I use right now with Ethernet connected to router.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running my laptop on Windows 7 Proffesional 32 bit and it won't let me search for a wireless connection on the Control Panel I think it might be a problem with the wireless switch at the bottom as it doesn't show the wireless sign on the laptop. I have also tried running the laptop on Ultimate 64 bit but the problem continued to persist.
View 12 Replies View RelatedFour weeks ago I bought a Dell Vostro 3550 notebook to use it at home. I conntected it via my wireless accesspoint to get access to data on my NAS, which is within my home network. Then I noticed that the connection is not stable, although the computer says "excellent signal". Whenever I access files via explorer on the NAS I loose connection from time to time and the reaction time is very slow (sometimes I have to wait seconds).During search for the reason I pinged directly the access point and saw unacceptable slow response with large variation. I checked the connection with an other computer (running XP), using same position. There it works fine (see below) - stable connection. It seems that the configuration of the access point does not work well with the configuration of the Dell computer - or an hardware fault on the Vostro. Below are the test data and my configuration.

I have Dell Vostro 1500, i was reinstalling my latop today, and when I try to install Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility, there is a error at the end of the installation "Driver is not installed, a problem with this connection has been detected" , the internet is not working.
View 2 Replies View RelatedToday I replaced my motherboard to fix the graphics card issue on my Vostro 1400. After installing the motherboard I installed the driver's from Dell's site for the networking card.
I get an error stating device driver/software was not successfully installed. I tried a restore point, that didn't work either. I tried the original driver disc that came with the laptop - same problem.
In device manager it is showing: broadcom netlink adapter fast ethernet #2 - does that mean it thinks I have more than one network card? I'm not sure what to do next. I can't access any wireless from that laptop, not even from a hard wire.
I'm running Windows 7 32 bit.
I've a Dell VOSTRO 1710. When I use an ethernet connection with my router, there is no problem. But when I try to have a wireless connection, all the wireless network of mine and of my neighbors are recognized, my WPA password too. Vista (32 bits) says I am connected but, when I try to reach a page on the web, get my e-mails or even ping an IP, I get no response. Note that I have other devices connected to that router which works without problem. I thought it was the driver of my Wifi card (Intel 4965agn) that does not work. Thus, I try to update (and even downgrade) them from Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN - Download Center. Nevertheless, it does not work. Note that it worked one week ago. The problem has suddenly appeared.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 10 Vostro 460s, the network cards are not being found on startup. You have to reboot the systems 3-4 times to get Windows to find the Network cards. All drivers are up to date. This may be related to a Windows update, since the machine were fine for a month or so until an Update came out.

When installing it says that it is looking for bluetooth devices but none are discoverable even though I have a Microsoft Bluetooth notebook 5000 mouse and a smartphone with bluetooth that are in discovery mode.I know the devices are discoverable because they are discovered on my wife's computer which is also a studio 1440.

Every time I play League of Legends, Rumble fighter, or Maplestory, about 20-30 minutes into the game, my laptop disconnects from my router. Then, when I try to reconnect, the router connection thing magically disappears from the settings. This forces me to restart my laptop. When I DO restart my laptop, the connection is there again. Everything is fine when I surf the web.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently received the blue screen and had to do a clean install of Windows XP on my Dell Vostro 1520. I then proceeded to install the Dell drivers and downloads in the order according to Dell's website. But the wireless driver continually gave me a Setup.rul 380 error, so I did a manual install of that. Unfortunately something is still incorrect. The internet connects, but the wireless icon at the bottom has a pop that says "Adapter Problem. Driver is not installed." I don't know a lot about computers and I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I can't figure this one out.

The wireless works beautifully while using Win 7, but when I switch to Win 8... the actual Fn+F2 wireless switch has no effect whatsoever! So I know the machine is OK, the network is OK, but what could be making the machine act differently under Windows 8? Device manager and details say the driver is up to date.. What do I look for next?? I don't think I'm going to be able to get a call through to Microsoft!!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Vostro laptop running windows 7. My ISP is a company called Scarlet which supply connection via an external modem complete with aerial. However, I am now trying to set the wireless connection up so that I can surf on the laptop and my girlfriend on her ipad in separate rooms. I currently haven't got as far as getting the laptop to work along with the modem and router, I think there may be an IP conflict. i want wireless router to work with an external wireless connection via my ISP?
