Cisco Wireless :: 5508 / Is It Safe To Cancel Image Download
Jul 15, 2012I started a download to a 5508 to upgrade to 7.2.110, but the connection across a vpn is slow and taking too long. Can I cancel the download w/o corrupting the current image and/or setup?I don't see a cancel button anywhere in the gui and don't want do it unless the controller will handle an incomplete download correctly.

Aug 27, 2012I was provided with a new wireless modem from our internet service provider (the old modem was antiquated and needed updating). After this, i have been unable to connect to the internet on my laptop on a wireless basis. I can search for the modem via the usual means and seemingly connect, but when i am connected it states that i have 'Local Access' only and i am unable to access the internet at all. I am also unable to connect to the internet on a wireless basis when in safe mode.I am however, able to connect using a Ethernet cable from the modem.My laptop is fairly old but it is fine for our needs and thus i do not really want to change it unless totally necessary. I just wonder if it is something relatively simple that i am overlooking?My son also has a more modern laptop, and he tells me that he can use the internet via our new modem without any problems. Which would suggest there is nothing wrong with the modem.The operating system is Windows Vista, if that makes any difference.

May 6, 2012basically my wireless speeds are around 0.5mb when i do a speedtest on windows, however on safe mode it will be 12mb. there's obviously some sort of conflict which i have struggled to identify.
here is what i tried
- fresh installs, although at the start the speeds are fine but once i install more drivers/programs it will do it
- installed different wireless drivers
- disabled certain processes/services

I'm having a problem with my TL-WR1043ND becoming non-responsive after a few days of uptime.This is actually my second 1043. I bought it because my first one (hardware version 1.4) has been rock solid -- I've not had to reboot it for over 2 years. (I don't have its firmware version handy at the moment, but I recall it's from 2010.)I needed this new router for a second location, but it has not been functioning correctly. It is hardware version 1.10 and shipped with the latest firmware, 120405. is it safe to downgrade the 1.10's firmware to the one that's running on the 1.4? Or is the hardware sufficiently different (e.g. different bootloaders)

Now, I am on Hughesnet for internet service, can not get on DSL, wont happen already asked. Now, I am running a router, only way my wife and son can access the internet. They have laptops windows 7 and build-in Wireless Cards. I have a desktop windows 7. My updates are scheduled in the morning hours about 5AM so their is no reason for the computer to update. Same goes for my wife and son, their are set for early morning hours as well. Computer Can Only Connect In Safe Mode
Aug 29, 2012My computer came with Mcaffe pre installed on the laptop however did not stop me getting the police e crime unit virus about three weeks ago. To fix this I booted in safe mode and did a system restore to around 3 months before I got the virus. I then installed avast antivirus and did a scan and boot scan which came back with nothing which suggested to me it had gone. This then meant I had both mcaffe and and avast running at the same time. Then until 3 weeks later the internet suddenly stopped working whilst I was on the internet. My laptop sees my router and says it is connected to it but says the router is not connected to the internet. This is false as every other device in the house can connect. However I then tried my computer in safe mode with networking and it can connect to the internet.
