I've experienced this before, but now I don't remember what I did to get rid of it. Appears after I have reinstalled my computer. Same OS,bit etc just to get rid of all my messy stuff. Does anybody know where I can fix this?
View 14 RepliesI have similiar problem, that just started few days ago, when I installed norton 360 and logmein software. After that day, I havent been able to play War of the Roses Beta game nor Age of Conan game, without internet stopping to work. League of Legends does not trigger this problem for some reason.
When problem occurs I get no connection to internet, although network says it has internet connection. I can connect to internet again after few minutes (5-15) and all is fine, until I play online games again. My friend says he hears me a little while (through xfire) after I get disconnected from the game, I dont hear him though.
I was thinking of making new thread, but I feel the problem might be connected or something. Atleast the problem sounds much like mine.
So basically, everytime i play a game (Grand Theft Auto), i can be on it for about 10 seconds before it makes a weird sound and then i lose internet connection. I have re-installed my game, updated my drivers, and i do not have any viruses. Also, i use a Dell Inspiron 1525 (i know its a horrible pc), once i lose connection i have to restart my PC just to get my internet connection back, and when it is done restarting, it says there is a problem with my WLAN card.

My internet connection is fine except when I try to play a game online I'll be on for a few seconds and then the connection shuts down. Not just for the game but for everything. I can't connect directly to the modem because it's my roommates internet and it's connected to her computer so my only option is wireless or to connect directly via adapter that goes through the power outlets in the house. It's getting very annoying skipping around and it's almost impossible to play diablo 3 with this lag. I notice I drop a lot of packets when pinging to the diablo 3 server and I don't know why.

I have tried multiple things to get this working, but nothing seems to work. I have tried ipconfig /release, then going in the settings and tricking the network into giving me a new IP then typing ipconfig /renew. And that didn't work. I have deleted the Bonjour thing out of my services.

When the router is first turned on or a setting is changed any/all of the computers here can connect to the Ultima Online game server for login but within a few minutes most will not be able to. Its as if they are being refused a connection to login.owo.com (I think that is where they connect to). 1 maybe 2 computers can still connect but its fickle and can't know which 1 or 2 it will be or for how long.any computers already connected to a game server are fine its just the ones trying to login after the router has been running for a few minutes. My first assumption 2 days ago when this happened with my dlink gaming router was that the router developed a problem but now with a new router its still happening. The problem started when I re-enabled the wireless on my gaming router and when I noticed the problem I re-disabled the wireless but the problem persists. A new modem (the DIR-655) did not work...

When I go to get a list of servers when playing games online, my router lights up and then crashes, and I cant get on the internet again until I exit the game. Although, some games do work. There are no problems with my firewall, and if I connect directly to my modem, I can play fine.
ok so im obviously connected to the net as i can surf the web and play games online, however when i play something that requires a launcher/updater like MMOs the internet cannot connect to it? it also happens on steam.. i can view my friends and chat, launch and play games but i cannot view the store or anything via steam browser.

I have a button on my keyboard that turns my wireless on and off like many laptops do, and when playing these games after a couple minutes it will be turned off and I need to restart my computer to be able to get my wireless working again. where my internet dropped alot while playing ps3.i switched from my horrible d-link router to a DIR-655 Since i bought it, i've never dropped but my connection speed is an issue when playing my ps3.I use a wired connection through my router.some periods during the day it's 2 mbps download.. that's really slow considering my computer has 20 mbps download through wired connection.some periods during the day it runs fine @ 4 mbps - 5 mbps download (this is fine for gameplay but it lags a bit)if i directly connect my modem to my ps3 - it goes 20 mbps download (amazing fast speed)I called d-link technical support and did everything from port forwarding to turning on DMZ and putting my ps3 IP in there. I have a 2 part question: is there anything i can do to boost my ps3 connection download speed as high as it would be if it was connected straight to my modem while using a wired connection to my router? if that's not possible, is there anyway i can keep a stable download speed @ 5mbps?

I have an old HP Pavilion that was shelved due to slow issues. Now I'd like another computer to be a stereo for streaming radio in the house. View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery so often when I type in say url internet cuts out. When I click on IE the internet comes up. As soon as I begin to type w again it cuts out. If I shut down my system and reboot everything works great. I spoke to HP and they said to use disk cleanup. I downloaded malware and did a quick scan. I also used the HP performance and also AVG. I try to connect to the wireless network at my home, and either of the 2 wifi networks at my university, and I can't make either one work reliably. I have many other wireless devices that connect fine (xbox 360, 2 iPod touchs, and another laptop). It will connect fine at my in-laws and my buddy's house. I don't know if this means anything but I set up the network on the HP. It worked fine hooked up throu an Ethernet cord. I know it's not the modem or router. In my network center it will identify the network and show it's connected but in the manage wireless networks window it says it's connected to an unidentified network. The router is a belkin.

It goes down every hour or so and I have to press the wireless button once to turn it off and once to turn it back on in order for my computer to regain internet access.
