Cisco :: CDR Application Which Will Allow User - Friendly Presentation Of CDR Records

Can anyone recomend a CDR application which will allow user-friendly presentation of the CDR records and to be saved historically. I see there are a good number out there but not having used any I am hoping someone has some first hand experience with them. I'm going to see about giving this a go url... for my CUCME system to see how it is. Basic call tracking is all that is really needed. Email reports and costing is an added bonus.

Distribute 4 ISP In Single Network?

Nov 7, 2012

I've 4 ISP in my office. In my network all the machines are connected through unmanaged switches. Now if I need to shift any one machine to other ISP then I need to change his IP.Is the following possible:

I connect all the four ISP's to a machine(say Server), then I take out a wire and connect it to the switch so that I can distribute all the ISP into the network. Now on the basis of the MAC Address I can change the assign any ISP to any of the other machine in the network. Also is it possible that I can monitor their data usage as well as can CAP there bandwidth.

Cisco Switching/Routing :: Create A Route-map For An EIGRP Distribute List On A N7K?

Cisco Switching/Routing :: 3750 - How To Distribute Static Route Via OSPF

Mar 26, 2013

We have a 14 offfice MPLS network.  All offices have Cisco 3750s running OSPF which replicate route tables via our providers BGP peers.   I am introducing a new network in our SF office which is not directly connected so in SF we have a static route "ip route 172.16.20.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.100.1. I want our other offices to learn this route route via OSPF so that they know how to get to the new network.  My problem is that of course remote sites do not see our static routes and i  have tried to add this via ospf but the switch will not propagate this route because it is not directly connected to the switch in SF.

Dual-band 3602s Connected To Controller - Distribute Load Across Radios And Spectrum

Apr 17, 2012

I'm setting up a Cisco wireless mesh. The APs are all dual-band 3602s connected to a controller. So, let's say I'm broadcasting both 2.4 and 5.1GHz at the same time for the same SSID. Which frequency does a wireless client connect through, assuming the client supports both? Is there a way to default to one (say 5.1GHz) then fall back to the other, or is it strictly a matter of signal strength? (In which case, from the testing I've done, 2.4GHz almost always has a stronger signal strength.)

Or, should I broadcast separate networks (e.g. "work-network24" vs "work-network51") and manually authenticate/authorize against the appropriate band based on how I want to distribute load across the radios and spectrum?

Building A Firewall From Scratch Using C?

Jun 30, 2011

I am trying to develop a firewall from scratch in linux environment using C. Actually its more of a Unified Threat Management sysytem .which features to include like antispam, content filtering, vulnerability analyzing, etc.I have exactly 1 year to complete this project which features can be coded completely in time. Actually I have broken the process of development in 4 stages namely :

1. Capture the packet (using libcap)

2. Break the packet into headers and data (using libpcap)

3. Analyze the headers and data and make a decision

4. ACCEPT or DROP the packet

Its the third step that will depend on the features which are included in the project. I plan to code using the UNIX Socket API.

Laptop Won't Connect To Wi- Fi In Certain Building?

Jan 16, 2013

Alright, so I have a Dell xps 12 running windows 8.On my school's campus, there are two wifi options. One is secure with a login, the other is unsecured but with a Web login. Normally I connect to the secure one and have no problem.

However, in one building I've encountered issues connecting. My computer will pick up the signal for both options (and says there is strong signal) , then try to connect to the secure one. It will say "connection is taking longer than usual" and then fail to connect, then say no networks available. I tried resetting the network adapters and it picks up the signal again for a moment, try to connect, and then same problem again.

I can see other people in the room connected to the Internet with no issue. My phone also connects with no problems, and has full signal. I have no idea why my computer won't connect.

Multistory Building LAN Using Open It?

May 10, 2012

This lab teaches the application performance of two different networkarchitectures: Daisy Chain and Collapsed Backbone Network. The bookshows a collapsed backbone data network in which there is a core switch inthe basement equipment room. The core switch is linked directly to aworkgroup switch on each floor. Another option is to link the switches in adaisy chain. In this approach, the basement core switch is linked directly tothe first floor switch, the first floor switch is linked directly to the second floorswitch, and so forth. This lab shows the application latency introduced by connecting buildingswitches in different ways.

OverviewOperations building has 10 floors, each havingmany users connected to a 10Base-T workgroup switch in the telecommunications closet. The users share an Oracle server and seven fileand print servers in the basement. In Scenario 1, the switches on each floor are daisy chained to the core switchin the basement. We will see that this daisy chain approach introduces highapplication latency to users on the highest floor. In Scenario 2, the daisy chain topology is retained, but the core switch ismoved to the fifth floor. We will see that this reduces latency on the highestfloor but increases it on the bottom floor. In Scenario 3, the core switch is kept in the basement, but ollapsedbackbonetopology is used, in which the core switch in the basement is linked directly to the workgroup switch on each floor.

