View 3 RepliesI'm using a Sierra wireless 4g aircard for internet access, the ISP is Clearwire. Normally it works fine with no problems, but a few days ago I started getting a connectivity issue. When playing games, even games that don't use the internet connection at all, and ONLY playing games (it's fine as I type this, I'm even dling something in the background), the connection will be lost, and the thing will immediately reaquire the signal and reconnect, the whole process takes like 20 seconds. The result is it's impossible to play games, I get 10k ms lag spikes every couple minutes that last for about 30 seconds, and if I'm playing most server based games (Steam Source games) I just get disconnected outright.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have similiar problem, that just started few days ago, when I installed norton 360 and logmein software. After that day, I havent been able to play War of the Roses Beta game nor Age of Conan game, without internet stopping to work. League of Legends does not trigger this problem for some reason.
When problem occurs I get no connection to internet, although network says it has internet connection. I can connect to internet again after few minutes (5-15) and all is fine, until I play online games again. My friend says he hears me a little while (through xfire) after I get disconnected from the game, I dont hear him though.
I was thinking of making new thread, but I feel the problem might be connected or something. Atleast the problem sounds much like mine.
I was just playing a game, hosting a server with Hamachi, when all of a sudden, I disconnect from the internet. The Windows diagnostic says what I posted in the title. I have tried multiple things to get this working, but nothing seems to work. I have tried ipconfig /release, then going in the settings and tricking the network into giving me a new IP then typing ipconfig /renew. And that didn't work. I have deleted the Bonjour thing out of my services.

I have re-installed my game, updated my drivers, and i do not have any viruses. Also, i use a Dell Inspiron 1525 (i know its a horrible pc), once i lose connection i have to restart my PC just to get my internet connection back, and when it is done restarting, it says there is a problem with my WLAN card.

My computer has started acting really weird. My internet connection is fine except when I try to play a game online I'll be on for a few seconds and then the connection shuts down. Not just for the game but for everything. When I used windows troubleshoot it had these errors."the connection between your access point router or cable modem and the internet is broken default gateway is not available: detected" and"the default gateway is not available:fixed"After I do that I have a connection again but the same thing happens when I play another game.I have tried updating my drivers, scanning for malware of all sorts, registry cleaning, and I even reformatted.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy internet connection keeps freezing when I'm trying to play Diablo 3. I can't connect directly to the modem because it's my roommates internet and it's connected to her computer so my only option is wireless or to connect directly via adapter that goes through the power outlets in the house. It's getting very annoying skipping around and it's almost impossible to play diablo 3 with this lag. I notice I drop a lot of packets when pinging to the diablo 3 server and I don't know why.
View 2 Replies View Relatedproblem is that my internet traffic slows down to a stop after 5 minutes or so of activity. It is not a complete stop, sometimes I may get a tiny burst of traffic after 2 minutes or more of inactivity. I am connected via an ADSL wireless routerOther computers on the (windows workgroup) network do NOT have this problem. I am able to communicate normally with other local network computers. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the DIR-655 Hardware version B1, Firmware version 2.00NA and everything has been working fine for about 3 months. Lately the internet connection to all the computers would just stop. All the computers are connected to the router and the router is connected to the cable modem and their is no indication of a problem. The lights are all on and the router status shows the cable status as connected and the network status as established. I can't open any webpages, or all the ping would time out. It happens on all device, Windows Vista/7 PC, Mac computer, Linux laptop, and iPhone/ iPad. The problem gets fixed when I reset the router or just wait about 5-10 minutes and the problem goes away. That normally isn't a problem, but it's starting to happen twice a day now and it is really really annoying when I'm playing games. I tried the FAQ and searching the forums, but in vain.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just installed the X2000 and managed to get my Win7 Home Premium to connected to the Internet and also one wireless device. I previously had just a modem. Sometimes, when my PC is up and running, I want to disconnect it from the Internet and later connect again. There is an icon on the lower right of my toolbar which, with my old modem, allowed me to connect and disconnect but it seems to know only about the old modem. Basically it operated by starting the sequence: All Control Panel Items>Network Connections>Broadband Connection. Now this function does work; it tries to connect (through "WAN Miniport (PPPOE)") and gets "Error 651: The modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error". Can you tell me what where is the program that seems to start the Internet connection for the X2000 and if I can change parameters for the Win7 "Broadband Connection" to use the X2000? Perhaps the parameter "Connect on Demand" in the "Basic Setup" of the X2000 is involved?

I recently switched from a DSL ISP (Earthlink, Zyxel modem configured as a bridge, pppoE connect) to a cable ISP (Comcast, Arris cable modem, dhcp connect). Basically PC --> DIR615-->Cable modem-->Internets. With the old DSL the Internet activity LED (green, looks triangular) on the DIR615 blinked only when internet activity occurred. With the new Comcast connection it blinks non-stop about 5 times a second! Even if the PC is turned off it blinks. It stops blinking if I disconnect the ethernet cable between router and modem. The connection itself is fine, but if the DIR615 is doing something it should not be doing it might slow the connection down a bit, (or burn something out prematurely?)FYI, the Arris cable modem does not seem to be a router. It takes a cable connection from outside and provides a single ethernet cable and 2 (voice) telephone cables to the house.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA couple weeks ago every device on my wireless network started disconnecting from the internet in unison and seemingly at random and then reconnecting. The time between these disconnects varied anywhere between almost immediately after regaining a connection and three to four hours later. As things stand I have a SpeedStream 5200 modem running into a D-Link DIR-655 wireless router. I have had no problems with internet connectivity up until this point. During each disconnect, every device remains connected to the router. I've called Bell and they claim there is no issue with the modem. To test their theory, I bypassed the router altogether, and attempted to connect through an ethernet cable, but to no avail, as the now hardwired device continued to get disconnected. These failures seem to be occurring between noon and 10 p.m. and to be honest I'm amazed that one has not cut this post short.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently built a new PC with an "ASUS PCE-N10" PCIE network adapter. I installed the drivers and everything was secure and nice and fast.
I moved the PC into another room this morning and everything was fine for most of the day. It's stopped working properly though now for some reason.
The connection is much slower and the speed keeps yo yoing and then cutting out. The signal is slightly lower due to positioning but it's still high enough. When it disconnects I use Windows troubleshooter to fix the problem and it says "Wireless Network Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration". It usually reconnects me then, but is still slower than it should be and it doesn't last for long.
I've tried connecting to a chosen IP but it just doesn't work. Other computers on the network are fine. Why now? What's happened?

