I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate. Now I created a Wireless Network from my Router, but I forgot the password. It is WEP encryption. The only way I can connect to the wireless network is if I disable the security in my router config.

I've double checked with Active Directory, and he is a member of both groups.
This person SHOULD have access to Job searches/ and Restaurants, but receives a "content blocked" message on his browser. It appears to me that the settings in Sonicwall are correct, as well with AD member groups.
Having an issue with a Cisco Linksys E1500 on a home network. The device has a feature to provide a guest wireless network but the guest network can't get to the internet. A wired connection is fine, as is the normal wireless network but not the guest. The cheesy thing is, that it doesn't list an option for what type of wireless security protocol you want on the guest network. I'm assuming that it uses the same security protocol that the normal wireless network uses, but who knowsEspecially weird is that it asks you what password you want on the guest network but then the guest network show to be insecure when you try to connectthought maybe it was something funky with some of my configurations so I went ahead and factory defaulted it and just set it up with an insecure network for both the normal and guest networks. This didn't solve it. The guest network still couldn't get to the internet. In fact, the guest network can't even ping the router.

The wiresless connection was working fine. Now ... even though I have reinstalled the os twice, there is no wireless to be found. I do have an indicator light that says it's on. There is no Windows Mobility Center available in the Start menu All Programs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently started having some odd issues with one of my computers connecting to the internet on my linksys wireless-n router from my pc. When I enter in the security settings correctly for the network I have setup here at home, it says "The wireless network security key is not correct."But I know it is, and I have confirmed on my laptop (which is using the correct settings and is having no issues at all, it's what I'm posting this with) the settings are correct. It has the correct 'Security type (wpa2-personal)', encryption type (aes), and network security key. I have restarted the pc computer and reset the router from factory settings many times, all to no avail. I've used several different linksys wireless adapters and usb slots, and it keeps on with the same issue. Kind of odd thing is, when I change the security type on my computer settings to wpa personal from wpa2 personal, and encryption type to tkip from aes, and enter the passcode correctly, it will connect to the network but with no internet access, local only. I've also connected to the wireless routers setup page (192.168.1.1.) from the laptop and confirmed settings. When I am able to connect from the pc when I change the settings and it gives me local access, I am still unable to the routers setup (192.168.1.1), so I dont know if I'm actually even connected locally when it says I am.Also, the signal strength from the network is Excellent (full bars). When I ipconfig /all ,media state is disconnected When I ping 192.168.1.1 , destination host unreachable, but received all packets with 0% loss.