Several users are connected to a switch on each of the 10 floors. The share an Oracle server and 7 File, Print, and Email servers in the basement. The users on different floors are running a 2 Tier Oracle application. We willstudy the performance of this application. And showed me the error message in pictures (3) I asked the doctor and she told me to change the Switch name (located in the red box in picture) but still error constant I think the error is due to the type of Switch (core switch) or the type of link between the (core switch) and (7 File Print & Email Ervers)

Implementing / Planning / Building A LAN

Mar 25, 2012

I have to propose/design a network system. It has 350 computer terminals/workstations out of which 300 of them are divided into two separate networks while the other 50 are to be on another network. So I assume I'd need 3 networks (or LANs) I guess (all connected ofcourse)So far I've inferred it needs a mail server, a file server, a print server, a DHCP server to assign IP addresses (C class and private ones ofcourse) and a web proxy server. Also I thought a fast Ethernet LAN network might be ideal here but I'm not quite sure on that (nor have I ascertained what sort of topology or hardware to use).

Laptop Will Not Connect To Building's Router

Sep 30, 2012

I have Windows 7 with an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 Network Adapter. It can be picky about what routers it connects to but usually it stops being stubborn after a few minutes. Now it won't connect to my building's internet (while my other computer and devices can). My laptop can access any other wifi and internet. Sometimes it can connect to the WIFI but gets no internet and sometimes I cannot connect to the WiFi at all.

1. Sometimes I'm able to connect to router and just not have internet. Sometimes I can't connect at all.
2. I deleted network profile multiple times. Made no difference.
3. Disabled network adapter and re-enabled - Didn't work
4. Updated Net Adapt driver. - Nope
5. Anytime I connect to router the security is set incorrectly to WEP. Troubleshooting tells me to adjust this which I did to WPA2-Personal. Still still couldn't access internet.
6. Tried to ipconfig /renew and ipconfig /release in cmd but says "no operation can be performed on wireless network connection while it has its media disconnected" - so nope
7. Tried a se[erate USB network adapter - No difference. This actually surprised me, I figured it must be my Intel 6200 but alas it isn't.

My biggest hurdle is I cannot access the router. I have to figure this out on my laptop and I have no Ethernet chord ability either. Every forum post I read about wifi issues people always tinker with their router and it fixes it.

Building A Wireless Network For 130+ Users?

Apr 8, 2011

designing a wireless network for an apartment complex. The complex is shaped like like an rectangle, fairly small, maybe 100 feet on the ends and 300 feet long on the sides. There are 130 people that we are assuming may have about 3 devices each that they will connect to the wireless network, potentially simultaneously, as this is in a college environment. We have plenty of bandwidth and down/up speed. We are running 30 megabit down and 10 up. I am planning on having a router with two access points centrally located in an apartment and extending the network out with antennas in each direction from the access points with Omni directional antennas. The Access points that I am planning on using are Cisco WAP200 with maybe a Linksys router, as the router should not have more than 10 connections on it. I need something that will not crash after 10-15 users connect to it because it jams up from overload.

Whole Building Wants To Share The Internet Connection?

Mar 9, 2011

I am a novice to networking. I have a Internet Modem in the basement and two floors of computers. Each floor has its own wired ethernet network that has one wire in the middle of the network reaching down to the basement. The whole building wants to share the internet connection. What devices do you suggest for the basement and for each "hub" on the other floors?Originally we planned to put a router in the basement and share a wifi signal and put an ethernet switch on each floor. But the wifi in the basement has less range than placing the wifi on the top floor. I was contemplating puting a wired router in the basement and a wireless router on the top floor. Will that work?If not we could have wireless routers on each floor, but will they cause interference with each other? Can one be set in the basement to operate on one channel, while the other set on the top floor to operate on another channel?

Cisco :: Building A Multi Site Network?

Jan 18, 2013

I wish to build a test rig in my office that will act as 2 separate geographic locations with a router at each location connecting to a make believe MPLS kind of network. I then wish for these sites to communicate with each other but obviously be on separate IP ranges .I know each site would have a router and I assume that there ideally should be 2 corresponding (provider) routers on the MPLS network. What I do not know is how the the routers at each site should connect physically to its partner router at the MPLS and also how the two MPLS routers would connect together. For example, if I wanted to later scale up to have 4 geographical sites how would the 4 MPLS routers connect together (using a switch?)?
