The tunnel has been up and working okay for months, nothing has changed on the config and the key is correct. Traffic is following but remote users are complaining of performance issues. A wireshark shows checksum errors and lots of packet resends. Remote ISP has checked the circuit and says its clean.The data centre router has quite a few tunnels but only 1 causing this issue. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have small business server 2003 setup as a DC and did not install exchange, i use hosted exchange. i am trying to setup vpn and have opened port 1723 on both of my router. my network routes through a wireless router(192.168.1.1) (port 1723 forwarded to .1.104) to a second wireless router (192.168.2.1) to my server with two nic cards (.2.2 - external and .2.103 - internal) (port 1723 forwarded to .2.2) i can telnet 192.168.2.2 1723, .2.103, .1.104 - my ip of my second router handed by the first router. my server in handling dhcp and it is disabled on my .2 router. I CAN NOT telnet my public ip handed to 1.1 from the ISP(my internet IP). it tries for about 30 secs and dies.

From what I can see it uses the hostname value as from address. The hostname in my case is ap02. Then you could try setting a mail address in the hostname field, but thats not allowed.

I was wondering how to tighten the security of my email delivery to a range of ip addresses (I know how on my old firewall but the cisco is quite a bit different). Right now anyone sending email to a particular ip address on my firewall can do so. I want to restrict that to two ip address ranges it will accept deliver from. I'm thinking I need two network objects for the two ranges then add to a network object group. Configuring the ACL for delivery using that group if I'm correct about that ?

- User should able to connect to the SSID without any authentication.
- Once user will connec to the SSID it should redirect to an external URL which indicates terms and condition and email address field.
- User should enter his/her email address in email addrss filed and click I accept button.
- Once that is done then he/she is allowed to access internet.
We are not sure how can we achive this as I do not know what should be the return value for WLC to allow that user to go through or what should be the settings on the WLC to redirect to the page.
I have seen a settings on web authentication for external URL but I guess it is only for username passwor or Radius authentication. While in this case I do not want to use any authentication just an accept buttor or Decline button and all good to go.
I have a question about NAT behavior on FWSM 4.0. The problem is email server (Company A) cannot connect to email gateway (Company B) on the outside network and it randomly happen. I got this error from server guy "Detail: xlate has blocked the connection between A’s mail gateway and B’s mail gateway". It work fine again after clear xlate on firewall. [code]
1. How FWSM create xlate table like that? I mean it look like NAT0 for 158.137.21.26 but it doesn't has any nat rule for 158.137.21.26 on firewall.
2. What does it mean "connections 24" at the first of line? In the normal time, I only see the connections is 0 like the second line of xlate
3. After clear xlate global 158.137.21.26, the first line of xlate table is gone then email server can connect each other. Does is a bug on FWSM? or This is a normal NAT behavior of FWSM.

I have it configured in the virtual servers list as; internal system ip, public port/private port both 23, protocal tcp with inbound filter, allow all and schedule set to always. I have a second system with a different public port. I can connect to either one but after a short amount of idle time it appears to just drop the connection.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a big problem with my Cisco 1841 and the WIC-1AM-V2 in Slot 0.I got the task, to test if it is possible, to build up a connection (Dial on Demand Routing) to a remote modem, which is connected to a console port of another Cisco 1841, with the integrated modem card over POTS from the CLI of the router. My router will only dial out to the remote modems and only if its needed.I am connected to the router with the integrated modem card over a console cable on the console port. The remote modem is also connected to the console port of the remote Cisco 1841.
I found out, with my Dialer Profile configuration, it is possible to build up a connection. I configured a dialer list, that specifies that all ip traffic is permitted an interesting for my dialer interface. So a telnet or ping brings up my dialer, which brings up my Async interface. With the "show line" command, I can see that the TTY line, connected with the Async0/0/0 Interface is in use for 5 minutes, because of the "exec-timeout 5 0", which is configured on the remote router. Now the problem is, in this 5 minutes, I can not use a remote telnet on this line with my loopback interface, because the line is already in use and I get a "connection refused". The first telnet I use runs in a timeout, because the remote host is not responding. When I dial out directly from the modem card and not from the CLI with the AT-commands, I get also the connection and with a return i get the login prompt. I will post my actual config, so that you can see maybe a mistake I did or which command I must use, to get a working connection. [code]

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the past week I've had a problem browsing the internet. Now, at first, this only happened starting at around 3 am central time and ending at about 6 am when I could browse the internet properly. As the days went forth, however, it began happening earlier at around 12 am. What would happen is this: would be on the internet browsing sites and whatnot. All of a sudden (As I'm loading a new page) I would get the "Address not found" error as if I'm not connected to the internet. I could try to reload any other page on my session,but sometimes it would halfway load (ei:not loading pictures, ect.) and other times I would get Address not found. This would go for about a 4 hour time period. After that, everything would be back to normal and I could go back on my session.
Now, I'm on my laptop via a router that is in my house. We also have a desktop computer, but I noticed this problem happening on my laptop first. When it first happened, it was only on my laptop. I had internet connection and could browse it endlessly on my desktop. As the days went on, however, my desktop started having the same problem connecting to the internet (I still noticed the problem on my laptop first and then I would go see if the desktop had it too).When this first happened, I was thinking my laptop wasn't connecting to my router. Instinctively, I reset the router to no avail. I also opened up IE (I don't use it much because it's just too slow) and tried to diagnose the problem using that. When I did this, it was giving me DNS as the problem of me not connecting to the internet. I am not a network admin so I don't know that much about DNS. I also used IE to diagnose the problem on the following days, but after the first time it only gave me a "You aren't connected to the internet" solution. Since then, I've been running a barrage of anti virus, rootkit, ect. just because I can and I haven't done it in a long time. I didn't find anything unusual in all the reports so I'm still not sure what the problem is.
When I try to log on the internet, I get an error that says IP address un recognized. When I run the command to renew the IP address , it says that a socket error or something.

Problem is that my xbox does not have built in wifi and even with a wifi adapter hotel internet portals prevent from connecting automatically to internet without a browser. I have watched some video on youtube with different methods of using a laptop to connect via ethernet to your xbox and share the internet connection from the laptop.
