Ive serched everywhere for this problem and couldnt find it, ive tried the basic troubleshooting, one of are users is using the 32 bit client of citrix and it is not lauching, other users have no issues with it, only her computer does. When I click to lauch the desktop it thinks a bit and then the receiver will shoot me an error saying :
"The network connection to your application was interrupted. Try to access your application later, or contact technical support." Her computer is running Windows 7 64 bit, IE8. Im really not sure what could be causing this error
I'll try to keep it short. On this Games For Windows Live game (Dawn Of War II) I can connect to and play on the internet just fine. Enabled port 3074 and 88 so that GFWL wouldn't have any problems connecting to my computer. Port 3074 has an issue however. With the PortForward testing program (Open Port Check - PortForward.com), whenever I check port 3074 outside the game, both UDP and TCP show green and are forwarded correctly. However when I'm in the game, alt-tab, and run the test again, it shows UDP red after testing, indicating it's not forwarded correctly.I think I know precisely what the problem is; either something in GFWL or the game itself is blocking port 3074. But why it's doing this, and how to find out what it is, I really have no idea.
I have a ASA 5520 with ASDM641. After I updated my JAVA to v7 update 5 , Build 1.7.0; I cannot launch the ASDM and get this Error: Unable to launch the application.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the ASDM to no avail.
I have been using a Cisco 877 router at home for more than a year and I've always been quite happy with it, but I've stumbled upon a very strange issue after an IOS update. I was using IOS 15.0(1)M until last week, when I decided to configure the router as a VIN server (both for PPTP and L2TP/IPSEC) in order to be able to connect to my home network from outside; then I realized that IOS has a nasty bug on PPTP VPNs (it just ignores the ppp encrypt mppe auto instruction), so I updated it to the latest 15.1 release I could find, 15.1(3)T1. Everything worked.
Until I launched E mule with some heavy download, and the connection dropped. And didn't come up again, even after a clear interface ATM 0: only rebooting the router solved the problem. Which, upon launching E mule again, again happened. The problem seems to be related to opening lots of connections at the same time; "simple" heavy load (like downloading a big file at full speed) doesn't do any harm to the line, and configuring E mule to use a smaller number of connections and opening it more slowly seems to mitigate the problem, which anyway keeps happening after a while.
The strangest thing is, this is definitely related to the IOS version. It didn't happen before the upgrade, and I confirmed it stops happening if I reload the previous IOS on the router. Out of curiosity, I also tested some other IOS releases: 15.1(1)T, 15.0(1)M5 and even 12.4(24)T5. It always happens, only 15.0(1)M seems to prevent it... but it also seems to hate VPN encryption. And let's not even start talking about 15.1(4)M: I tried it and I wasn't ever able to successfully authenticate a VPN connection. Of course, when tried different IOS releases, the router's configuration always stayed the same. Here is it (stripped of personal details):
no service pad service timestamps debug date time local time service timestamps log date time local time service password-encryption!host name [Code] ....
How can I fix this without reloading the buggy IOS I was using before? If you need any debug information, feel free to ask and I'll provide it. This is the current show version:

I have some iMacs that I manage for, in addition to my primary PC computers, such as my Toshiba Windows 7 laptop, which is what I am currently most concerned with. What I would like to do, is Remote Desktop Control (I'll abbreviate that as RDC) these mac computers through the network from my Windows PC. I am aware that this is possible with either Google Chrome, or by checking an OSX setting that will allow for VNC applications to connect, but I would prefer it if there was some way to RDC these iMacs from my Windows laptop without needing to change their settings or install software-something like how Mac-Mac RDC connections work, where I can just select a computer from the network, type a password, and go.
I have a desktop and a laptop. I can't get wireless or a wired connection to the router so I need to use my laptop to connect to the internet in the short term. I have connected to the computers using an ethernet cable. I can get to local fine but no internet.
I have attempted to bridge the two connection but when I click on resolve it says there is an IP conflict. I can't see where.
I have also tried ICS but it keeps saying there was an error when attempting to enable it although I did manage to allow it to connect at one point before it reverted back to not working it still wouldn't allow the desktop internet access. All services are running.

