Laptop Tablet Will Not Connect To Wireless Anymore
Jun 29, 2012
About last week Thursday Night going into Friday my laptop tablet was able to connect to the internet.Once Friday morning came around, the thing stopped connecting to my wireless adapter.I looked up what to do and tried about as much as i could understand. For example, resetting my computer, restarting the modem by unplugging it then plugging it back in,retyping the password to connect to the wireless connection, switching the wifi button on my tablet off and on,checking to see if dhcp was enabled, and removing the network from the laptops memory & trying to reconnect anew.So far nothing has worked.
I never had any problems getting on the internet before, now I can't connect. It says my signal is excellent, and that its acquiring network address. I have tried repairing the connection, but it doesn't do anything. I also get a box at startup that says:
Error loading C:documents and settingsall users application dataWindowsserviceManager.dll. The specified module could not be found.
I have had my Acer windows vista laptop for about 3 years but it has only been this past year it has stopped connecting to the internet, which means i have to use a cable to access the internet, but im pretty sure its not the ruter because my brothers laptop connects fine, and his is a very old laptop!
I have a Dell 1750 inspiron T4300W7 laptop which worked fine until one night whilst connected to internet via a 3 dongle it just cut off. I have used the dongle many times on this laptop without issue and the dongle still works on my other laptop fine. The Dell laptop now wont connect via any internet method ie wireless or dial up connection, it just says No network access. I run a diagnose and a message said ip address not configured.
I have a laptop that I want to sell, therefore I went to somebody to see my laptop and wanted to connect to his wifi. After repeatedly entering the pass for the wifi ,the wifi was still not connecting.
1. My laptop will see his wifi but after entering the pass will not connect 2. The pass is correct because I introduced the same pass on my mobile and I was able to connect to his wifi through my mobile 3 My laptop wifi is working fine because when I went home it connects automatically on my home wifi 4. I tried to open and close his router but I faced same problem.
iv been using a wireless adapter ever since iv had the xbox. but now it wont connect to the internet anymore. the adapter goes green and links with the router, but it wont work.
Speedtest.net with wifi connection on my laptop gives download of 2 MBPS but on my tablet a download of 20 MBPS. The laptop with ethernet connection also gives 20 MBPS.I replaced the whole modem/router.I uninstalled the wireless drive and let windows reinstall it (it's 2008 version)I couldn't find the exact model on Toshiba website to install the drive.I disabled encryption completely.
So, I currently have a desktop and 3 laptops connected wireless to the router in my home, yet the GATEWAY laptop no longer connects wireless. I have to use the wire in order to connect to the internet and it's starting to become annoying. I had to restore the Gateway laptop back to Windows XP from Windows 7 due to a LARGE amount of issues with Windows 7. I'm in need of this laptop in order to complete my paper work.
Nook touch connects to home wifi but new nook tablet will not connect. Tries to authenticate two times then disconnects. Used same password. It connected to wifi in Barnes and Noble.
I am trying to connect my Nook tablet to my home wireless router for Wi-Fi access. I have a ubee router. I previously used the router for another e-reader.
I have a wrt54gs linsys router with speedbooster. I bought my son a tablet for xmas. I cannot connect the tablet to the network. It finds my network, searches for an IP address, and then disconnects. It will connect for about 2 seconds, and then shows disconnected. My PC's, and WII work fine, although getting the WII ad netflix to reconnect after a power outage is like rocket science requiring field support every time. My tablet wont stay connected, and the book tells me that the router must accept 802.11b/g, and that if it has 802.11n, then it needs to be reconfigured to accept 802.11b/g.
I just purchased a Toshiba Thrive tablet and I can't get it to connect to my wireless router. My router (WRVS4400N) works flawlessly with my laptop and desktop. I have spoken to a Cisco tech rep and they assured me that there is not a compatibility problem with the WPA-Personal setting I am using. When I speak to a Toshiba tech they tell me I have a router conflict. To verify this I went to my local Starbucks and low and behold it logged right on with no problem (The Starbucks system was not a protected system). This confirms to me that there is a conflict between the router and the tablet.Toshiba tells me that it is not compliant with Android but it is with Windows that is why I don't have an issue with the computers.
My entire floor receives wifi from a D-Link router box. For the first 4 months, my laptop was able to find and connect to our wifi fine. Last night the internet crashed. All of my German housemates have internet again, but my laptop does not show the network anymore. My wireless card picks up all the other signals in range, but not our router's. I can only get internet with an ethernet cable.
i have just purchased my wrt54gl two weeks ago. Setup was a breeze and it worked flawlessly until this morning when i noticed i had no internet. The ethernet light on my modem, when connected to router (Ubee 10C035 3.0/Comcast ISP) will blink 2-3 times then stop for a half second then blink 2-3 times and so on. Plugged ethernet cable from pc directly into modem and my desktop connected to the 'net fine and light was blinking normally(constantly) again. A few power cycles/reset of the Router to defaults but no luck.
