View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my brand new WUSB54GC and I can't install it. My operating system is Windows Me and every program on the CD accompanying my new adapter tells me "This version of Windows won't work" or words to that effect. My machine realizes something is there--indeed it knows there is a Linksys wireless adapter and even tells me it was manufactured by Cisco Co.--but it says NDIS cannot load the driver. Do I need a different driver?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWell one day i went onto my gaming PC and started playing, it randomly restarted and did some random windows check while starting. Then when i finally logged on i had no internet connection, my computer didnt sense there being a cable plugged in (Wired connection. The orange light wasn't on) So i figured i should just reinstall windows anyway (Blue screens, ect) After i reinstall i have the same issues. I have moved it to a different room and still the same thing. If i can't fix it then i plan to just buy a USB wireless but i would like to see what others think what i should do before i go making hasty decisions.
The computer say "Windows could not find a driver for your network adapter" I have tried many things i have found on this forum and nothing. So maybe a link to a driver? my Router is a Linksys WRT54GL and has always worked.
i tried down loading drivers but computer still says needs cd.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed this adapter, and it's connected to a wireless-N router right now (WRT102N), the problem I'm having is it's not sending out internet connection once I boot up the next day. It'll work once I click reconnect to connect to the network again, but still, I don't think it should be doing that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had installed the wusb54gc wireless adapter on my desktop and I have not used the computer in a year. When I tried to connect to the internet I couldn't. the adapter was in the network, now it is not. Now all I get is unknown device. I downloaded the drivers from Linksys removed the unknown device from the usb listing and used the utility to unstall the adapter drivers. Followed the instruction to install new drivers but after restarting the computer the only thing that is there is the unknown device. On this computer the OS is Me.

This router is a Linksys G router and all the devices will work with it accept the one with this wireless card., I do want to change to the N router eventually.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to install the drivers for the adapter normally, Windows 7x64 gives me a message that the device name "Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter" already exists and is in use, preventing me from installing the wireless driver properly. In order to get around it, I changed all "Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter" fields into "Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter B" in the netr28ux.inf file to make the driver install under a different name.I tried everything I can to remove all evidence of linksys drivers from my computer, uninstalling and removing driverstore with pnputil.exe, but I cannot seem to find the originating files to uninstall. For now the way I edited the netr28ux.inf file works, but I'd rather be able to install the driver as intended.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to set up a wireless connection on an HP desktop that runs Vista. I recently purchased a Belkin N150 Wireless USB Adapter (Version F9L1001). My computer, first, will not run the software CD automatically; I have to find it and double-click on it. Then, after the drivers are supposedly installed and I restart according to the instructions, my computer is unable to find them when I plug in the adapter. Additionally, when I try to start the driver program myself, it refuses to go. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver software four times and I have gotten the following same results every time. Also, I do not have a router installed yet, as we were told initially that all we would need to use to connect the desktop to our wireless Internet was the adapter
