How To Reset Network Security Password
Apr 3, 2011I would like to give selected friends and family access through Wi-fi to our home network (Vista windows) however I cannot or do not have the network security id written down anywhere and it is blocked from my viewing when I go to the Control Panel, Network Security page "Network Security Key". How might I reset this security password? And if I do, is this the password a friend would use to gain access to my network?

Cisco Wireless :: WCS 4.2.62.11 Password Reset
Feb 17, 2010I'm very new to WCS and the bloke that configured the bludger has left the company. I'm trying to get into it but I don't have the correct username/password combination.
My query is: How does one do a password reset on a WCS server? Or failing that, is there a way I can ascertain the current unknown password?
I have access to the actual server itself, but not the WCS application. Searching around Cisco.com shows that apparently there is a utility that can be used to reset usernames and passwords however I can't seem to find it. The WCS version is: 4.2.62.11

Mar 29, 2012I bought a new connection with this router, and the first time i tried to access it it had the default <blank> username and password it, so i changed it. But now i really don't remember what it could be. I tried to reset the router, but it still didn't clear the password. I tried to contact my ISP, and they said they can't access my router remotely, i had to reset it myself. I've tried to reset it many times (holding down the reset button for 10-100 seconds), but by PASSWORD won't be reset.
How can i reset it? Is there perhaps any other reset trick for it?

May 3, 2011We recently inherited an Avocent DSR2035 IPKVM. We do not know the password for console access. We're also unable to get it on the network since we don't know what LAN subnet it was previously on, so the only access we have is through the serial console, but can't get into anything.
On the unit, there's no reset button of any kind, and opening the unit did reveal a few connectors, a few jumper posts, one with a jumper actually on it, and an open post next to it.
Any way to reset the password on these? It's dead and useless without it.update: avocent support is great and they worked their magic like schnell states.

I was successful in doing so, but when I try to access it with the default of admin/admin via web browser, I still cannot access it. I am loathe to remove or power off this device without knowing what is on it.
