Laptop Keyboard Dead / Can No Longer Activate It
Feb 23, 2013My laptop's keyboard just dead and I can't no longer activate it wifi.My laptop is Toshiba and it usually use fn+f8 key to activate, but since my keyboard got broken yesterday,I don't really know how to activate it.

Does it mean it doesn't come as standard and you have to upgrade it while choosing your components? I hope niot because it sounds a bit ridiciulous to have a top range model with core i7 and 1080p screen and no bluetooth which is as basic to me as wifi or speakers.

I tried replacing the keyboard but it did not work. Anyways, For some strange reason my wireless capability was turned off and now I have no way of turning it back on. I have searched many forums but have not found an answer.
Q: Is there any way to turn on the wireless capability i.e. using the function keys to turn on the wireless radio, WITHOUT actually using the function keys? i.e. using a command or something within the computer?

Aug 30, 2012I installed windows 7 onto my laptop and before i install when i would press a function key a symbol would appear on the screen. But now when i press the function key no symbol would appear on my laptop screen. i cant see how much my volume is up or down or either my brightness.

They replaced the Bluetooth adapter, and I got a new keyboard, but I still have the same problem. I've moved the router as far from the computer as possible (but it's not that far). Since the E3000 is dual band, I'm wondering if the 2.4 GHz channel is interfering? My friend has a Bluetooth keyboard and a wireless router on his system, and he never has connection issues.

May 16, 2011My mate bought a new laptop sony vpceb4joe which was full of crap software and programs so I advised him to reinstall window 7. The problem is i have now reinstalled at and I can't get the wireless LAN to work. I had to go onto the sony website to to find drivers for the ethernet connection which I found and got working but I cant get the wireless LAN to work.
I dont know what wireless LAN hardware is within the laptop is there a way of finding out what piece of hardware this is so I can install the wireless LAN?
Laptop Can't Find A Wireless Network
Oct 20, 2012last night I had reset my router, I may have factory reset it, but ever since then, nothing can connect, nor even find the wireless connection, other than the home computer that is directly wired to it. My laptop, my tablet, amd my xbox cannot connect. On my laptop, it cannot even find a connection available, even when I'm in the same room as the router. All it has are the no signal bars and the little "x". Everything was working fine before I reset the router. Now nothing can even find a connection! How can I get my connection back? my laptop is windows 7.

We also have a lexmark printer that is connected wireless as well. The Vista laptop has worked and prints fine with the lexmark. Now I have been trying to connect my new laptop to find the printer but when trying to add a new printer or even trying to add a new device windows 7 never finds the printer. I have installed the drivers from lexmark and have even enabled sharing on the printer properties from within the Vista laptop and still my win7 cannot find anything. The problem began about two days ago with the wireless connection getting dropped randomly (no signals found). The first few times it happened I ran Troubleshoot and it fixed itself, and picked the connection back up. Yesterday when it happened again the troubleshoot failed. I check my router connections, reset it a few times, checked my other computer's connections (all fine) then finally tried restarting the laptop. When it came back up it connected to the internet again. This has since happened three times, and each time I have to completely restart the laptop to get the wireless signal back.

I tried restarting my laptop, wireless adapter, and the printer, I also try restarting the spooler service but the attempt was not successful. Try unchecking SNMP and the printer is online but I can't print from it. So, I decided to uninstall the printer and reinstall it again. This is where another problem occurs. When I try reinstalling it, my laptop seems to be unable to find the printer (I have entered the IP address of my Printer but the printer still can't be found). Oh, and by the way, other laptop seems to be able to print a document from that printer.
