i want to use a wireless router to hook-up my HD-TV to use it as a monitor. at the same time that my son can play his PS3.Do i need an extra keyboard to use on my HD-TV?
View 1 RepliesI have got 3 wifi routers i want to daisy chain. Router 1 is main modem router, which is connected to 2 pcs and 2 wif routers (wired separately), both of these wifi routers have there own ip address and dchp turned off, so they work fine and broadcast wifi nicely. now what i want to do is connect another wifi router to one of these routers (not the main one) but what setting do i need? i tried to connect the 3rd wifi router with the same setting as per the other two ie diff ip and dchp off, but when i plugged it into the port of the second router it would not show as connected or get an internet connection. Its probably quite simple to sort out, but with me being a dimwit i am tering my air out. If i could not use a wifi router for this 3rd connection, is there any other way of putting an extra 4 ports on to my second stage router.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a RV042 with a DSL (static IP) and a cable connection (Dynamic). How do I get the extra bandwidth from the cable and still keep the static IP of the DSL. When I have the router set on WAN1 (DSL), I get buffering. When I set the router on WAN2, I lose the static IP and therefore, the stream. When I have the router set on Load Balance, it switches the IP back and forth between the static DSL and the Dynamic cable.

When I use RDP to connect to another computer, I noticed that on the remote computer (sometimes) as well as on my local machine (always), it creates a "Z:" drive. It isn't like a mapped network drive though, it shows under Hard Disk Drives. The free space is the same as the C: drive. When you open it, it is the %TEMP% folder on my machine. Going to the run command and typing %TEMP% will show you the same contents as the Z: drive. When I close the RD Connection, the Z drive goes away. I have no clue what is causing this and I did a little searching and couldn't find anything that resembled anything close to this online. I saw the same thing happen on a Win XP machine earlier as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOld Compaq Presario 3000+ getting sluggish, freezing has Compac mouse and keyboard. So brother gave me not as old eMachine. Thought I'd use KVM and play music, etc from old Compaq. KVM hooked up. Compaq keyboard works very poorly with eMachine. Compaq mouse doesn't work at all with eMachine -freezes center of screen. Switch to wireless mouse, works fine with eMachine, but then have ot use Compaq mouse if I switch to Compaq PCU. Is there a universal keyboard and mouse that would fix this?

Therefore we cannot increase the MTU to support the extra four-bytes of VLAN tag. We have tried 15.2 and 15.1 code. May be the command is different. Whenever I try to type something into the terminal, nothing happens. I have the connection settings configured properly (9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, no flow control) and have tried PuTTY and HyperTerminal and have the same results. I get output from the firewall, but my keystrokes do not seem to be going to it.

They replaced the Bluetooth adapter, and I got a new keyboard, but I still have the same problem. I've moved the router as far from the computer as possible (but it's not that far). Since the E3000 is dual band, I'm wondering if the 2.4 GHz channel is interfering? My friend has a Bluetooth keyboard and a wireless router on his system, and he never has connection issues.

They both have the same network name (e.g. the wifi network is named 'apple', and when i connect through ethernet in my room the name is also 'apple') I need to have wifi in my room. I recently acquired a Latitude E6510 with Windows 7 Pro 64bit. My Dell DR984 Bluetooth KB/MS receiver works on my Latitude E6400 with win 7 32bit works but fails on the new notebook.
I have tried the Broad-com updater, but it fails with a message that Dell must be contacted. Where can I find drivers so that I can use the DR984 with my new notebook?
I want to setup an home network with a wireless router and use multiple switches for wired connections through out my home. I currently have an Airport extreme hooked up to a cable modem and a leviton gateway hooked up to the Airport. The 2 computers connected to the Leviton are on a windows 7 homegroup and share fine, but won't share or discover any wireless device connected to Airport. My main goal is to have a wireless/wired network with all computers sharing information with each other. I want 2-3 wired switches/gateways with a min of 2 devices connected to each, connected to my wireless router whiich is connected to cable modem.

For certain library software I need for all workstations to see each other. I have 25 workstations in total and two separate management consoles. I have all workstations on two switches but one of the management consoles is on the third switch because when joined with the others it has an ip conflict. I need this console for the digital sender that is connected as well as to act as a server for go print software.
