View 1 RepliesI recently acquired a Latitude E6510 with Windows 7 Pro 64bit. My Dell DR984 Bluetooth KB/MS receiver works on my Latitude E6400 with win 7 32bit works but fails on the new notebook.
I have tried the Broad-com updater, but it fails with a message that Dell must be contacted. Where can I find drivers so that I can use the DR984 with my new notebook?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to connect a Logitech Boombox to a Dell XPS M1210 running WinXP SP3 but discovered that the Dell Wireless 355 adapter is Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR. Any success pairing the Logitech Boombox device to their XPS M1210 and, if so, what steps did you take?
Alternatively, if there is another Bluetooth adapter that I can install internally in the M1210 that supports Bluetooth 2.1 or which is known to work with the Logitech Boombox?
The 355 adapter's software successfully finds the boombox but cannot connect. And if I try to pair the device, the 355 software insists on a security key, but I don't think the Logitech Boombox requires or has one. I have tried obvious candidates like "0000", "000", "00", "0" and "0001", etc., but I suspect that this is a dead-end path.
I installed the following software patches for the 355 adapter per the Dell drivers and downloads website:
Dell_Wireless-355-Bluetooth-_A01_R127314.exe and R159805.EXE.

I have a laptop - Inspiron 14R - and I'm having trouble getting my wireless key on the keyboard to work. How can I get it to toggle again. They replaced the Bluetooth adapter, and I got a new keyboard, but I still have the same problem. I've moved the router as far from the computer as possible (but it's not that far). Since the E3000 is dual band, I'm wondering if the 2.4 GHz channel is interfering? My friend has a Bluetooth keyboard and a wireless router on his system, and he never has connection issues.

I'm trying to configure an snmp notification reciever on WCS 7.0, so that critical alarms get reported to our central console. Following the configuration guide I was able to add the reciever as northbound, but after adding it I get an alarm saying that it is unreachable by WCS so all alarm notification will be suspended. I have tested snmp and ping connectivity between the WCS box and the notification reciever and it works ok, is there some other traffic that I might be missing?. I've seen some packets going from the WCS box to TCP port 7 on the reciever, which as far as I know is the echo service, is that what WCS uses to test connectivity?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOld Compaq Presario 3000+ getting sluggish, freezing has Compac mouse and keyboard. So brother gave me not as old eMachine. Thought I'd use KVM and play music, etc from old Compaq. KVM hooked up. Compaq keyboard works very poorly with eMachine. Compaq mouse doesn't work at all with eMachine -freezes center of screen. Switch to wireless mouse, works fine with eMachine, but then have ot use Compaq mouse if I switch to Compaq PCU. Is there a universal keyboard and mouse that would fix this?

Up until recently I was able to use my chip to connect a Sculpt Touch Bluetooth mouse, but as of late, I am not. When I place the mouse into discovery mode I am able to see the mouse, but when I try to connect to it I get an error that says, "That didn't work. Try again and make sure your mouse is discoverable." I know the Bluetooth chip is still working as I am able to control my iPhone from the computer. I have all the updates installed for my system, including the driver for the Bluetooth card.

Whenever I try to type something into the terminal, nothing happens. I have the connection settings configured properly (9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, no flow control) and have tried PuTTY and HyperTerminal and have the same results. I get output from the firewall, but my keystrokes do not seem to be going to it.
