Apr 25, 2009So I just got this new WRT160Nv2 router. I have (1) wired computer and then my laptop running wireless to it. For the first couple days I had some issues getting consistant internet but after reading some stuff on here I downgraded to the version 8 hardware and it worked GREAT for about 3 days. Now my power light won't stop flashing and I have NO internet connection at all through the router. I have tried to reset the router by holding down the button and also unpluging it but still nothing.

Mar 4, 2012I have a cisco E3000 with firmware version 1.0.04. I enabled the Local Management Access with HTTPS. If I connect to the HTTPS management interface, I can see that the date of validation of the HTTPS certificate is valid.If I disconnect completly my router (disconnect the power supply), it seems that the HTTPS certificate is regenerated for the boot. The problem is that it is regenerated with a validation date from 01/01/1970 to 01/01/1971. I guess that the certificate is generated before the router is able to automatically set its own time.

Nov 25, 2011i have an e3000 linksys cisco router. i havent had any problems before until i tried adding a new computer via cat5e ethernet cable. The first computer always is connected fine whether i unplug the router or modem in any order and replug. i dont know much how to fix this. ive tried some unplugging method once but it only worked until i turned the computer off and back on later. i am also running 2 xboxs with no trouble. i used cisco connect to diagnose problem but it just told me to unplug modem power and tv cable and i did that with no luck.although i have good equipment, the internet is pretty slow.i have the best service of my provider that states it has upto 50 mpbs download speed.i ran the cisco internet speed test and only got a max of 20 download and 5 upload.how could i speed this up?

Jul 31, 2011So, I messed around with my router a little too much and just want to restore it back to the original firmware now. I have a WRT54GS v7 Linksys router and tried to follow this guide to flash the firmware to something a little more useful. After step 7 of that guide, I can't ping my router, can't access the GUI, and have no idea what my router's IP is. If I assign each computer plugged into the router an IP like 192.168.1.2 I can ping them, so the router is still functioning somewhat. I'm plugged into my modem right now to get on the Internet.
Right now, my power light is off, my DMZ light is off, my WLAN light is off, but the other lights turn on if I plug a cord into its port (plug a computer into port 1, port 1's light comes on). When I do an ipconfig /all i get this. I doubt the web interface still works, but if I could at least get the router's IP, couldn't I use tftp and put the firmware on that way?

Aug 9, 2011We have a Cisco SRP 527W router that was not showing up on the LAN. so we tried a Factory Default reset but it seems to be dead.
The power light is flashing constantly,the 4 LAN light are constantly on,the DSL Data light comes on for 1 sec when device is powered up.
i have tried connecting directly to a PC, the NIC reports as network cable unplugged.i have tried the (power on device, hold down reset button, power of after 30 sec, power on after 5 sec, release reset button after 5 sec) but still "network cable unplugged".
the firmware flash utility will not find the NIC the device is connected to.the router is less than a year old, is there a fix or is it a warranty replacement ?
Cisco Switches :: SG 200-08 All LED Lights Flashing Green After Power Failure
May 5, 2012Thinking back, about a month ago I updated the firmware (I can't check version at the moment). The switch has been working fine since then. Today I needed to move some power cables and the switch lost power. Now ALL of the LED lights are flashing green and I can't access the switch. I've tried setting a static IP on my laptop to 192.168.1.20, mask 255.255.255.0, and accessing the switch on 192.168.1.254, but there's no response. I've tried holding in the reset button for at least 30 seconds while the switch is powered on, AND while powering it on. None of that has worked. Also when I first power it on, the system LED flashes orange very quickly for a second or so, then all of the LEDS start flashing green.

The power indicator light is on but the green and yellow lights on the Internet port are not flashing and the modem the EA4500 is connected to show no activity on that port. Also, the EA4500 is not broadcasting so I can't even connect to it to use Cisco Connect to troubleshoot. I tried resetting it but it did nothing. This has happened before but is usally fixed with a reset.

I have hard reset the e3000, changed firmware from the Linksys to TomatoUSB and back to Linksys, and I still can't get it to work. It worked fine on Saturday until a bolt of lightning hit close to the house. Since then, I cannot get the e3000 to connect to the ISP.

And it's not just the internet, I have a media server connected to it, and usually when I put something on it, the transfer rate is about 3.5MB/s (not bits, bytes). But everything is slow, I top out at speed of maybe 1/6 normal on the internet as well.

I used the e3000 router when we lived in town with broadband internet and it worked fine. I can't get it to keep a hold of a signal. I can connect to the router from the computers but the router drops the signal from the tower. I have an old router that the wireless company was kind enough to lend me that works , but the signal is weak and it could die at any moment... I"m at my wits end.. Apr 19, 2010Has anyone tested QoS on the new E3000? Whenever I add an application (e.g. Voice Device) and set priority to Medium or High, my upstream bandwidth for everything else is immediately cut significantly, even when I'm not using the priority application.
For example, with QoS disabled, I can consistently get 10Mb upstream (speedtest.comcast.net). As soon as I enable QoS, upstream is capped to exactly 2Mb! On my old router, there was an option to set the total upstream bandwidth -- but on the E3000 there is no such option that I can find.

Feb 25, 2011I have FiOS and their supplied wireless router Actiontec #MI424WR. I have home theater equipment that uses the newer N signal so I purchased a Linksys E3000 Wireless-N Router. I have one of the LAN outputs on the Actiontec feeding the Linksys input and Wi-Fi turned off on the Actiontec. This is working good for my wireless home theater equipment but I am having problems with my wired speed. It has gone from averaging anywhere from 20 to 30 mbps on numerous test sites when plugged into the Actiontec to averaging around 10 mbps when plugged into the Linksys.
1) Is my wireless N speed going to top out at 10mbps or less since that is all the router is showing on wired? Shouldn�t N be broadcasting a faster speed if given the ability?
2) I have my computer currently plugged directly into the Linksys verses the Actiontec. This makes it easier to program the Linksys router. Since I am no longer using the wireless part of the Actiontec there really is no need to be plugged into it. Is there anything I can do get the speed higher on the Linksys, a setting I can change? Will I have to plug the computer back into the Actiontec to get the higher speed and then move it every time I may need to make a change to the Linksys?
