I need to put a few cameras, without a server, on a static WAN ip address. Do I just assign them a static LAN ip address(for example 192.168.1.200), make sure the port they use is open, then type the WAN static ip address then colon and the last address? Object NAT is configured as follows:
object network Obj-192.168.1.20-1
nat (dmz,outside) static Obj-External-1 service tcp https https
object network Onj-192.168.1.20-2
nat (dmz,outside) static Obj-External-2 service tcp 2000 https
Obj-192.168.1.20-1 and Obj-192.168.1.20-2 contain the same host address.
The idea being that traffic destined for Obj-External-1 on port 443 will be forwarded to Obj-192.168.1.20-1 on port 443. Traffic for Obj-External-2 on port 443 will be forwarded to Obj-192.168.20-2 on port 2000.
Traffic for the first object, Obj-192.168.1.20-1, works but traffic for the second does not.
I have a situation where a user needs more than one office extend AP in his home. My office extend controller is a 5508 running 7.0.220.0. Are there any issues NATing multiple OE APs to a single address? My initial lab results indicate that each of the AP's associate with the controller and establish a DTLS tunnel. I see the SSIDs get pushed to the AP and then it seems to restart the process never being fully operational. Is there a workaround that will allow me to run mutliple OE APs?

I have an older DELL power edge 2800. Currently we have 2 NIC's one for the WAN one for the LAN. I wish to increase my users access speed. Can I team and or bond up to Four NIC's on the LAN side and leave the single NIC for the WAN? I am having trouble finding any info on the net for pulling this off. I have buildings geographically dispersed that are configured with multiple vlans in interface groups so that I can maintain an addressing scheme of dhcp assigned addresses per building. Each building is also further grouped as AP groups. I'd like to know if by assigning the same wlan ssid to each of the AP groups, will I maintain addressing integrity for each building? I'm thinking it will work.
Do the buildings have to be outside AP range of each other to avoid problems?

some of the servers are not pinging from one switch but they are pingable from other redundant distribution switch. So I took the IP addresses from the redundant switch, with that I found MAC addresses from the access switch.But when I tried to see to which ports these MAC are addresses are connected to, multiple MAC addresses are resolving to the same switchport. like 5 MAC's are showing to 1 port and other 3 MAC's are showing to other port, like this there are many. All these MAC's belong to virtual servers.

Once the computer turned on i want the option of which login for the current computer to use, it can login it current computer or the mutiples computer with their content/data all inside. So more like an computer linked. Example, it can only to A or B, A is the current computer data, while B have all the data of the different computer monitor datas, and if i login B it will show that current computer info. And same goes to the B computer, i can login to A or B on the B computer. What makes this very good is that, both the computer logins are sort of connected, for example if im on actual computer A, but logined to computer B and downloaded/changed some files/data on the B login, once i login on computer B to login B, the changes will apply even tho the changes are done in computer A.

It's connecting to a UK ADSL2+ link.I'm a penetration tester and I want to put the Cisco router in front of my existing firewall which has an IPS on it, so that it doesn't get in the way of port scans and vulnerability scans. My ISP has issued me with 14 usable addresses a/240 subnet and basically I want to be able to use the route with just the public IP addresses. I have configured Cisco routers before, but never with this type of configuration. It's always been single public IP address NAT'd through to one or two internal LAN's.
It will be nice if I could assign the wireless and fast ethernet ports to the same VLAN using the public addresses. I don't want to use DHCP I'm quite happy statically assigning IP addresses to the computers wireless and LAN interfaces. I am reasonably certain this is possible because not sure how to do it and a little busy at the moment carrying out penetration tests.
I have just installed an SRP 527w and it's basic operation is working fine. However, the ISP has allocated (and set up routing for) a range of 16 additional static addresses to the link that I now wish to configure and use, but I am having problems. The reason for two lines was so each one would have its own bandwidth, thereby supporting more simultaneous users. They all share the same external interface, and in the interest of saving addresses I'm wondering if the standby address for each context is really necessary. I know that in active/passive the standby address is what allows the two to communicate and monitor that particular interface, however, in active/active I don't see the point as the context is either going to be on one or the other.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently have my EA6500 behind verizon fios router. I have 5 static IP addresses assigned to FIOS router, however the machines I want to connect to are behing EA6500. It's a dual NAT scenario:
Public IP - FIOS Router - 192.168.1.0/24 network - EA6500 - 192.168.2.0/24 network
What I would like to do is for each public IP address, I would like to forward traffic to a particular host on 192.168.2.0 network. I can easily configure FIOS router for static NAT and assign one internal IP (from 192.168.1.0 range) for each public IP. However, I don't see a way to assign multiple IPs from 192.168.1.0 network to EA6500 internet interface.
I don't want to use EA6500 as a bridge as it will pretty much reduce my EA6500 to a very expensive GigE switch.
Is this possible? Or should I replace it with something more useful like a business router? This is for my home so I would like to avoid buying an expensive business router.
If there are any small business routers that offer one-to-one NAT? I have several public IP addresses assigned to me by CenturyLink. I have two servers that provide email and web hosting for two different domains. I want to put the client machines on one VLAN (VLAN Z) and assign it a public IP address (to keep server traffic separate). I want to put each server on its own VLAN (VLANs X & Y) and assign each server its own public IP address. I need the router to be able to provide a firewall and port forwarding for each VLAN. I also need to be able to route traffic between VLANs so the clients on VLAN Z can access their email and the websites on VLANs X and Y. I also need to be able to route DNS traffic between VLANs so each server can provide name resolution for their respective domains.
So, is this possible with a small business router or do I need to look at something different? I'm fairly certain this configuration is not possible with my current Cisco RVS4000. What it boils down to is I need a router that is capable of having multiple public IP addresses on the same interface and to forward those public addresses to private VLAN subnets. This would be one-to-one NAT if I understand it correctly..
We have just setup a new RV042G firewall. The customer has multiple public IP addresses and we need to allow RDP access for at least 2 of the Public IP addresses. I only see a way to open ports for the one IP assisgned to the WAN. I temporarily did a one to one NAT for the second public IP to NAT to the private IP but that pretty much opens everything which is not ideal from a security standpoint. How can we setup multiple IP addresses on this firewall?

