My issue is that for as long as I can remember I lose connection temporarily while playing computer games online. It has plagued me through location changes, ISP changes, router changes, and modem changes. What seems to happen is the internet losing connection for a second, causing my computer to reconnect to the server, which takes a few more seconds. This happens at random, and at least twice every fourty-five minutes or so. It happens regardless of the game I'm playing (though I've only tried to recreate it with LoL and Dota 2). For those gamers out there, you can understand how frustrating this could be.I have tried both wired and wireless connection. I am running Windows 7 Studio XPS 435T/9000, and have recently replaced the graphics card
N600DB - Currently configured with primary computer hardwired to router, 1 laptop via WiFi, a Network booster used by iPhone/iPads and every time I wake the primary computer I get the Router Monitor alert that my internet connection has failed. By the way, I am currently using the primary computer to post this and the Belkin Router Monitor still says my "internet connection has failed" and An Internet connection cannot be established at this time. Re-booting your router may solve this problem, but you will temporarily lose your connection during the reboot.
I have an Acer 7750G, running Windows 7,connected to our home network using a Dynex router. At the moment this is the only laptop in the house that is having problems with connectivity. Starting yesterday, it only connects intermittently. When I run diagnostics, it says the following problems have been fixed but it either solves the problem for a few minutes only or not at all: "Problem with wireless adapter or access point" or "Default gateway is not available".
IPV6 connectivity also shows 'no internet access' and sometimes IPV4 reports no internet. I've unplugged and rebooted the modem and router a few times but that hasn't solved the problem.
Edit: I ran troubleshoot again, and it says the following issue is not fixed: "Wireless Network Connection 2 does not have a valid IP configuration".
I live in Poland and my Internet supplier it's Polish firm UPC. It's DSL connection. I've got custom Windows Firewall and Norton Antivirus 2012. I used to have Norton Internet Security but I uninstalled it because of a presuppostion that my my problems could have been connected with it.My router: Thompson TWG870UG. My internet speed is high (60MB/s) so my problem is not related to that thing. I have Windows 7.The problem:I've got two notebooks. The problem is with the new one.Internet connection on the older never malfunctions. On the other hand my new notebook is a source of a problem. Despite quick downloading and good results of speedtests (30mb/s) the sites open really slowly. Neither can I watch videos (e.g. youtube) because they don't load. How should I proceed to fight this problem
One of our accounting administrators will be working in our server this weekend from his home remotely. He wanted to know if there was a way I could temporarily lock users from remoting in a few days to prevent them from messing up his work. The only way I could think of was disabling the accounts in Active Directory and then re-enabling them once he was done. Server is running Windows Server 2003 with the users remoting in via RDP. They all have accounts in Active Directory.
A few days ago we upgraded LMS to version 4. It worked fine, but after installing patches and updates from Cisco web, the web interface failed and we haven't been able to restore the service.
Service Temporarily Unavailable. The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. [code]
I was having some troubles with the LMS client itself (Any job I started would run forever, never finish, never error out, just "running") so I rebooted the server and after a reboot the web interface show up with a "Service Temporarily Unavailable" "The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later"
environment: LMS 4.1 on Solaris 10 from time to time Web-UI Login is not possilbe showing a message "Service Temporarily Unavailable".Troubleshooting the problem we discovered that lots of TCP-Connections are in CLOSE_WAIT state when WEBUI-Unavailabilty comes up. [code]
I have 2 Laptops connected wirelessly, 1 Vista, the other Windows 7. The Vista laptop seems to be dropping the connection, when I look at 'Network & Sharing Centre on the Vista laptop, it's telling me signal strength excellent but with a red cross indicating there is a break between me and the internet. HOWEVER, the windows 7 laptop (on it now) is working perfectly OK!!
What could b the issue with my internet connection i keep losing the connection every few minutes if im idol on sites not games related i stay connected when i go onto games i start losing the connection. [code]
I recently moved to a new location and my wireless internet disconnects, literally every minute. My roommate never has any issues with his wireless connection, and this is the first time I've had connection issues with this laptop. The provider is Comcast and it runs through a hard wired/wireless modem (no antennas). Our connection is encrypted. My signal strength is always excellent, but still briefly disconnects with a continuous cycle, as it automatically reconnects.