Don't know if in right place and not sure how to use this stuff i',m 61 and not real computer literate and don't type very well but i would like to know how to get 2 of my programs that are on my desktop and use on laptop but want to get on there with all the info in there so i don't have to retype it all again.
Share the internet from my laptop to my desktop. I see that others have posted on this subject before but I have been unsuccessful so far. Maybe one of you can point out what is wrong (my guess is its something simple).I have:
*connected the 2 PCs with a Ethernet cable *I can successfully share/transfer files between the 2 PCs *When I found out the internet wasn't sharing, I manually changed the setting of the network adapter (IPv4) with the right ip/subnet *I was unable to ping the two computer before I changed the settings of the network adapter.Even with being able to ping, the laptop still wouldn't let me share the internet. *I have put everything back (all settings) that I changed to kind of start new.My laptop runs Windows 8 and my desktop runs Windows 7. The setup:Desktop PC Win 7 home to Linksys router to ModemLaptop PC Win 7 home wifi to linksys router etcTwo external HDD, USB, (Mybook) connected to the Desktop.I've been able to use the setting to make a Home network, same workgroup name, basically set it up so that I can use the laptop to access the "libraries" on my desktop like the docs, photos, etc. Now, my plan was to be able to use that laptop to access the USB HDD connected to the desktop. I tried using the fhile sharing wizard, (right clicking and "include in library" and a link does appear. I try right clicking and "share with homegroup" in the libraries tree.I get an error: "The File Sharing Wizard can't share the root of a drive"With some research, I've set the HDD sharing on (checked the "share this folder" box) and under Security set it to "everyone".When I get to the laptop, I see the link to My Book in Homegroup. But there's nothing in it.
I'm having some trouble connecting to my computer remotely via my iPad.I have a fairly strict router so i installed and am running Hamachi as my network through which i connect to my server computer via another computer. I realized as I was writing this that the reason i could not connect to my server computer via the Hamachi address was because my ipad is not connected to the Hamchi network. When i try to connect via the ip address i get from whatsmyip.org i simply get an error. I have absolutely no idea where to go from here, and I would really like to have remote access to my server computer from my ipad.
I recently built a new desktop computer and installed it with Windows 7 since our old xp desktop had crashed. I am now trying to setup our wireless network similar to the way it was on the old xp desktop but cannot seem to figure out how to do it on windows. The basic setup would be:
verizon usb card (internet soure) ---> Desktop ---> ethernet cable to router ---> wirless access for laptops etc.
This was fairly easy on xp. All I had to do was enable ICS on the verizon card and then run the little network setup wizard on xp and boom the router was broadcasting internet.
Now unfortunately windows 7 doesn't have that little wizard and I simply cannot figure out how to create the same setup. I enabled ICS on the verizon card but can't seem to get internet access to the router after that.
I have been trying to share drives between my dekstop and laptop using a router. I have connected both PCs to the router and has made changes to the file sharing enability to both. However, when I changed the ip address to 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2 respectively, the one using the ip add 192.168.1.2 could not access internet. And if I set both to default networks, my laptop failed to see the shared drive.
I am unable to connect to my desktop's shared folders, and get the message "network path not found" when attempting to go into the desktop. The desktop is connected to the router wirelessly, a pace 2wire gateway, and wirelessly on the laptop. I can see it in the list of devices connected to the gateway, as well as the network folder. I am unable to ping my desktop from the laptop, but i can do so the other way around (desktop can ping my laptop). This is despite turning off windows firewall on the desktop. This started happening right when i got the SP2 upgrade for the desktop, it's a vista system.
Actually I've a WiFi enabled (Nokia) Mobile phone. I also have a internet enabled USB modem (HUAWEI) & a Netgear Wireless router.I am using internet with this USB modem in my desktop PC at home. But now I want to use internet in my mobile phone. So, I bring that wireless router.
I want to share my adsl connection that is in my laptop running xp 32bit sp2, to my desktop pc running win 7 64 bit sp1. I also have xp in another hdd in the desktop from which i have connected the laptop with firewire. But win7 does not allow firewire networking. I don't wanna buy any new hardware.