View 9 Replies View RelatedToday I was having a conversation with my Cisco Academy teacher from a few years back, and we couldn't figure this out.I am getting an internet connection via Verizon FiOS. Instead of giving me an ISR, they're going to just give me an ethernet cable. Here's what I want to do with it.
This cable is going to be plugged into a 1900 series router. Connect to that will be a 48 port switch. Connected to that will be multiple servers to be used for web hosting, email, databases, etc. My ISP is providing me with 13 public addresses, however, it is not my own unique subnet.
Here comes the question; how would I set this up? The way I was originally thinking was to assign one IP to fa0/0, a second to fa0/1, and then assign the fa0/1 address as the default gateways for all the hosts on the inside. But then I realized that it won't let me have the same network on 2 ports.
We are in the process of installing time clocks at some of our sites around the USA. Our security department has asked that the time clocks be completely isolated from the rest of the network. The time clocks will be administered by ADP via a centralized firewall utilizing NAT. We have multiple subnets available at each site. Let me give an example to calrify what I would like to do. Example: Site A has 10.168.19.0 /24 user subnet and is configured for VLAN1 using 10.168.19.1 on the router as the default gateway. I would like to use subnet 10.168.20.0 /24 for the time clocks, configure it for VLAN2 and use 10.168.20.1 as the router gateway address for VLAN2. This should allow me to NAT one of our additional public IP addresses to the 10.168.20.1 gateway address thus completely isolating the time clocks from the remainder of the network. Problem is I have not done this before so I'm a little confused about how to configure it in the Cisco 3750 switches.

View 6 Replies View Relatedsetting up a simple internet plan for a place, but a LAN center needs crazy fast internet, faster than most large enterprise class offices that take up an entire floor or two. Otherwise there is too much lag in games like first person shooters. We are expecting to have 60 computers, plus people bringing their own gaming rigs from home and laptops as well, xbox, ps3 and other consoles, all accessing the internet at the same time to varying degrees, with no room for lag. There is a LAN center in california that has 200 or more computers and they pay for 9 t3 lines, which is thousands and thousands of dollars per month. Plus the initial equipment to set that up from what I can find on cdw is many thousands of dollars also. Something like 10,000 for a router with 4 expansion bays, and 4000-6000 dollars for a t3 expansion card, bringing the total to around 22-28,000 for equipment to do just 4 t3's. Plus the monthly cost. Since we don't need all of the traffic to be secured like a high end business class line like a t3, I was considering what it would be like, and how one would set up, having multiple cable internet lines coming in. They make cable wic cards for cisco routers. 4, 50meg cable lines would give us 200 down and 40 up but I don't know how to make that work without having multiple public ip's. I was thinking that if I did have multiple public ip's on the network I could just divide the computers up so that they are in groups, using all of the public ip addresses for gateways, so that the load is split pretty evenly, but still, there should be a more seamless way to do this, I just don't know what it is. At the rate for business cable internet, 4 lines would probably only cost around 700 dollars a month, which is much better than probably 5 grand a month for several t3 lines.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe having ACS version 5.2 0.26 with Active/Standby. We need to integrate active directory with ACS. Domain name given by Server team was as xyzcompy.local. When I tried to resolve the same domain name I got five servers ip address against the same domain name. however we given the ip reachability to only for two servers. We we try to save we get error saying that "Can not resolve the network address".
So my questions are;
- does ACS should have ip reachaibility to all five servers
- does the username/password we entered in the ACS should have domain admin rights?.
- the given AD is configured with windows NTP [URL] but when we configured ACS as windows NTP it was taking local server as active NTP..?
When we check the ACS logs, we saw the following error;
