Belkin Routers :: F5D - How To Hard Reset Password
Dec 8, 2012
I have a belkni F5D Router and I have lost the password to access it. I dont have any computers or devices that still connect to it, and I really need to know how to hard reset the password!
I'm trying to re setup my mother in laws Belkin F9K1002 wireless router. She has no clue as to what her password is for the wireless network or any other Belkin password. When I go to the support website, there are instructions to reset the network password, but you have to login to change the settings. The instructions say to leave the password field at the login blank but when I leave the field blank, I get an error message "Incorrect password. Please confirm your password and try again." So it seems I need the password to reset the password.
I need to reset the channel on my N300 router but in order to do so, I need to log in. The log in screen does not take my existing password. How do I get my current password or reset my password? It should be the simplest thing, but I have found this to be extremely difficult with Belkin.
i forgot my password for my belkin n150 wireless router so now it wont let me change any of my settings.i called tech support and all they wanted to do is get into my computer and sell me security progams .when i told them no they wouldnt reset my password and hung up.
I recently rescued an old Belkin 54G router (Model: F5D7632-4) which I planned to use as an extra wireless access point towards the back of my house where I have some dead spots. I logged in on the Belkin's IP: 192.168.2.1 And went straight to change the IP and put it onto the same subnet as my router. I changed it to: 192.168.0.1 as I had it in my head my router was .254 My router is 192.168.0.1 so obviously this didn't do much and I couldn't access either device.
I unplugged my network and plugged directly into the Belkin to change to another IP and I cannot access it. The operation times out. I can access the normal router when I connect back up to the network fine. To solve this I decided to reset the router. The instruction manual for the Belkin says a momentary push on the reset will do a quick reset. while >20 seconds will perform a full hard reset. Both of these are signified by the power light flashing, and the reset is complete when the power light becomes solid again.
Unfortunately no matter how long I hold the reset button for, the light does not even blink and no reset happens. Obviously this may just be a dodgy reset switch, the router is getting quite old, so I will go in an short the reset pins by hand if I need to. The solution I am looking for is either to reset so I can start again - or obtain access to the router through some other means to change the IP and carry on. When I connect the Belkin to my network, the router cannot see it connected to it's Ethernet port. However the Belkin's link light occasionally flickers.
I have a used wireless belkin router no cd with it i am using it now however anyone has access as i dont know the previous owners password i was wondering if i set it to default factory setting what it would do its model number isF5D7230-4 and im running windows 7 i tried you tube and they walked me through cmd then ip config then it walked me through login no password and i followed entire vidio several times it does not work?
My N750, F9K1103 v1, with the latest firmware, 1.10.16n (2012/12/12 3:46:9), does not recognize the external hard drive when I plug it in. My USB printer works great, but not the hard drive.
I have a F5D8235-4 N+ router and I am trying to connect my Seagate Free Agent hard drive to the USB port on the router so that I can access it on all my network computers. When I first hooked it up, it worked. Now, the drive is lit up like it is working, and when I enter \192.168.2.1 I can see it, however my Windows 7 computer is unable to access it (even though this is the same computer that accessed it when I first hooked it up). The computer I am using is running Windows 7 and is connecting to the network wireless.
I bought the router belkin n600 and it says in the box the USB support the FAT16/32 and NTFS which is I am really interested in but I was disappointed when I attached my book WD essitionl 3TB in to it because the router couldn't see it and I also tried a 320GB Toshiba external hard disk has NTFS file system and it didn't work ..
I have a Western Digital Mybooklive 3Tb hard drive connected to my N750 wireless router. It works fine, except that the new Media Server and the USB print and storage center says there are no USB devices plugged into it! Why is this?
I have a BELKIN F5D8235-4 V2 wireless router and I am trying to hook up my Western Digital My Book Essentials 2.0 1 TB hard drive to gain access wirelessly through the router. I have it connected to the router via USB but do not know how to access the drive. I have tried mapping a new network drive, but it is not listed as a connection. how can I access the drive.
How can I reset my N wireless router f5d8233-4v3? The reset button must have been pushed inside. I was setting it up as a repeater and then it keeps timing out.
According to the Belkin support tech, apparently the weather (?) may have effected my Belkin Model F5D8235-4 v3 router. My wife pressed the re-set button instead of powering down which according to the tech set my router to reading zero (0).Belkin tech refused to tell me how to re-set the router unless I paid $75 for a six month support plan because mine expired recently.
I've just hooked up my previously used N300 router. The router is showing a solid green light, and the laptop recognizes that a solid Belkin wireless connection is out there. I cannot for the life of me remember the network key and/ or pass phrase I originally set. No, I did not tape this info to the underside of the router as suggested in Belkin instructions.
I upgraded my internet connection through charter and they shipped a new modem. Installed my new modem and my 300n will not connect to it. So in my attempts to figured things out I went it in and set it up as an access point only. I can access the internet on my desktop but there is no wireless signal in the house. Cannot connect to 192.168.2.1 now either. Tried the manual reset to factory defaults with no luck. At this point all I get is the small flashing blue light and the tall skinny light is not on at all.
Is there a way to avoid network interruptions when resetting the F5D8235-4 v3 router? I was hoping to find a config file or some other way to avoid having to reset the home network and devices. The administrator password has been lost, so i would like to reset that only and not restore factory settings.
Why My Belkin Router F5D8236-4 Ver 2 always rebooting itself. the router lamp is on and then the security lamp is on and then the router rebooting itself. this happening because im push the reset button. im already try to upgrade the firmware with recovering tool (Boot Loader / Tiny Kernel Version v0.02) from 192.168.2.1 but the problem still happening.
What do I do if my routers light stays amber and wont turn blue? The wifi is not working because of this even though it is saying the signal strength is excellent and I have already done the reset a bunch of times its been two days and I just cant get it to work. Its the N300 router
I'm am getting a "Could not find DHCP daemon" error in the router log (N300 router), but when I connect my cable modem directly to my computer it gets an IP address just fine so I doubt the problem is with my modem or ISP. I've tried resetting the modem and router multiple times but no luck.
I have a conflict with my satellite Internet connection between the modem and router IP addresses. I also somehow entered a password for the router which I now cannot duplicate. received a request for additional information which I responded to in September. I attempted to follow-up in October again, but I have not received any reply since the first one on August 11, 2011.
I've used many Cisco RV042/082 and have just purchased a couple previously used RV016 units. The first think I do is hold down the "reset" switch until the units reset to factory and then proceed programming them - EXCEPT this last unit doesn't seem to be resetting the administrative password. The unit has reset so that it is 192.168.1.1 and is handing out IP assignments via DHCP in that range.
When I point my browser (IE9) to the web page http://192.168.1.1 I am prompted to log on. I enter 'admin' for user name and attempt to enter the same for the password. The browser returns me to the logon prompt and after a few apparently failed attempts it displays a 401 error Unauthorized page.
and simply admin with a blank password.Isn't the admin password supposed to reset with everything else?If not - how can I - if it is, then what would be preventing the admin password from resetting - is there an internal jumper or something I could try? I don't care about preserving any setting obviously I just want access to the admin interface.
Just bought the N150 router. Trying to enter the router setup for the first time. I leave the password blank like it tells me to, but it says i have an incorrect password. Tried pressing reset button for 10 seconds, but get same result.
