View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed a new ASUS PCE-N13 network adapter. My problem is this: The network adapter easily detects my wireless router (full strength) so I click connect and it asks me for my p/w. I type the p/w in and my computer instantly tells me it is wrong. I know full well the p/w is right because I live with 2 other people and they both have laptops which connect no problem.

It also shows an exclamation over my connection bars. How can i fix this? This all started when I was trying to access my router from a new laptop. I could not remember my security key. I reset and erased what I had stored. Have made a new but still no internet access.

I was able to connect using Gnome Epiphay Web Browser v 3.4.1 and found no problems on the WRT610N router.So-o-o Cisco, what do you recommend I do, seeing as how there is no later firmware to apply and nothing to configure that I can see.
Was online the other night when my network suddenly dropped out on me. I assumed it was the router, not my computer, so I restarted it and got nothing. Same with my modem. Then I completely reset the router and, obviously, lost the network I had set up. Didn't realize until today, when I downloaded the setup instructions and reinstalled the router with a new network that the problem might actually be with my computer. I can use the ethernet port to access the web both with the direct line from the modem and when using a line through my router, I just can't get my computer to work on the network I set up. I know the network is valid because it works with my smart phone and a couple of other devices. On my Mac, it shows up in the list of available networks and has full signal strength. Diagnostics in network preferences gives me the following message: "AirPort has a self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the Internet."

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Netgear Router WNR 2000 v3 and installed it. I got inside the router and could set up a Network Name and security key. However, I can not access the internet when I chose a security password using WPA 2, WPA-PSK + WPA 2 PSK, or WPA/WPA 2. It only accesses the internet when I chose None.( no secured ).At this time, my network is unsecured because there isn't way I can access the internet when I create a security key using the 3 options the router offers.
Note : I have tried the 3 security options creating a key number and my computer connect to the wireless network but don't access the internet. It only access the internet when I select None ( no secured )
I just configured cisco 2600 as TS for remote dial in via USRobotics modem, I can dial into router, but its not accepting my key board input.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two WAP4410N. One of he accesspoints is connected to our wired LAN, called by now AP1. The other accesspoint is connected to the first accesspoint by WDS (Client mode) called now by AP2. I have upgraded both accesspoints to firmware 2.0.4.2. Both accesspoints are set to the same SSID and channel (6) and are set to mixed mode (B/G/N). After I two weeks they started to fail. When I connect to AP1 I don't reveive an IP-address of our DHCP server from our LAN. I'm able to connect to AP1 from our LAN. When I SSH to the box and I do an dmesg command, I see the following messages:
ath_bstuck_tasklet: stuck beacon; resetting (bmiss count 36)
ath_bstuck_tasklet: stuck beacon; resetting (bmiss count 36)
ath_bstuck_tasklet: stuck beacon; resetting (bmiss count 36)
[Code].....
I'm still testing these devices and I hope I can use these devices in our production environment, which is not possible with these errors and outages.
I can't connect to AP2 right now. I think the whole wireless interface isn't working anymore, unless I power off/power on the box. But it's hard testing when it works ok for two weeks and then stops.
My router had two problems I was able to fix one after applying the firmware update I found on this site. That was concerned with dropping network connections. I'm left with the router not recognizing devices I plug into the USB port. Plug N Play doesn't give a sound, My Computer doesn't show it and I dont see it in Device manager. I tried connecting A Seagate harddrive and a Scandisk FOB.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got one of these and it works pretty good except I can't get it to take more than a 32 character WPA2 PSK. Tried using Firefox and IE and it doesn't make a difference. This is for my house. I'm retiring an old Cisco 1200 series AP and as well as a Cisco 1130. Using the same PSK and it doesn't work. Even if I just put 32 characters and just try typing more characters, it doesn't accept any more.Running 1.0.0.3 code and don't see anything newer or any firmware for it for that matter.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 5x WAP4410N Cisco access points, the wireless is not responding to join request from wireless clients and i can only access the admin page from the LAN side.
reboot does not work the only way to make it accept join requests is by changing parameters in the AP and save it, it will work for few hours then stops again.
I cant seem to be able to open a TAC case.
