Jul 9, 2011I've hot connection issues with my wireless Mac keyboard for a while. I've brought the computer in to Apple to see if the problem lied there. They replaced the Bluetooth adapter, and I got a new keyboard, but I still have the same problem. I've moved the router as far from the computer as possible (but it's not that far). Since the E3000 is dual band, I'm wondering if the 2.4 GHz channel is interfering? My friend has a Bluetooth keyboard and a wireless router on his system, and he never has connection issues.

KVM hooked up. Compaq keyboard works very poorly with eMachine. Compaq mouse doesn't work at all with eMachine -freezes center of screen. Switch to wireless mouse, works fine with eMachine, but then have ot use Compaq mouse if I switch to Compaq PCU. Is there a universal keyboard and mouse that would fix this?

Whenever I try to type something into the terminal, nothing happens. I have the connection settings configured properly (9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, no flow control) and have tried PuTTY and HyperTerminal and have the same results. A few days ago my internet suddenly stopped working. I plugged in the ethernet cord and everything worked fine. Checking the properties in the device manager showed the device was working properly, I also tried resetting it to make sure it was enabled but it did not work.
Upon troubleshooting, the "Windows Network Diagnostic" said the problems was that the Wireless adapter was not turned on. Using the switch on the front of the laptop as well as the function keys does nothing. Usually a graphic pops up showing if the WiFi is on or off, changinging transparent to show the WiFi is disabled. Now when I turn the switch on it always appears transparent, effectively going from off to off
So I know the computer reads both the function keys and the switch on the front but both methods never actually turns the adapter on. I just finished a system restore and nothing has changed

Jun 12, 2012Today, while surfing the web my internet connection on my PC just randomly shuts off. I go check on my laptop and its normal. My WiFi says that I am connected to an Unidentified network with no internet access. So i got frustrated and checked all the forums and nothing seemed to work. So i restored my computer to factory settings and I still got this problem. Does this mean my Wifi Card is bad? Is it a virus? I can see other networks fine but i just cant connect to mine!

Apr 9, 2011Having the same problem with a Dell Inspiron Laptop using a belkin pcmcia wireless card. It was working, but has stopped doing so. I was missing some network adapters which I have reinstalled, and the hard wired connection is now working again, but wireless will not get past the acquiring network address phase. I tried the ipconfig /all and it shows my IP address as 0.0.0.0 and the same on the subnet mask. it says the autoconfig is enabled and dhcp is enabled. My HP laptop is connecting to the wireless network just fine.

Mar 3, 2008Last night, my wireless router suddenly stopped working. I no longer saw my router listed in my available wireless networks, and neither could my girlfriend from her computer. I unplugged the router to see if one of the available networks had disappeared in case my router had somehow been reset, and nothing changed so my computer isnt even seeing my router. Right now, I am wired through the router so I know the router works, but the wireless part doesnt for some reason. I was looking up stuff in the FAQ, and think the firmware is corrupted since the LEDs are all blinking. I was trying to update my firmware following the instructions I found using tftp.exe, however it failed. One problem is that I can't set up a static IP address since I need to access the web-based utility to check my DNS server but I cannot access the web-based utility anymore (maybe cause of the corrupted firmware?). On a related note, there is someone else in my building using a linksys with the default network name of linksys. I had changed my network's name and security-protected it, though that is all likely gone now since I tried to reset the router. My question is what will the network name of my router be if I saw it since "linksys" is already taken. or will there just be two of them?

Every site I've checked has said that 192.168.1.1 should be the IP used to put into the web address bar and be able to access the settings. Well, it does not work. "Cannot find server" is all I get. I used some suggestions that I found on this forum, and I tried pinging the number, and it times out 4 times. I even reset the router. Jun 27, 2011My computer is only one month old. I did a clean install of Windows 7 on it and a clean install of Ubuntu 11.04 (dual boot). With Ubuntu, the wireless works without issue. In Windows, the connection is fine through a cable, but wireless networks are not detected at all. Since I did a clean install, I had to install drivers manually. I got these from the Samsung website (my laptop is a Samsung Q430). I think that my Wireless card is Broadcom but I am not sure. The wireless did work at the start, but there were connectivity issues, and so I removed the wireless driver from the device manager and reinstalled the Broadcom drivers. Now I can't get any wireless at all in Windows.
I think I may be missing some drivers, but I'm not sure. I have the Broadcom Wireless Utility but I can't get it to do anything useful. Right now I'm connected through a cable. Here is the result of ipconfig[CODE]