View 2 Replies View RelatedCurrently I have 3 computers in my house (My PC, Sister's PC and my Mums Laptop). My Mums and Sisters Computers work fine but RECENTLY (last couple of days) my computer when using the internet has become troublesome. Whenever I load multiple web-browser pages at once or try to connect to any online game server, my internet "laggs out" and refuses to load pages and even if it does they load INCREDIBLY slow. The only way to get back into any server is to reboot my modem and let my pc reconnect to it then connect to the server, even then it still has difficulty connecting and is delayed. My ping also spikes up when I am using skype and watching youtube video's. I have done a virus scan. I know its not my wireless adapter as I used my sisters one, I have tried using an ethernet cable and still the same result. I even tried our old adsl modem and still nothing. I'm getting really frustrated and have been unable to even load facebook in the last couple of days (I need facebook! I can post more information if needed, I am computer literate so I should easily understand anything anyone comes up with.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy internet connection has been dropping constantly since the beginning of this year. I cut out for ~10 seconds then regain connection. This gets annoying especially when I'm gaming (Left 4 Dead 2, Counter-Strike, etc.). The modem lights stay on as well as my router lights. I have already called in three of my ISP's (Time Warner Cable) technicians all of whom think they have fixed the problem but haven't. I have changed my modem, router, ethernet cords; one of the technicians also changed the head of the cable wire outside at the cable box. I have also tried connecting the modem directly to my PC, but the same problem still occurs. I don't believe it's a problem with my PC because it's relatively new (~1 year) and all the other computers in the house cuts out as well.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am browsing the web, or listening to an internet radio, or even gaming, after about 30 minutes my internet will cut out. The weird thing though, is that it will come back when I close the game/browser. It seems that whatever tab or application I have running the longest nullifies my internet connection after awhile and will not turn back on until I close out of that specific application.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy network on my desktop keep cutting on and off, starting 2 days ago. It's on for few secs or couple minutes, off or couple secs, then back on. I pinged my router IP "-t", I found that it will be normal for anywhere between 15 - 2 mins then cut off once("Request timed out"), then back on again. I tried to switch port on the router, it didn't work, I tried to reinstall the driver for the network apter, it didn't work. I also tried 2 different anti-virus software, including "Macfee", "Norton 360". None of them told me any virus or Trojans were detected. Now, I'm confused, I don't know how did this happened. I do think it's the internet problem, because all my other devices connecting to the same LAN works fine including wireless and LAN devices. Everything else seems fine and works.By the way, It worked today in the afternoon for about 5 hours without getting cut off, then started a gain in the evening.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Belkin Wireless N1 router and it works great with my laptops and desktop computers. But! Whenever I connect up my iPad 2, mobile phone (Nexus S) or any other mobile phone, Apple TV or PS3 - the internet works and then after about 10-15 minutes (maybe more, maybe less) the internet cuts out and I can't connect on any device. The PS3 works great when hooked up through ethernet, but wirelessly the connection doesn't last very long at all. Both my parents and brother have an android based smartphone and when at home they'd like to use our WiFi instead of their mobile data - and when it comes to online gaming on the PS3, I don't want to have to trail an ethernet cable all the way to my PS3 set-up. I have full signal strength throughout the house so range isn't an issue - I've also tried connection up whilst next to the router and the connection still cuts out. To resolve this I have to pull the power cable and re-boot the router.
I have cable broadband and the modem still indicates that I have a connection, and when the internet is cut from the modem the router shows a message saying that "No internet connection can be found". The screen still indicates that it still has an internet connection but it just isn't broadcasting it...I've altered the broadcast channels but this hasn't done anything. I can connect up to my friends Belkin ADSL Wireless router with no problems and it doesn't cut out. He has his PS3 connected wirelessly too and it's all good...

View 12 Replies View RelatedI've recently moved into a new flat and got a new BT Home Hub with Unlimited use. Alas, I'm having problems with my laptop - an Acer Aspire 5920. I can connect to the internet with no problems, but the connection intermittently cuts out. It remains offline for about 10/15 seconds and then reconnects to my Home Hub automatically. This is particularly annoying when I'm trying to watch a video. My other flatmates have no issues like this, so I'm assuming that it's a laptop fault and nothing to do with the BT connection. I have uninstalled the Acer eNet software which comes installed on the laptop because I felt this may be clashing somehow with the Windows internet connecting program - unfortunately the problem persists.

Everything works and I don't have trouble accessing the internet and I always get 5 bars, but whenever I play a game online it will disconnect me after a while. Sometimes it disconnects me after 5 minutes and sometimes after 30 minutes. The only games I play are Arma 2 and Garry's mod and I have the same problem with both games. The weird thing is that I talk to friends on steam when we are playing and it doesn't get disconnected I can hear them fine, and my internet access bar at the lower right doesn't say I'm disconnected. Streaming and downloading work as well. I have no idea what to do, we got a new router because the old one was faulty and we called our isp and they said there was nothing wrong on their end it.