I have att dsl and im using a linksys wireless router and lately my interenet keeps disconnecting. Specifically the little wireless icon in the bottom right of my windows 7 display gets a yellow exclamation mark for about 10-30 seconds then recconects. Its quite annoying and seems to be happening more often now. I have a strange setup on the router, i think its running in bridge mode or something and the modem is doing the actual routing.
mother in law laptop and poor signal. Called d link reset and changed channel to 11. still same issue. oh have also now removed the desktop, was I required to do anything more on the new laptop that may be causing this?
Since upgrading to windows 8 a few days ago my router keeps dropping my connection every few minutes . 4 other pc's in the house are fine. Mine has a wooden floor for the signal to pass through, my wifes which is fine has two walls between her and the router.
my wifes laptop to working better for internet connectivity. Now my mother's is having similiar issues, constantly losing connection and what notI did a couple of scans using the programs that were recommended on that previous threadHere are the logs.
For the past 2 weeks i have been losing internet connection on my pc, ps3, laptops and phones every 15min and i have no clue what to do. It has never done anything like this.
I managed to block as much of the streaming video (using URL Blocks of .flv, .wmv, etc...) how do I block YouTube.com for 23 hours of the day (or allow access for 1 hour a day)...but maintaining all the other blocks intact 24 hours a day?
Also is there a way to block p2p file sharing (BitTorrent)?
I have remote access as I work at home on a government laptop that has Entrust( for security). My IP lapse time is set for 1 hour and every hour I am losing full connection due to having to sign back into Entrust. I need to be able to lenghten my lapse time on my work computer. My other two personal computers are fine with 1 hour as there is no Entrust on either of those laptops.....is it possible for me to change the lapse time to say 12 hours, 1 weeks, whatever??
Outlook keeps losing the connection to the PST file on the server. I then have to close outlook and restart then it works fine. But after a while when I have not looked at it, it loses the connection again and again. I can send and receive e-mail.
I have had this problem for ages now. Every thing will be going fine for large periods of time then randomly i will stop being able to access the internet.
I have tried pinging various things such as google.com, when i do i get a range of reposnes from no packets lost, to no repsose atall. the results from the latest google ping;
I have this problem of loosing internet connection every 1-2 min. I ping Google and I have a lots of Requested timed out about 7-8 of those then I have a reply for 30 sec than it starts again "...timed out"t first I thought it was a problem from my ISP than I called them they checked and it seems that everything it's OK and their behalf. I keep calling them for this problem and they came changed the cable and the router but the problem keeps going.I've had the same ISP for over 2 years now and I didn't have any problem but has started about 1 month ago. At first I was using a TP-LINK 54M Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router connected throught Poppe with a username. I thought it was that the modem had the problem but the ISP brought a new modem BILLION and the problem keeps going. I've tried in two different PC's same problem.
So my boyfriend and I just moved and, after struggling with our old wireless router we haven't used in years (pretty sure it was dead), we bought a whole new one in the hopes that starting from scratch would be simpler. It's a Netgear and we were aiming to hook up three devices through it; my laptop, his computer, and our Xbox 360.
He hooked it up no problem and we were using wifi for our computers and one ethernet cable through the router into the Xbox, peach as pie... Except my Toshiba laptop decided to rebel and allow me to use the internet for about five minutes before claiming there's "no internet." The signal says excellent and the little alert symbol keeps appearing and disappearing, but no pages will load. I tried running troubleshooting, but it couldn't identify the problem. Shutting down my laptop and turning it back on seems to be the only way to get it going again for another five minutes until the cycle continues.
Im having problems with some toshiba laptops that arnt showing the SSID for some wireless points in the school. We have had the waps set up with the same ssid so we can walk around and the laptops will connect from one to the other. Its been like this for sometime however some new laptops we have got running windows 7 pro show some of the waps up as "other network" - File attached. The actual SSID on ALL waps is Peel Park WiFi Therefore it keeps losing connection to the wireless points and wont connect to some.