I have recently upgraded my router to a Belkin N750 DB and am having issues getting remote desktop connection working. Previously I had a Netgear router and it was working no problems at all.I have port forwarded (virtual server on Belkin) port 3389 TCP to the servers IP address.I can get Remote desktop connection to work when I am within my LAN by just typing the computers name. However when I try to connect via the IP address, as I would if I were away from home, then I get the message that says "remote desktop cannot connect for one of these reasons
1) remote access not enabled (it is because it worked before) 2) remote computer is turned off (no it isn't) 3) remote computer is no available" (yes it is cause can connect from LAN)
Turned off static IP for my server and let the router assign IP, and changed the IP address in the port forward, same, no connection.Double, triple checked my IP address, as this obviously changed when I plugged in the new router.Have updated to latest firmware for router and NIC.

I am facing some issue in LAN network.I have connected one desktop( win 7) and another desktop (win xp) to the TP link router. Both the computers got ip address and able to share the internet. But both the computers are not in the same network. That is they cant PING each other. hence they are not visible to each other.
We have built IPSEC VPN over MPLS P2P circuit between Head & Branch office using Cisco ASA 5510. Client systems at Branch office connects to Citrix app at Head office, but it gets disconnect intermittently for all user. if any recommendations/changes required for Citrix App whn passing over IPSEC VPN/ ASA.
A group of Citrix Clients connect to a Citrix Metaframe Server. The port numbers involved are Citrix Metaframe (TCP/UDP 1494) and MS Terminal Server (TCP/UDP 1604).
The network is configured such that the communication between the Citrix clients and server goes through a GRE tunnel. Traceroutes from client to server, and vice versa, confirm that it passes thru the GRE tunnel. There's no ACL, firewalls or NAT devices along the IP path, in both directions.
The issue is, all Citrix clients can ping to the server but some fail to log on to the server; some have no problem. Also, other applications, e.g. PCAnywhere, can go through. If the GRE tunnel is taken away, all Citrix clients can log on to the Citrix server.
My colleague wants to use our load balancers for VPN. We are coming off 3030s which are serving remote access IPSec as well as terminating LAN to LAN tunnels for like 7 sites.I want to secure the 5540s behind our front end 5585Xs when we move prod to the new dc.We have no immediate need for clientless but need to support osx lion and IPSec client does not. Thats all that's driving this effort currently. I already reminded mgmt that the 3030 and the IPSec client are end of life.I just think anyconnect is the better solution based on current skillset and the popularity of the solution.
We're trying to access Citrix applications on customer`s server, but the error message attached pops up every time I try to access any application. Actually, this is the same error message when we try to use ssh protocol. I'm pretty sure I have loaded all the plugins for this. All the other functionalists are ok for this equipment.
We run a hub&spoke network with dual GRE tunnels from each spoke site to seperate independant adsl routers at the hub.IPsec is enabled on each tunnel with crypto maps and then QOS is enabled with pre-classify for voice traffic priority. We also have defined a class for Citrix traffic by identifying port1494 traffic out and anything bound for our citrix servers IPs.Ok so the problem is that once the encryption comes up on the tunnels, the citrix programs wont connect. Take the crypto map off the tunnel and all works fine.
Here is the relevant config
crypto isakmp policy 1 encr 3des authentication pre-share group 2crypto isakmp key **** address *.*.*.* crypto isakmp key **** address *.*.*.* crypto map SDM_CMAP_1 1 ipsec-isakmp description Tunnel to hub1 set peer *.*.*.* set transform-set ESP-3DES-SHA match address 104 qos pre-classifycrypto map SDM_CMAP_1 2 ipsec-isakmp description Tunnel to hub2 set peer *.*.*.* set transform-set ESP-3DES-SHA match address 105 qos pre-classify

I deliberately weight EIGRP to favour Tun0 and have Tun1 as a failover. I was thinking of Route-mapping the Citrix traffic to Tun1?
