View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a WLC 4402 on my network. Recently mobile phones can connect to the wireless network and obtain a valid IP address. This IP is pingable from a workstation anywhere else on the network. However, these phones will not display web pages. They come up page cannot be displayed. I even tried putting Google's IP address in the phone's browser and it still did not display. I can connect through the same WLAN via a laptop or iPad. These devices have no problem displaying web pages. I even went ahead and created a new TESTWLAN with no encyption but to no avail. Same results: laptops connect and display web pages and smart phones connect, gain IP but do not display web pages. Comes up page cannot be displayed. This matters not whether its an iPhone or Android platform.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased WUSB600N because I want to use the N speed of my WRT320N router. My laptop only has a built-in 802.11g network adapter. Kindly share your insgihtson why I only get 6.5 Mbps using my WUSB600N compared to 18.0Mbps using my builtin 802.11 g network adapter in my laptop? Too bad I can't use 5GHz as Nokia mobile phones that use our wireless connecion are only G capable. Even iPhone 4 cant fully use 5Ghz in 802.11n.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a CUCM BE environment with a number of remote users with 8961 phones connecting to an ASA 5501 via AnyConnect. The phones register fine and can make inbound/outbound calls as well as four digit dialing to other users at the corporate site.
The problem is when a remote user tries to four digit dial another remote phone. The called phone will ring but there is dead air once answered and then the line goes dead.
This sounds like a routing issue to me. How to get AnyConnect clients to be able to reach each other?
How WEP cracking works. I have a much better understanding now but it seems whatever programs I download and however close I get I always hit a wall somewhere. I am using windows 7 64 bit and my network adapters/cards are Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter and Broadcom Netlink(TM) Gigabit Ethernet. I am not sure if these are adequate. I was using Commlink and aircrack but not sure if they are compatible and which versions i should have installed. I got as far as the collecting packets stage but the packets that appeared said ENCRYPT which was not correct and then my computer went to blue screen adn shut down and I had to system restore.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm part of a Tech Support department of 50 located along the Gulf Coast. In years past we have found hurricanes and other disasters may have forced Engineers to work from home or out of hotel rooms for several weeks. Since that time we are now using VoIP phones that require a power over Ethernet (PoE) LAN connection. Along with the phone we already have an external power brick that we can take home that supplies the PoE LAN connection. However, that requires that you have access to the router so you can run a physical cable from the router to the power brick.
That's fine when you are at your own house and have access to your own router. But in the case of a hotel, you can't run a cable to the router. Many hotels have gone to wireless only and don't have a physical LAN jack to plug into. So I've been looking at something like the Netgear WNCE3001 Dual-Band Internet Adapter. That will supply a physical LAN connection from WiFi only. But it does not have PoE. So now if we are going to work from a hotel room, we need the VoIp phone, the power brick and the WiFi Internet adapter. 3 seperate items to lug around.
Is there such a device that would allow you to pickup a WiFi signal in a hotel room and has a physical LAN jack that is also capable of PoE? I could at least lose the power brick then.

View 19 Replies View RelatedSince moving house and starting a new internet connection with talk talk, my V5535 has been having problems with the WIFI. It will connect to the WIFI but always comes up as local access only. If I manually connect it to the Router using a data cable, I then have internet. I don't think the problem is the router (it's one supplied by talktalk) as my sony erricson Xperia phone has no problems picking up the WIFI and internet access. My WIFI still works correctly at my parents' house but just not at mine.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a T-Mobile hotspot (ZTE) yesterday. It can connect to the T-Mobile network and appears to be working fine. My Wii can connect wirelessly to the the hotspot, but my laptop can only connect to the internet through the USB cord (which it's really not supposed to, because that's supposed to be for charging the device). When I try to connect via wifi to my hotspot, my computer can detect the network. However, after I immediately enter my password, it says that it cannot connect. When I click "Diagnose the problem" it says there was a timeout.I have Windows Vista and one of the tech support people mentioned that Windows Vista sometimes has problems connecting with handshake devices (but he didn't know how to fix it). Another person said I should have about 20 seconds to type in my password, so it shouldn't be timing out so quickly. Is it something with my computer? I have a Compaq Presario CQ60. I had this same problem when I tried to connect to a friend's hotspot a couple weeks ago (I don't remember if it was also T-Mobile or another provider, though).
