My entire floor receives wifi from a D-Link router box. For the first 4 months, my laptop was able to find and connect to our wifi fine. Last night the internet crashed. All of my German housemates have internet again, but my laptop does not show the network anymore. My wireless card picks up all the other signals in range, but not our router's. I can only get internet with an ethernet cable.
View 1 RepliesI have a linksys E3200. Today I got disconnected and when it reconnected it stated that the network was changed to just network and not my usual network name. I was having connection issues with the network disconnecting me and reconnecting me. I uninstalled the cisco connect software. I contacted support who told me to restart the router and modem, which I did. After reset I tried to reinstall the software. Cisco Connect likes to insist to do the installation wirelessly but my laptop can't find the router during installation to complete it. My router is essentially a glorified wire connecting my computer to my modem now.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my work laptop connecting to my home network. It will connect to the internet but only briefly and then the connection is dropped. I reset or repair the connection and I can get it to re-connect but then it drops again after only a minute or two. I tried to connect it to the router directly with a cable (turned wireless off) and had the same issue. This laptop has no issues connecting wirelessly at work or to other wi-fi networks I have tried. I have another laptop in the house that has no issues connecting to the home network & internet. The issue seems only to be with this laptop at home. The laptop is a Dell using 64 bit Vista. The router is a D-link DI-524, 802.11g router and I have a DSL connection.

I have had my Acer windows vista laptop for about 3 years but it has only been this past year it has stopped connecting to the internet, which means i have to use a cable to access the internet, but im pretty sure its not the ruter because my brothers laptop connects fine, and his is a very old laptop!

I have a laptop that I want to sell, therefore I went to somebody to see my laptop and wanted to connect to his wifi. After repeatedly entering the pass for the wifi ,the wifi was still not connecting.
1. My laptop will see his wifi but after entering the pass will not connect
2. The pass is correct because I introduced the same pass on my mobile and I was able to connect to his wifi through my mobile
3 My laptop wifi is working fine because when I went home it connects automatically on my home wifi
4. I tried to open and close his router but I faced same problem.
The wireless Internet at home is not working on my laptop anymore. It's working fine on my mobile as well as with other wireless networks at school for example. No matter what browser I use I usually dont get to any website. Most of the time it says access: local only, or local and internet, or limited connectivity. If I'm lucky at the right time I can open a website but then it's gone again.

I have used the dongle many times on this laptop without issue and the dongle still works on my other laptop fine. So my friend could find the network name and i gave him the password, but it never works. Another friend of mine also came with an older iBook laptop and the same thing happens.

It replaced and old Dlink 150 that I have used for a number of years.I connected 2 PC's direct to the router and bought 2 dongles and connected two remote PC's onto it (4 total). They are not all on at the same time - usually. The laptop is a gateway vintage 2004 and has XP on it. It is updated I use it everywhere wireless and not. It works wireless ok everywhere, even McDonalds. When I connect it to the home 601 it connects and connects, etc etc. and never does. I am using WEP and have a security key. I see the network on the network list and click. It does not give me an option to enter the security key and does not give me an error and defaults to "Free Public Wifi" (I think this is the internal card). I am sure the security key is the issue and cannot figure out where to enter it. I haven't looked in the registery but that is a spooky place in which to play and I avoid it. Don't want to run into the Blue Screen Boogy man. I did however do a search of the registry for the network name and came up empty. No surprise. Where do I go to find and update the security key to access the router?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Dlink DCS-930 camera won't work over 3G. It works fine on my home WiFi network. When on 3G it shows the camera, click it, tries to connect but just keep saying connection timeout.
It used to work over 3G fine, nothing has changed to my network. I've rebooted the camera and router numerous times, it has the latest firmware, but still won't work. I'm logged into my dlink account fine. I have an Apple Time Capsule.
I've tried changing the settings on my DLink wireless router, resetting it and my cable modem (by unplugging them and plugging them in again), and even restoring my iPod, but I cannot find my home wireless network! Both my iPod and my PC can find other networks, but not my own.My network is WPA-2 only, which my iPod should be able to see. The cipher type is TKIP. My wireless channel is 2.437GHz (channel 6, I can't change it). I even tried resetting my network settings on my ipod, with no luck.My router is a DLink DIR 615 wireless router and my computer is a PC that runs Windows 7. Our wireless laptop shows that there is a connection to our wireless network but will not bring up a web page. Im using a laptop with windows 7 Home Premium 64bits
My network adapters are:
Intel Centrino Ultimate - N6300 AGN
Intel 82577LC Gigabit Network Connection
Im able to ping my server just fine, left only one of these microsoft 6to4 adapters, tried turning off my AVG and Firewall, sharing devices and printers is enabled, Netbios is enabled.
Oh, and my antivirus is AVG free.
