When I boot up my computer, I have two internet connections, one Home and one Public. I can't access the internet while they're both active. The only way to get online is to disable and re-enable the wireless adapter.
View 7 Repliesabout 3 or 4 days ago i tried to set up a minecraft server. I opened up my routers page using the ip adress to conifgure the settings, changed the settings and logged out. After that i couldnt connect to any web pages yet the internet was still connected. I have tried looking for a way to fix this for days. I have tried ipconfigs renewing and flushing my dns nothings working. In trouble shooter it says that its a problem with the dns server. Im running windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have similiar problem, that just started few days ago, when I installed norton 360 and logmein software. After that day, I havent been able to play War of the Roses Beta game nor Age of Conan game, without internet stopping to work. League of Legends does not trigger this problem for some reason.
When problem occurs I get no connection to internet, although network says it has internet connection. I can connect to internet again after few minutes (5-15) and all is fine, until I play online games again. My friend says he hears me a little while (through xfire) after I get disconnected from the game, I dont hear him though.
I was thinking of making new thread, but I feel the problem might be connected or something. Atleast the problem sounds much like mine.
I have tried everything I can think of but since purchasing my 615-N router from DLink, I haven't been able to get online via wireless internet from another computer in this apartment. The router seems to be working fine - I have a LAN connection through it to this computer I'm on now and the PS3 hooked up to the wireless signal just fine. It is the one desktop computer though. The only thing I can think of is that I am using an old g adapter. I didn't think this would matter because the N router can supposedly communicate with g and b devices.

I can't connect directly to the modem because it's my roommates internet and it's connected to her computer so my only option is wireless or to connect directly via adapter that goes through the power outlets in the house. It's getting very annoying skipping around and it's almost impossible to play diablo 3 with this lag. I notice I drop a lot of packets when pinging to the diablo 3 server and I don't know why.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an older (but still good) computer...it's gotten to the point of being somewhat less than functional due to remnants of old programs and viruses and such scattered thoughout it. After a few weeks of fighting it to get it to run properly I think at this point my best option is to reformat the hard drive and re-install the original OS from CD. I've already backed up all my important files to CD and DVD, pretty much ready to pull the trigger here.... Concerned about getting back online! I have cable internet (Bresnan)...I want to make sure I have the proper drivers and any applicable software to get back online, I know people have had problems with this after reformatting....The computer is a dell dimension 8400, I'll be returning it to a windows XP home edt. with sp2 from the OS CD, (circa 2004ish). I plan on putting a comodo firewall installation on a CD as well, so I have a functional firewall in place (instead of the crappy norton one that will get re-installed) when I go to get the sp2 updates and the sp3 and updates and not just end up re-infected again...

This is because me and my brother do game on the ADSL cause of the low latency of it, when one of us do surf the whole connection lags. I do have 2 internet connections at home, one is ADSL(1.5MB Connection) and one is WiMAX(10MB Connection). Both of these routers/modems are connected to the same network. I want to use the ADSL for gaming(light usage) and the WiMAX one for browsing and downloading(heavy usage).
I came up with three ways:
1) ForceBindIP - (1) (2) - Didn't work for me with Windows 7 64bit on Firefox 12.0
2) Using VMWare - Which I do not want to.
3) Using Astaro Security Gateway Home Edition - Which is a bit complicated and I have to run a dedicated PC for it with special setup in order to make it work (Live Demo)

Other computers in the house are fine with wireless and the direct connection.This computer I am working on is the one directly connected (not wireless).I tried the connection on other computers and it works.When troubleshooting, it indicates it lost the drivers so we downloaded the correct drivers and installed them on the computer. At this point everything is working fine. Computers in "Place 1" can see computers in "Place 2" over network and share files and printers. Plus "Place 2" have internet from "Place 1".I want now to link "Place 2" to a "Place 3" using the same Nanostation M5 antennas and I can do it the same way I did Place1-Place2, BUT, what about "Place 3" router? it is connected to a DSL modem. "Router 3" should be DHCP Disabled too? What about the internet connection? I would like "Place 2" in the middle would be able to take the internet connection from both Place 1 - Place 3. It can be done keeping computers sharing files and folders between all 3 places?
