I have an Inspiron 1440, windows 7 which won't connect to the net (wireless). First some history, I have 3 computers, 2 laptops and a desktop. About a month ago, the laptop that isn't working now was working fine, but the other 2 computers didn't work (i.e., didn't connect to the net). I have ATT-U-verse. Called them and we changed the name of my network to get the other 2 working. Which they did. Now the Inspiron won't work. Of course, I changed the network access to the new one but it still won't work. I have tried deleting the network from the computer and selecting the router from the list that comes up, but when it detects my network in range, it won't ask for the security key it will simply try to connect as if it knows the key already, even though I have deleted it. I have also removed the battery and replaced and that won't work. One more thing, I took the laptop to work and it connected to the internet just fine.
Every time I play League of Legends, Rumble fighter, or Maplestory, about 20-30 minutes into the game, my laptop disconnects from my router. Then, when I try to reconnect, the router connection thing magically disappears from the settings. This forces me to restart my laptop. When I DO restart my laptop, the connection is there again. Everything is fine when I surf the web.
find the driver for those: wan miniport IP, wan miniport (IPv6), wan miniport network monitor all those three have a yellow exclamation on them. Wireless does not work, included lan. It used to work fine suddenly those guys display with a yellow exclamation. OS Win 7
cannot find a button to enable wifi on wife's dell 1440. do not know the combination of function keys to enable wifi. self diagnostic says wifi is turned off.

I used Dell Inspiron 1440. about 1 month ago, my Wireless Hardware along with the Wireless Network has been missing for unfortunate reason. I tried to reinstall the Wireless Network from program along with the CD application that came with Laptop. I also use limitless resources in order to have my Wireless Network to appear.

Im able to use my dell Bluetooth travel mouse with W8 pro but the mouse track wheel is not working and the side buttons too. im able to move the curser, use right click and left click. what should I do to make the side buttons and the mouse wheel to work in W8 Pro.

I run a webserver that has worked fine for a while. Recently, I've been getting calls from people who say that the page is no longer pulling up. There were several reported cases, but no specifics. Finally I talked to someone today.He said they changed their ISP to AT&T U-Verse and that's when the problem started. When trying to go to our webpage, his browser times out. bought a new Dell Inspiron 15R laptop online and received it today.
It has Windows 8 preloaded, I am not able to connect to my WiFi network, while I am able to connect using my other devices.
The WiFi network in getting detected and the signal strength is full as well, when I give the password and click connect, it tries to verify and connect for a long time, finally say "Can't connect to this network".

When I connect to the wi-fi with my iPod Touch, it works fine, no problems. i have a Inspiron 15R (N5010) laptop and I have problems connecting with my wifi connection. i'm not able to find any network connections available but there are plenty in my building and i cannot connect to my network using my friend's laptop. I have turned on the wifi button which is placed on top of the keyboard on one of my function keys, i have noticed an exclamation mark next to my wireless adapter in the device manager menu and it says the device is not working properly. I have a Dell Inspiron 1318 Laptop. It uses Vista with Service Pack 2. It does work with the wireless router at my house. It will not connect to the internet at a Bloodbank I visit twice a week. It will connect to their wireless network, and gets a strong signal, but no internet. Other people at this facility seen to have no problem connecting to the internet. I tried downloading updated drivers for my wireless card, but it said I already had the latest drivers. I have turned off my firewall and changed to the lowest security settings. I don't really know much about computers, but I have a Dell inspiron 1545 and it fell off my bed by accident a while back so now I notice glitches here and there, but recently it just doesn't connect to Internet anymore, and I know my wifi is fine because I'm using my iPad right now to write this. When I go to Network and Sharing Center it shows a drawing of my PC and then a green line to "Identifying" and a line with an X to Internet. It also says my access is local only.

I have a Dell 1750 inspiron T4300W7 laptop which worked fine until one night whilst connected to internet via a 3 dongle it just cut off. I have used the dongle many times on this laptop without issue and the dongle still works on my other laptop fine. I wanted my latptop to be reset so I could give it to a friend. Everything worked fine before I ran the OS disk. Now I try to connec to the internet and it wont work. The message "this computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured" popped up. So I tried to plug in a an ethernet cable and it still wont let me connect to the internet! In my device manager bar under other devices a network controller is there with a yellow excplanation point. So I was going to go to the dell link provided in another forum and update the drivers, but I cant do that if I cant connect to the internet at all! My laptop is a dell inspiron 1545.
When ever I open the lid to the laptop it takes 5-10 mins before it will automatically connect to a network. Diagnose this network does not find anything, nor provides any troubleshooting. Typically if I open the network connections center and disable the wireless, let it sit for 30 secs or so, and re-enable, it will finally connect.
I know it's not my router, as the laptop does the same thing at work, and multiple different friends house.
I've confirmed that DHCP is set to automatic connect. I've also checked Device Manager/Network adapters/ and unchecked the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
I just got Windoes 7 and it has a Fax icon to go to. It want to knoe if I am connected to a moden or network service.I don't really wnt to buy a $200.00 modem to replace the HP 920 Fx machine that is going to some good person.
