View 3 Replieswhy our PBX system would freeze up the phones. There is no real reason why this happens. We have the PBX on its own circuit board, so its not sharing any power, we only have about 200 phones on the system, so that is not the issues. Its properly cooled. It just seems to happen that our phones freeze, and when they start freezing it seems to happen in pairs.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy TP-Link WR1043ND router is constantly dropping my cable connection on a daily basis. The problem is that when it does, it also freezes or at least when I try to access it through its IP it won't show anything, but a classic 404 error page. If I reboot it by unplugging and plugging it back it works fine after that.

It suddenly stopped to collect logs. So, current acs version is 5.1.0.44.3 and all processes were running. During this time, ACS sent a couple of authentication reports in the monitoring system. But they can not be viewed through ACS Monitoring&Report system. The problem was solved by rebooting the server.
View 0 Replies View RelatedI have four 24-port BayStack switches connected to in a series, that have been freezing up over the past year (when I look at the front of the switches all connected ports are lit and and activity lights are not blinking but solid). I usually find the switches this way when someone at the church/school tell me that internet is down and the solution is to cycle the power on all switches. This has been happening more and more lately and I was wondering if anyone could, off the top of their head, possit a guess as to what is happening. Now these are configurable switches that I have not configured; I just bought them off of EBay and put them in line - they gave us years of trouble free service. My guess is that the switches are getting caught up in a loop and thus freezing them. My assumption is that the switches have STP running by default and maybe the STP stopped working. I have purchased 2 Cisco WS-C2948G-GE-TX to replace the BayStack switches, as our internet speed will be going over to Google Fibre in the next 2 months.

how do i find out either if someone is sending crap to the printer that freezes it, and if so which computer it is? probably need its driver reinstalled i'm thinking.
I am having the same exact problem with the random freezing. I used to be sponsored on Xbox 360 for call of duty black ops and my mom met this guy and i had to move into his house, So now i had to drop my sponsorship and everything because i randomly freeze for about 3 seconds and then unfreeze and i jump forward and catch up to what apparently i was doing but not doing on my screen. It even happens on world of warcraft on my computer and it is very aggravating to have to deal with. And just like Cassius is saying "the ping spikes ruin online gaming entirely and tbh."
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn a Microsoft xp network when we log off or shut down (randomly) users will have their computers lock or freeze at saving settings. The network is school district with around 1000 computers total.
-We think it is an issue with DNS or DHCP but we can not find anything only about our issue.
-It occurs randomly, but seems to target certain machines more. In a lab about 3 quarters of the computers are not affected and the other quarter will have it happen, but not every time. It will happen on student, teacher, and admin accounts.
-It has "spread" to 3 buildings now. At first it seemed to be an issues at one building but over the course of a week two new buildings are affected.
-No major changes in our network over the past month either.
I have Cisco 877 router it is losing connectivity almost after every one hour (freezing or hang) after reboot comes up back.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use the internet wirelessly via a Netgear JWAGR614 (I guess this is the Japanese-market version of the WAGR614), which works fine with my old laptop, a Toshiba Dynabook running Windows Vista. When I use it to connect with my new laptop, however (also a Dynabook, using Windows 7 32-bit), the connection to the router will freeze every few minutes. (It still claims to be connected, but no data seems to get through.) It will then come back after about 20 seconds, or faster if I disconnect and reconnect manually. The connection of my other PC is not affected during this time, it is still transferring data normally even while the new PC cannot.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently got a secure token to be able to connect to my desktop at work from home. The first couple of times I connected it worked well. Now when I try to connect it works for about 4 or 5 minutes then the remote session freezes up and the window won't update. Once it freezes I no longer can connect at all to my work PC until I physically go into the office and restart the computer. Our IT dept can't even connect to the work computer once that happens.
I'm trying to think of what could be causing this to happen when it worked fine the first couple of times. It could be a coincidence but the last couple of times this has happened I think I had just opened an IE web browser on the remote work pc but that could be unrelated and I don't see why that would affect it.The only thing that I can think of that has changed is on friday I got a juniper router and a Polycom IP phone so that I could use a work phone at home over my home network, however that should have any impact and the freeze up is happening remotely not at home.
Details:
I'm using a laptop at home running Windows 7 Ultimate
I connect to my work network using a web based ssl vpn web page logging in with an Aladdin Safeword token over IE9 using Juniper terminal services client software.
My home connection consists of a cable modem which has a wireless router plugged into it.Plugged into the ethernet port on the back of the router is a broadband-over-electric adapter that runs broadband over my electric current in the house. I then have a receiving adapter for that electric adapter running ethernet from the electric outlet into the Juniper router. The only thing plugged into the juniper router is the Polycom IP phone. My laptop connects wirelessly to the wireless router.
As you can see, with this setup the addition of the Juniper router/ip phone should have no impact on me connecting to my work network over the wireless connection so it is probably a coincidence. What could be causing the remote desktop session on my work machine to crash & stop accepting connections?
I'm having a problem with my WMP300N adapter. I upgraded my computer and ever since a have this frustrating experience that my PC keeps freezing, I mean completely freezes, nothing works. Before, I was already using Win7 (32-bit), so that can't be the problem. Now I went to a Win7 64-bit system, but that's not the problem either, because another PC in my house is also running on Win7 64-bit, with the exact same adapter and doesn't have any problem at all!
The only difference between the two PC's is in the motherboard. The PC that does not have problem has a motherboard with a P43 chipset and the PC with problems has the X58 chipset. My guess is that this can be the reason for the problem. So my question is:
Does anyway on this Forum has a motherboard with a X58 chipset and uses this (otherwise fine!) adapter WMP300Nv2