I have an E4200. Since yesterday morning I can't connect to a certain website. This happened all of a sudden. I am able to connect to any other website I try to access, but this particular one won't connect at all anymore. If I unplug the router and connect directly from my computer to my modem, then I can access it with no problem. I haven't done anything to the router. Was there some sort of update yesterday. The website I can't connect to is [URL]
The wireless Internet at home is not working on my laptop anymore. It's working fine on my mobile as well as with other wireless networks at school for example. No matter what browser I use I usually dont get to any website. Most of the time it says access: local only, or local and internet, or limited connectivity. If I'm lucky at the right time I can open a website but then it's gone again.
I have A lan Connetion With Username and password.now i want to connect this Lan connection to my Tablet...I Have Lan to Ethernet USB Connector. How Can I Connect?
I recently relocated to South East Asia. I have stayed in a guest house for two months and my PC and cell phone are connected wirelessly to an access point.
The IP address of the PC is: 192.168.1.10
The IP address of the cell phone is: 192.168.1.3
Port number: 5500
Software on Smart Phone (Android, Samsung Galaxy SII): RealVNC Software on PC: TightVNC
I have tested connecting smart phone-to-PC through VNC before while I was still in my home office in Scandinavia and it used to work.
(When I hover over the TightVNC icon on the PC it says 192.168.1.10, 192.168.71.1, 192.168.163.1 (no auth!). Not sure if that's relevant.
The cell phone just says "connecting..." but nothing happens. Have been trying to solve this on my own for too long. I have tried adjusting settings but no luck so far.
When my wife starting working from home she couldn't connect t her work laptop to our wireless router, so the tech person from her job did some kind of reconfiguration, so I just bought this new Acer tablet and now I can't connect it to the router....now I do have an old netgear router available.
my pc (windows xp) will no longer connect to my network. i have two laptops on same network and they still connect without a problem. i've made no changes that i know of except to add my wifes kindle to the network. i know next to nothing about computers
I bought an ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard, an i5 3570K and a Corsair Vengeance 4GB card a month ago. I built it with a Radeon HD 5670 graphic card, CoolerMaster 500W, a Sony lightscribe DVDRW unit and an old HD 500GB. The PSUs fan stopped working 3 weeks ago and I didnt notice this. While playing games the computer shut down, and I quickly opened the case. The PSU was hot and I could smell burned plastic. A week after I randomly tried to start the computer and guess what!? IT WORKS! Then I realised that only the fan was broken. I took the PSU and fan appart and lubricated the fan. It spins like a charm but I think I lost a piece of it and now its loud as hell but it works. I thougt this story might have something to do with the issue.
THE ISSUE: My internet has been working like a charm untill a week ago. A week ago the LAN or wired connection stopped working. I had to disable LAN adapter in BIOS else it would try to connect forever and I couldnt disable it in Windows. I didnt bother to solve it since my motherboard has a Wireless adaptor, so I just connected wirelessly. Today the wireless stopped working. I figured out that I might have goten a virus? I formated the disk and reinstalled WIN7 x64. I install the drivers, and the wireless and LAN still dont work. I reinstall WIN7 once again. Still nothing. I remember that I have to set the IP adress myself. So I go to Wireless adptor - preferences - IPV4 - type the stuff in, and when trying to close the window it freezes. After closing it in task manager a message "An unexpected error has occured" appears. I have to close Explorer.exe too and then after 2 attempts I get to close the window and save normally, but still no connection.
I have a E525 running Vista home basic that used to connect to the internet but now wont anymore for some reason. When I go to local area connection it says[CODE]
My Dlink DCS-930 camera won't work over 3G. It works fine on my home WiFi network. When on 3G it shows the camera, click it, tries to connect but just keep saying connection timeout.
It used to work over 3G fine, nothing has changed to my network. I've rebooted the camera and router numerous times, it has the latest firmware, but still won't work. I'm logged into my dlink account fine. I have an Apple Time Capsule.
I have two laptops that work great with the router we have on my desktop. My tablet, however, will not connect. It does connect at my local office, where I'm using the exact same router.
i have purchased a 2.2 android tablet everything works fine apart from internet access tablet scans finds my sky router tap on connect enter password which i have double checked starts to connect then says disconnected and disabled is this a security issue with the router or conflict with the tablet desktop connects great and also wii.
I have a Motorola Xoom 4.0 I try to connect the internet when I go to MacDonald or Starbucks or even to the church I go to but is impossible. The only way I get connection is in my house with my router.
My laptop, printer, and iPhone connect to the internet via this router, but my new Polaroid tablet will not. The tablet locates the secure network connection and I enter the password. Rather than connecting, a loop of the following messages display - "Obtaining IP address..." "Remembered secured with WEP." The first suggestion from support was to check that the firmware for the router is up-to-date.
