I bought an Acer Aspire One D255E in Taiwan and it is particularly slow when using internet. Sometimes it does not even open the page. Every other computer I use with the same internet connections are much faster.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the last few weeks my wireless has been crap and it's been quite slow, making some pages take forever to load or stuck in a constant loading cycle. Im on a Acer Aspire One D257-13448 netbook with built in Intel Centrino N-100 wireless adapter.
I've tries a lot of things already, resetting my Bell 2Wire modem outer, disabling and re-enabling my wifi, chaning the wireless network name and password, and even chaning the power settings for maximum wireless performance. Though I have noticed a little increase in speed with the last action, its still slower then it was when I first got my netbook back in september. I know the network is fine because my two computer connected by wires work just fine.
Im running Windows 7 Professional SP1.
I cannot get internet access to my laptop. I DSL and wireless. It is showing that I am connected,but it says "No Internet access". I ran a diagnostic, and it told me the problem is- default gateway is not available.

It functioned normally for about a day and then it stopped connecting to the internetEvery other wifi enabled device I have connects just fine so its not my modem. Should I get more ram though the min requirements for XP are 256 for this connection?

Recently we have set up internet in our student accommodation flat and for some strange reason the internet speed seems to be incredible low when I am connected using wireless. I am trying to download some stuff and the download speed drops below 10kb/s. The internet speed is very temperamental as it can be fine for a minute and then it will suddenly drop really low. If I disconnect from and reconnect to the network the speed will be high again then it will drop really low again. If I am connected via an ethernet cable the speed is fine and does not drop at all.My ISP is Orange, and I am using an Acer 8930G laptop. Some of my flat mates are experiencing this as well but some aren't. I was wondering whether or not it could just be a laptop thing or a router thing. The speed can drop that low that I can not even browse web pages.

For some stupid reason my laptop will not connect to wireless networks, now at first I just thought "boo the wireless is probably ******" but that is not the case because the internet works perfectly fine with other laptops. I've tired my school's wifi, along with my home's and the library's (I'm using a library computer right now).
It keeps saying that my home network is an "unidentified network" and subsequently I cannot connect to the internet. It's very frustrating because I have restored the system and it still won't work.

I can connect to the internet with no problems, but the connection intermittently cuts out. It remains offline for about 10/15 seconds and then reconnects to my Home Hub automatically. This is particularly annoying when I'm trying to watch a video.My other flatmates have no issues like this, so I'm assuming that it's a laptop fault and nothing to do with the BT connection. I have uninstalled the Acer eNet software which comes installed on the laptop because I felt this may be clashing somehow with the Windows internet connecting program - unfortunately the problem persists.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a used Acer Aspire One 10.1 netbook and I am having some issues. When I got it the pc needed 17 windows updates done. So I did that but I am not sure all the updates worked properly as the machine shut down but never rebooted after finishing updates. After I turned it back on I tried to connect to the internet through my wireless router (which is working fine for other devices), nothing. So I tried a wired connection, nothing again. The wireless is finding my router it is just not hooking up to the internet. I tried ipconfig/all in the cmd prompt and all it shows is that the media is disconnected??? Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? The compute seems to be functioning fine except for the internet.

The other computers in the house aren't having a problem getting on the web. This has happened once before, but I can't remember exactly how I fixed it at that time, naturally. The blinking light on the right side of the keyboard that indicates the network adaptor and modem are working isn't blinking today. It is a solid light. I have tried rebooting, shutting down for a while, etc., with no luck.
