find the driver for those: wan miniport IP, wan miniport (IPv6), wan miniport network monitor all those three have a yellow exclamation on them. Wireless does not work, included lan. It used to work fine suddenly those guys display with a yellow exclamation. OS Win 7

I tried to reinstall the Wireless Network from program along with the CD application that came with Laptop. I also use limitless resources in order to have my Wireless Network to appear.
I use right now with Ethernet connected to router.
Im using Dell Inspiron 1440. recently upgraded from W7 home premium to W8 Pro. Im able to use my dell Bluetooth travel mouse with W8 pro but the mouse track wheel is not working and the side buttons too. im able to move the curser, use right click and left click. what should I do to make the side buttons and the mouse wheel to work in W8 Pro.

Every time I play League of Legends, Rumble fighter, or Maplestory, about 20-30 minutes into the game, my laptop disconnects from my router. Then, when I try to reconnect, the router connection thing magically disappears from the settings. This forces me to restart my laptop. When I DO restart my laptop, the connection is there again. Everything is fine when I surf the web.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Inspiron 1440, windows 7 which won't connect to the net (wireless). First some history, I have 3 computers, 2 laptops and a desktop. About a month ago, the laptop that isn't working now was working fine, but the other 2 computers didn't work (i.e., didn't connect to the net). I have ATT-U-verse. Called them and we changed the name of my network to get the other 2 working. Which they did. Now the Inspiron won't work. Of course, I changed the network access to the new one but it still won't work. I have tried deleting the network from the computer and selecting the router from the list that comes up, but when it detects my network in range, it won't ask for the security key it will simply try to connect as if it knows the key already, even though I have deleted it. I have also removed the battery and replaced and that won't work. One more thing, I took the laptop to work and it connected to the internet just fine.

This mouse connects via WiFi and you need no USB-port for a transmitter. Very practical - if it would work probably.First I installed the SW delivered with the mouse. During this installation, also the "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" was installed. The mouse connects via this adapter. And everything worked fine. The mouse was found, a connection was established and the mouse worked like a charm. Until I went to sleep. As usually, I hibernated the notebook. And after waking up the notebook from hibernate, the mouse did not work anymore. I found out it is because the "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" does not wake up correctly. After a reboot, everything works again. And if I use the HP software to reestablish the connection, I receive the error "SoftAP is not available".
I tried several things:I un-installed the "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" in the device manager and checked for new HW to install it again. But after it was installed again, it still did not work.In the device manager, I disabled "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" and enabled it again - but it stayed disabled.I updated the driver.I changed energy management, allowed the computer to switch of power of the adapter resp. disallowed that.Nothing I did worked. After hibernate, the "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" is "dead". Only a reboot works.The WiFi mouse is such a great Idea, but the "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" is such a mess.

My computer got a virus and I had to re-install everything. Now my Bluetooth is unable to detect any bluetooth devices. I have the latest driver for the Dell Wireless Bluetoothe 365 module. When installing it says that it is looking for bluetooth devices but none are discoverable even though I have a Microsoft Bluetooth notebook 5000 mouse and a smartphone with bluetooth that are in discovery mode.I know the devices are discoverable because they are discovered on my wife's computer which is also a studio 1440.

I called my ISP about this problem and they said that everything was fine with my router and that it might be a bad cable. I bought a new cable and it wasn't the cable. I called my dad's friend who works with computers and he said that he thought the NIC was bad. So we went to Staples and bought a Gigabit Ethernet PCI Adaptor, because that would fix the problem, well i installed all of the software and it didn't and we're stumped on what to do.

But the device shows limited connectivity and i can not use internet not even local access to laptop.
My observations - I found that the IP address and DNS of WiFi miniport adapter is 192.168.11.1 But the IP assigned to my other device is 169.XXX.XX.XX which is not in same subnet
So how to set the WiFi miniport adapter of my laptop to assign proper IP address(within subnet) to my other device. So that i can get rid of LIMITED CONNECTIVITY ISSUE .

I got a (one year old) Dell Inspiron 1545 and I'm using it always with wifi on to get connected to the net.Since a couple of days this Wifi connection often goes off and on (by itself) and I got no clue what it source of this problem is.My Eventlog says that it switches off very irregulary (between 3 and 10 minutes). I've installed the newest drivers and got the latest updates for the Wifi card and on my Windows Vista.

I had presumed that I could just get a usb dongle from the manufacturer of the router and take it from there.Only problem is that the dongle won't fit into the front port of my inpiron 588. It will fit in halfway but then the casing of the dongle hits the bottom of the CD drive.

I connect to the wifi using a Belkin wireless usb adaptor. The only way to reconnect is to reboot. I have tried everything I can find from updating drivers and moving the adpator to different ports.

It seems as if the Ethernet adapter on the laptop is not connected. I've tried troubleshooting by going into "Control Panel, Network Connections". The Ethernet icon says "Network Cable Unplugged, Realtex PCIe FE Family Controller".
I've tried the same Ethernet connection with another Dell laptop and it works just fine.
As I said, it seems as if the Ethernet adapter on my laptop is not hooked up at all.
I have a Dell Inspiron One 2320 with a WiFi problem.
I say this because my old Toshiba laptop, using my house wireless router, achieves 20MB/s on a download speedtest and the Inspiron happily does this when directly connected to the router.
I have downloaded the latest WiFi driver etc.
