May 16, 2012I just configured cisco 2600 as TS for remote dial in via USRobotics modem, I can dial into router, but its not accepting my key board input.

Cisco :: PIX 501 Firewall Does Not Accept Keyboard Input Over Serial
Jan 14, 2013I am trying to connect to a PIX 501 firewall via serial connection. My problem is that I cannot issue commands to the firewall. Whenever I try to type something into the terminal, nothing happens. I have the connection settings configured properly (9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, no flow control) and have tried PuTTY and HyperTerminal and have the same results. I get output from the firewall, but my keystrokes do not seem to be going to it.

I'm left with the router not recognizing devices I plug into the USB port. Plug N Play doesn't give a sound, My Computer doesn't show it and I dont see it in Device manager. I tried connecting A Seagate harddrive and a Scandisk FOB.

Jan 18, 2010I want to redirect internal web traffic (browsing) to an external web server for Web, Virus and Spyware filtering. Those externals proxies are running in 8080 port. I have one ASA firewall and a Cisco 2600 router. I was thinking in doing PBR in the router but in the next hop I can only set one IP, not an IP and a port. So how can I redirect web traffic to an external proxy listening in 8080 port?

They replaced the Bluetooth adapter, and I got a new keyboard, but I still have the same problem. I've moved the router as far from the computer as possible (but it's not that far). Since the E3000 is dual band, I'm wondering if the 2.4 GHz channel is interfering? My friend has a Bluetooth keyboard and a wireless router on his system, and he never has connection issues.

Jul 22, 2011Was online the other night when my network suddenly dropped out on me. I assumed it was the router, not my computer, so I restarted it and got nothing. Same with my modem. Then I completely reset the router and, obviously, lost the network I had set up. Didn't realize until today, when I downloaded the setup instructions and reinstalled the router with a new network that the problem might actually be with my computer. I can use the ethernet port to access the web both with the direct line from the modem and when using a line through my router, I just can't get my computer to work on the network I set up. I know the network is valid because it works with my smart phone and a couple of other devices. On my Mac, it shows up in the list of available networks and has full signal strength. Diagnostics in network preferences gives me the following message: "AirPort has a self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the Internet."

I have also connected all my other ethernet devices to the router so I don't have to keep unplugging them and replacing the ethernet cable in the wall socket. I can connect to the internet through the router but it's only allowing one device to be connected at once and the router is saying "no connection" even though I can connect through it. does this mean it's working as a switch at the moment, right? KVM hooked up. Compaq keyboard works very poorly with eMachine. Compaq mouse doesn't work at all with eMachine -freezes center of screen. Switch to wireless mouse, works fine with eMachine, but then have ot use Compaq mouse if I switch to Compaq PCU. Is there a universal keyboard and mouse that would fix this?