I am mostly interested in a router with a fast and stable wifi and high throughput which can manage a high amount of maximum simultaneous connections. The linksys e4200 seems perfect and very well reviewed.I am currently on adsl, no cable in area, so i would need one to have an adsl modem. Is there a version with a modem? Or will i need to look around for another?
I am mainly interested in throuput and the reviews and comparison sites sugest that linksys seems perfect midway between max simultaneous connections and price. Any comparison website that has adsl routers. The information am looking for on that's between £60 and £160 with high amount of ram, high throuput for Maximum Simultaneous Connections, similar to link text

After i bought the router it was working perfectly. But after using 1 week it freezes now and then. Happens around 10-30 times a day. The one or two led lights stops flashing and no device can connect to the router or asses internet. Another issue is that sometimes i cant connect any device through wifi (tried with android phone and ipod) and and but works perfectly on my pc. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a 2911 router hanging/freezing at random times, could work fine for a week then crash, or sometimes, could only go a few hours, completely random with timing. The onyl fix is to manually pull the power and reinsert. When this happens, all services/access stop working, including nothing on console access. This was on 15.2.1.T1 which im aware, has a few bugs, so i upgraded to 15.2.1.T2.The issue continued, so I swapped out the 2911 with a brand new one. The issue is still present.
One interesting thing, is when the router crashes/freezes, all lights appear to remain on working as usual, but when i unplug any of the ethernet links, the lights still continue to remain flashing and on for the ethernet LEDs, even once i have fully removed the cat6 cable.
We have a RV082 V03 being used as a gateway that was bought in mid 2011. The firmware version that came with it was v4.0.0.07. Up until we upgraded to firmware v4.2.1.02(Upgraded in Jan.2013), we would have to restart the router once every month due to loss of internet connectvity and it locking up. After I upgraded it to the 4.2.1.02, it gradually starting increasing from rebooting the router once a month, to once a week, then to multiple times a day. Today, I upgraded the firmware to the latest version being v4.2.2.08 and it has not froze up since the upgrade, but then again, it happens randomly through the day so it might not happen until tomorrow morning so we will see how this goes. During the time when it looses connectivity, I CANNOT get to the web gui or even ping the RV082 device. The lights on the RV082 are blinking like it is working though. This router is not even 2 years old yet and cannot believe that it would be dying already.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco 1921 to replace our current router which is constantly freezing. We have a couple inside servers, one is a web server and application server which needs to be RDP'd to by a couple of clients outside of our network. I cannot get this to work no matter what. I know it's not the server's setup as when I plug the network back into the old router, it works just fine.
All clients have access to the internet, and I can successfully ping/resolve hosts from both the router and a client computer connected. I cannot, however, rdp using neither our public IP, nor our hostname. The hostname does resolve to our ISP assigned IP, but the server cannot be contacted, leading me to belive this is a NAT issue. My little ASA 5505 is working great The device appears to be artificially crippled and limited to 10,000 connections. This isn't a "CPU limit" it's just some fake limit in the device as far as I can tell.
The problem we have is that we are only using around 500-600 connections and CPU usage is only like 25%, and yet the connection count is pegged at 10,000 and locks us out of our network.
I am pretty sure this is because there are a lot of "dead" TIME_WAIT connections hanging around not being used. In our application we only have the couple hundred connections but they do move around a bit every now and then.
Is there anyway to get the device to ignore the "dead" connections and not count them towards the artificial limit on the device given that it's pretty clear the CPU / etc., is not utilized sufficiently. These aren't real connections, we only have a couple 100 established, they do just move around a bit however.
We are really only using 500-700 connections according to our servers, the others are just sitting in TIME_WAIT doing nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOK I want to be able to play MMORPGS and other online games without any latency (or as little as possible). I have wireless 25mb internet in my house but the router is not in my room it is about 25 meters away in my parents room. I experience latency with my current set up while gaming online so I have decided to switch to wired. What is my best option for doing so? Running a wire through from the router to my room would be possible but I need to know if the length will effect performance and what type of Ethernet cable I would need (including estimated price). The other option is to move the router from that room to mine but im not familiar with how this would be done and what the costs would be
