router WNR 2000 v3 and installed it. I got inside the router and could set up a Network Name and security key. However, I can not access the internet when I chose a security password using WPA 2, WPA-PSK + WPA 2 PSK, or WPA/WPA 2. It only accesses the internet when I chose None.( no secured ).At this time, my network is unsecured because there isn't way I can access the internet when I create a security key using the 3 options the router offers.
Note : I have tried the 3 security options creating a key number and my computer connect to the wireless network but don't access the internet. It only access the internet when I select None ( no secured )
Wireless :: Netgear WN3000RP Wireless Range Extender Security Setting?
Jan 2, 2012I have just purchased a Netgear WN3000RP wireless extender.The security setting on all devices on the existing network show as WPA2-PSK wireless n but the extender comes up as WPA-PSK wireless g although the instructions say it will copy existing security settings.There is supposed to be a Netgear website to log on to an installation wizard but this doesn't work and appears not to have worked for some months.Why are Netgear still selling this device without an installation disc when they must know by now that their site doesn't work?Is there any way to alter the security setting of the extender?

I've double checked with Active Directory, and he is a member of both groups.
This person SHOULD have access to Job searches/ and Restaurants,but receives a "content blocked" message on his browser.It appears to me that the settings in Sonicwall are correct, as well with AD member groups.

I recently erased flash and loaded the latest asa841-k8.bin version of IOS along with asdm-642.bin. Everything booted fine and came up as it does when freshly wiped however I noticed that i was now only running a base license. If I issue the sh activiation-key command, I noticed the following messages (full output is at the bottom):
