View 3 Repliestoday my Belkin 7050 wifi adapter arrived.I went through the install procedure from the cd,and when asked to plug in the adapter,I got the message asking for a notebook card,which I haven't got.It then told me that the drivers aren't installed.The device isn't showing in device manager.I called Belkin support but all the could suggest was that the device was to try it in another computer.I am unable to do this because the communal computer needs administrator rights to install programs etc.

So, like any normal and quite capable PC user, I went to the Dell site and entered the Service Tag. So far so good. However, no driver to be found for my Wireless component. Believe me, I attempted to install ALL Communication and Network drivers available. The message I got in the wizard was always "Installation not possible. Please contact your administrator". I tried to phone, got stuck in a waiting line for 11 minutes 35 seconds, which I mentioned before ripped me off for €10 and then the line went dead. All mails have been so far left unanswered. Angry doesn't come close.
Without telling me to go to Microsoft or Dell or any other obscure website which then leads me back to Dell, where I can get the proper WiFi (WLAN for you modern machine users..) Network controller driver for my notebook, which is a Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook.
I have an HP G62-340US Notebook with Windows 7. I keep getting the error message "The Windows Wireless service is not running on this computer". My laptop cannot see any wireless connections, but I can connect to the internet via ethernet cable.

I go to my Internet options and my house's Internet router doesn't show up. I remember a long time ago I was clearing space on my computer because its and old one and it runs slow Because I don't have much memory and I might have accidently deleted the linksis progam / installation. And I have no way of re-intalling it. I think the only way of re-installing it is using the linkage disc but I lost it in some boxes packed in storage.

So this is a new Wireless-G Notebook Adapter(WPGC54G v1.2) I just got in the mail today. I went to the linksys/cisco website and they only have version 1, 2, 3, etc. Mine says 1.2 so I tried version 1. After installing and following all steps it said the software that connects was inactive.
After searching the internet a bit I found a thread stating v1.2 is version 2. So, I downloaded version 2 and ran that. Now the software isn't inactive but it doesn't "connect" in the linksys software, show any wireless devices, or do anything. I went into device manager and found the wireless card, updated drivers manually, and selected the folder I downloaded from linksys website to search for update drivers. It all ran fine and said drivers were installed. Still won't work. LINK light is not on card, POWER is.
Using a Toshiba Tecra 9000. So my last attempt... I uninstalled everything and stuck the card in and let windows recognize it. Selected manual install, went to the folder I downloaded for ver. 2 to search for drivers. Said everything installed and did drivers successfully but windows says "wireless network unavailable."
I have a Notebook HP Pavillion DV6 3113sa with Windows 7 64-bit My Broadcom Bluetooth and Wireless Combo Card is not being detected. On device manager> Network adapters I cannot see my the wireless adapter. Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller is in the device manager though. Also I can access internet with an ethernt cable and my phone and other computer can detect my wireless router. The wireless light is also continually orange and will not change. So neither bluetooth or wireless is working. I have down loaded the 2 Broadcom drivers from the HP website but neither fix the problem. However the bluetooth driver says something like 'Driver failed to install because no bluetooth device was found'.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Inspiron M5110 Laptop and was having some trouble staying connected to my internet so this morning I decided I would try and update the drivers. I have uninstalled the Wireless and Blue Tooth drivers and reinstalled them, but now, it won't even TRY to connect at all. In the bottom right corner, there's a red x over the wireless bars, and says No Connections are available. Before , it would have a spinning circle while trying to connect, but it doesnt have that at all anymore. My Ethernet connection is working fine, I even uninstalled and reinstalled that driver (REALTEK) and its working with no problems.
If I run IPCONFIG, the wireless adapter doesn't even show up anymore. I've tried resetting, disabling, anything I could think of. I tried several versions too of the drivers, but nothing is working. Right now, I removed it, so I have a yellow exclamation mark next to Network Controller in my Device Settings. My hardware ID for the adapter is PCIVEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_02051028
I think from the above info, I believe the wireless adapter belongs to Atheros.how I can get this thing to even attempt to connect to a network? I'm dead in the water...

I had installed a program called 'motion joy' and play with the software... right after i reboot my laptop, the sound icon and the network icon on the system tray are crossed out. I can see yellow exclamation mark on the drivers icons on device manager.
I made an attempt to roll back those corrupted drivers but nothing happen. Even when i try to update it, it says i had the latest driver. ;( I tried to uninstall the driver but the those driver files at 'system32/driver' are still there. I even tried to run driver CD that comes along with my laptop, and when I run the installer, it states that all the drivers are install.
so bascially now my laptop boot, run program BUT can't access internet , all USB ports are unavailable,and no sound at all.
