View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to re setup my mother in laws Belkin F9K1002 wireless router. She has no clue as to what her password is for the wireless network or any other Belkin password. When I go to the support website, there are instructions to reset the network password, but you have to login to change the settings. The instructions say to leave the password field at the login blank but when I leave the field blank, I get an error message "Incorrect password. Please confirm your password and try again." So it seems I need the password to reset the password.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAccording to the Belkin support tech, apparently the weather (?) may have effected my Belkin Model F5D8235-4 v3 router. My wife pressed the re-set button instead of powering down which according to the tech set my router to reading zero (0).Belkin tech refused to tell me how to re-set the router unless I paid $75 for a six month support plan because mine expired recently.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just hooked up my previously used N300 router. The router is showing a solid green light, and the laptop recognizes that a solid Belkin wireless connection is out there. I cannot for the life of me remember the network key and/ or pass phrase I originally set. No, I did not tape this info to the underside of the router as suggested in Belkin instructions.

How do I get my current password or reset my password? It should be the simplest thing, but I have found this to be extremely difficult with Belkin.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my internet connection through charter and they shipped a new modem. Installed my new modem and my 300n will not connect to it. So in my attempts to figured things out I went it in and set it up as an access point only. I can access the internet on my desktop but there is no wireless signal in the house. Cannot connect to 192.168.2.1 now either. Tried the manual reset to factory defaults with no luck. At this point all I get is the small flashing blue light and the tall skinny light is not on at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm am getting a "Could not find DHCP daemon" error in the router log (N300 router), but when I connect my cable modem directly to my computer it gets an IP address just fine so I doubt the problem is with my modem or ISP. I've tried resetting the modem and router multiple times but no luck.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am an unlucky person who still has a belkin router. Not only do i have a belkin router, my PC is also connected via 2 switch boxes all ethernet cabled together in and around the house.
I am unable to forward and ports succesfully because after i have saved the settings i check it with a port checking site and it says they're all closed.
I have also been getting disconnected from my router when its under stress (Most recently playing League of Legends) but my Dad's Pc (Which is only connected to the Belkin) still stays connected and hasn't experienced any disconnections.
My router model is F5D7634-4 v2, DHCP is enabled but only my Dad's PC appears, UPnP is enabled but doesn't seem to work and my fireware is up to date.
I used to have a different router before this one which never had these disconnecting problems.
My USB Belkin Wireless G Network Adapter seems to disconnect whenever I remove another USB device (usually a memory stick) from the PC.The problem started when I accidentally updated the driver via Windows. It didn't seem to work at all with this updated driver and I couldn't roll back or do a system restore to fix it. I'd done this before and ended up doing a complete re-install of Win 7. This time I did an upgrade install and the driver problem was cured.I'm running a HP XW8400 with Win 7 64 Pro which has been faultless for the 5 years I've had it.The only other change I've made recently is that I've stopped using a D-Link USB hub and started using the USB connectors on the HP LP2465 monitor. This only affects the wireless and no other USB devices.
When it disconnects, Win troubleshooting goes through the motions and reverts to LAN and doesn't see the wireless USB at all. This also happens if I don't use the troubleshooter.Device manager shows the driver to be working, but the wireless USB doesn't function even if I connect it directly to a USB port. The router is still working as all other devices in the house are connected. The only way around it seems to be a re-boot, but when this fault happens the PC gets stuck at "Shutting Down". Without the fault, re-boot or shut down works fine. When it happens I have to power off and on. This usually works fine but every now and then I notice the device driver for the Belkin is disabled.I've found a workaround in that I can take out the Belkin USB before removing another USB device. After the USB stick or whatever is removed if I then reconnect the wireless USB it reconnects fine.
Looking for some instruction on IP camera installation?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have and D-Link modem which is bridged and a PPPoAPPPoE profile set up on the RV220W for my ADSL2+ connection.I cannot for the life of me find anywhere in the routers config web pages to tell the modem to disconnect or reconnect the connetion to the ISP.The reason I want this is because I need to make sure the correct signaling is sent before the connection is stopped so that the exchange doesnt see this as a drop out and reduce our line speed to compensate.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwe bought a router for our company RV042, so far good
What i did:
1. i created QuickVPN clients, droped in certificate which exported from router
******NOTE********All company's laptops are running: Windows 7pro 32bits****************
The users are connecting sucesefully to router and using resources from server etc...
But, when they press disconnect on quickVPN it shows disconnected, but when i log in into router, i still see that they are connected (not disconnecting),
and the problem is they cannot connect to router second time if i don't manually disconnect them from rv042 router....
Only sometimes the clients disconnect properly from router, but it is very very rare...
Question1: Where I should look for the problem in router rv042 or client laptops?
Question2: Does the 64bit windows7 pro OS can connect to RV042router?
I have latest quickvpn software and latest router firmware.
I recently rescued an old Belkin 54G router (Model: F5D7632-4) which I planned to use as an extra wireless access point towards the back of my house where I have some dead spots. I logged in on the Belkin's IP: 192.168.2.1 And went straight to change the IP and put it onto the same subnet as my router. I changed it to: 192.168.0.1 as I had it in my head my router was .254 My router is 192.168.0.1 so obviously this didn't do much and I couldn't access either device.
I unplugged my network and plugged directly into the Belkin to change to another IP and I cannot access it. The operation times out. I can access the normal router when I connect back up to the network fine. To solve this I decided to reset the router. The instruction manual for the Belkin says a momentary push on the reset will do a quick reset. while >20 seconds will perform a full hard reset. Both of these are signified by the power light flashing, and the reset is complete when the power light becomes solid again.
Unfortunately no matter how long I hold the reset button for, the light does not even blink and no reset happens. Obviously this may just be a dodgy reset switch, the router is getting quite old, so I will go in an short the reset pins by hand if I need to. The solution I am looking for is either to reset so I can start again - or obtain access to the router through some other means to change the IP and carry on. When I connect the Belkin to my network, the router cannot see it connected to it's Ethernet port. However the Belkin's link light occasionally flickers.

In this case entering the correct password will solve the problem. However putting your own MAC address into the filter will simply block your own machine.