If have this weird problems that everytime that I try to connect on the wifi using my pc it crashes but in a weird manner.let's say i'm playing a game (heroes of newerth or dota) I can't input any command, i can't move my character and a disconnection icon is visible. However I still see everybit of action I see my teamates moves I see them die with no lag, I just can't input anything. [code]
We have a newer linksys router supporting 4 laptops, 2 desktops, 3 iphones, an ipad, an apple tv (also a smart tv, two wifi blu-ray players, but I'm less concerned about those devices). Everything is relatively new (1-2 years old). Most everything is turned on during the day but only a few things may be in use at a time. Many of my devices are loosing connection multiple times per day, my ipad is losing connection every 15 minutes, my apple tv takes a lot of finagling to connect (my level of tech expertise is basically me power cycling everything and prayer). Once my laptops get online, they tend to stick. It seems my apple devices lose signal more frequently.I've updated the firmware on the router and played with wideband settings and channel selection and haven't noticed much difference. I do see a lot of other wifi signals around me. The constant disconnecting has been going on for a couple of months. We have Comcast/Xfinity as our cable provider on 20/MB internet.
I lose every day internet in the same time etc.in 2 pm and tomarow again in 2pm and also i get in the same time etc i lose internet in 2pm and i get internet in 7pm and tomarow again i have caled my ISP and it is not problem whit it also it is not virus.
I am running the below rig and connecting wirelessly via my DSL Router to my Blu-ray player which is connected via HDMI to my TV. Using Windows Media Center I have been recording shows via an OTA antenna. They are in .wtv format and going on the 500GB HDD. Playing these files on my TV has been going well until this week. During playback we frequently lose the connection. I have tried power cycling the router and the player, re-entering my settings in the player and connecting via Cat 6 cable. The only clues I have are that I recently did a second firmware update on my player (did not occur immediately after that) and I sometimes get the following message on the computer... Media Foundation Protected Pipeline EXE has stopped working.
I currently have a Netgear dgn2200 n300 wireless router (acts as a modem, you know all in one thing), and I have configured the settings on it so I can have an open nat type/port forwarded for gaming and so on. I have my xbox and the desktop connected to it via ethernet and my ipod and laptop connected wireless.
The problem is that the internet just drops out for a couple of mins every hour or so whether I or whoever is on it or not. I have tried changing the cables and filter for the phone line but nothing has seemed to work. Occasionally when the internet drops out it doesn't come back on so I have to unplug the router and so on to get it to work.
It's just starting to get annoying getting disconnected so often especially when the router cost like $200 and is supposed to be good for gaming and stuff, and I can't seem to find out why or isolate the problem. My internet download speed is fairly quick (I can get 1.5mb/s say when downloading a movie/hd youtube) and I get 70 GB a month.
It seems to happen only when connected through our rooms or through wireless. When I connect directly to the router I don't lose connection. The router is downstairs and it routes the wired connection through a switch. So when routing through the switch or using wireless the connection is lost and re-connects about every 30 seconds to 1 minute. When directly connected it works fine. I've reset the router and reset all settings twice and nothing. I'm using 10/100. Not sure if any of this matters. I have also updated the firmware to 1.35NA. PPPOE password and username are correct as they have been given by our ISP. Any settings I should be aware of? Everything is pretty much default. All I do is setup the internet connection and then setup a wireless connection. Are we overloading the system maybe? I've also changed the password a few times as well. Seems like the logs fill up really fast. Keep getting blocked UDP and TCP packets from different addresses.
i have had my inspiron 17r since this christmas. however, after about a month of having my computer i noticed something that it did that was very annoying. the wifi connection is randomly lost for about 2 minutes and then re connects. during that time i cannot load any pages or anything. when it first started doing this, it would only happen about once every 2 hours, but it progressively got worse and worse to the point that i cannot even access the internet with it anymore. i boot it up and it has no connection then connects to wifi for 5 seconds and then loses it again. heres the deal though, this only happens with my computer out of all of my family's computers. i have a very good wifi connection because the connection says "good" whenever it does connect, and this problem never happened with my last computer which was a toshiba. i know for a fact it isn't a problem with my home wifi because i have brought my computer on a trip across the country before and it still happened. Dell worker before gave me a link to update some drivers of which i cant remember. this rectify the problem a little for maybe a week or two and then it started doing it again.