My company has a cisco ASA 5510 and we have a Citrix remote desktop solution. In a nutshell I have users from outside our network accessing a virtual Citrix NetScaler inside our DMZ. There is a session reliability feature enabled on the Citrix solution. Session reliability uses tcp port 443. A user from outside the network connects to our network and is handed a virtual desktop to work with. When a remote user is working on their virtual desktop and there is a network connection issue the end user loses network connectivity for a brief period of time (in most cases just seconds) then the Citrix session reliability feature takes over and holds in a buffer all data destined for the end user . Once the connection is re-established then the buffer is emptied and the session goes on like before and the end user is able to use the virtual desktop. At least this is the way it should work.
In our case the connection never re-establishes between the end user outside the network and the NetScaler in our DMZ. We have been working with Citrix Support and they believe the issue is in our firewall. We have taken packets captures with Wire shark and we can see when the network failure occurs the NetScaler in the DMZ is holding information in a buffer and trying to communicate with the remote end user outside our network via packets and TCP port 443. We can also do the same packet captures from the end user computer and see where it is not receiving any packets from the NetScaler in our DMZ. The fire wall has an access list allowing any traffic in the outside port destined to the NetScaler Public IP on port 443. Then once in the firewall outside port we have a static rule pointing to the NetScaler IP in the DMZ.Everything is working quite well until we need to rely upon the session reliability. We have tried altering the TCP & Global Timeouts options in the firewall via the ASDM with no luck.
I have a question around pix 501 (6.3) configuration. I am trying to allow traffic from a single Citrix CAG across a variety of ports (80,443,9001-9005,27000,7279,1494,2598) from external (dmz) interface through to multiple addresses (on the same ports) on the internal (secure) network and dont know how to best approach it or if its possible. The only way I have found to allow traffic through is via Static Nat entries which I cant see will work for this requirement as we need some ports to be allowed into multiple addresses.
We're setting up a Citrix Cloudstack/XenServer environment and having a heck of a time getting VLAN communication to work with the Cisco SG300-28 switches we've got. We have 4 hosts that are running physically connected to 2 SG300-28 switches. The Guest Network NICS are running on XenServer with a VLAN configuration. As you'll see below our problem lies in that the vm on Host1 (10.1.1.254) cannot communicate to the vm on Host2 (10.1.1.5).Our SG300-28 is currently in L2 mode with Trunked ports for the NICS. It's allowed the VLAN 133 as tagged. Here's the guest networking:here's how our SG300-28 are configured for VLAN traffic GE1,2,13,14 are the connected ports with VLAN133 being one of the tagged VLANS
Currently using intel 5100 & 6200 client cards on multiple driver versions. WiSM is 7.0.116. APs are 1250 and 1260 series. Citrix is setup to send server-side keepalives for session reliability. Randomly, several times a day the client will get disconnected from the Citrix application session but maintain connectivity to the AP and other applications continue to work. Traces show the server-side keepalive reach the controller but are delayed from controller to client by 5-6 seconds. Just enough time for the Citrix server to timeout and tear down to session. Additional testing shows the delay most likely occurs somewhere from controller to AP. It occurs on multiple controllers on multiple campuses.
We have Dell/Broadcom clients that don't experience the problem. The only commonality seems to be the Intel cards. CCX? I know Intel has a special relationship with Cisco regarding CCX and have developed features not available on other cards. Tried disabling power save and other CCX features but hasn't solved the issue.
I wanted to setup a home network for primarily sharing my music, pictures and videos.I have a PS3 which can stream the video/music and display the pictures from a media server to my TV.I was wondering between NAS and a desktop computer? and wanted to know which was the better or cheaper solution? (2 much 2 ask for both)
Main Issues
--Will NAS work with PS3?
--Incase of a computer, i know i will be able to use logmein or gotomypc to Download files directly to that machine even when im not home and when i do get home its ready to go. Can the same be achieved with a NAS?What else should i consider? i.e. pros and cons of both.
I am trying to establish a connection with an already existing IPsec VPN for file sharing. I click on the icon and get error messages when I type the correct username and password. I also entered the shared secret key correctly. I do not know where to enter the "group" name that coincides with the key I was given.
I'm in the middle of restoring a Windows XP computer after a drive failure, and on the new system, the Turn On File and Printer Sharing setting has been forcing a reboot and always resets itself to Off after the restart.
