I have installed manually drivers for wusb54gc v3, but the wireless manager still write error 211. I do see the adapter in device manager and it's writen than it's working, bat still the manager doesn't work and ican't see any net. OS Win7 32bit.

Recently purchased refurb AE1000, it failed to work in Win7(AsusSabertooth I7 system) showing up but never enabling regardless of what I tried. I tested it in an old notebook I have under XP and worked flawlessly. So, I then tested it in XP mode on the I7 and it worked as well. I've used the latest Cisco drivers but no luck under Windows 7. It obviously isn't the hardware?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just bought this wireless usb today and attempted 2-3 times to be able to connect with my router (D-Link's DIR-601) but it for some reason failed to do so, until the little usb didn't have its green light flashing anymore... and when i reconnected it to my Windows XP it rang its error sound... and I kept having this message from the Wireless Wizard that it's not connected appropriately or something...and that i have to run the setup wizard again.

At first attempt, I followed the instruction on the CD. It took forever, and ended up giving me the notorious "Error 211".
I then tried the different solutions. First this one: [URL] The difference however being that the card indeed was found and identified properly by the device manager. Installed the downloaded drivers manually, but if I remember correctly (this was a few hours ago) it timed out and I got a message the device wasn't properly installed.
[URL] Here I couldn't even perform the first step, since I couldn't even remove the drivers! The process of uninstalling drivers gets stuck, and I waited for over an hour, and eventually decided to just rip the USB dongle out. That stopped the uninstalling process. Refitted the USB dongle in the computer, and the network device showed up the same way as it did before.
So, what apperas to be the case is that the device seems to have the proper drivers installed, but for some reason it cannot communicate properly with the computer. I can see it in the device manager; I can see the properties and even change the settings. However, I cannot uninstall it, remove it (with the Remove USB Device dialogue) or access it in any other way - it becomes completely unresponsive and if anything happens, it times out. The card does not show up in the list of avaliable network devices. The blue diode on the dongle lights, and sometimes flashes as if it was working.

I have spent over 6 hours trying to download the driver for the wusb54gsc ver. 2 software for win7 x64. Your us site is taking over 20 minutes to show it's pages (Sometimes over 40 mins, get more servers!) but the uk site is quick. I search for "wusb54gsc" on Bing and all the sites give me drivers for everything but the 54gsc. Your site (uk) only gave me the user guides! The last time your software decided to just disappear I found it in less than a half hour! I'm very upset link or URL to download the driver from or are you restricting access to it.

I just wanted to note that the 3.2.7 driver obtained from Windows Update doesn't work well, drops connections and takes longer to establish a connection. I've tried to update twice and each time I go back to the older driver.Can someone at Linksys examine the performance of this driver?

When Windows first starts, the adapter is not working properly and fails to connect to any networks, no matter how long I wait. If I unplug it and plug it back in after Windows is already running, I do not have this issue. This also does not occur when "restarting" the machine; only when turning the machine off and then back on.

When I tried to connect to the internet I couldn't. the adapter was in the network, now it is not. Now all I get is unknown device. I downloaded the drivers from Linksys removed the unknown device from the usb listing and used the utility to unstall the adapter drivers. Followed the instruction to install new drivers but after restarting the computer the only thing that is there is the unknown device. On this computer the OS is Me.

I deleted the drivers and re-installed them and now it is saying it cannot renew the IP address. how to get this connected again? When I look at the hardware under device manager it says it is working properly. In order to get around it, I changed all "Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter" fields into "Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter B" in the netr28ux.inf file to make the driver install under a different name.I tried everything I can to remove all evidence of linksys drivers from my computer, uninstalling and removing driverstore with pnputil.exe, but I cannot seem to find the originating files to uninstall.For now the way I edited the netr28ux.inf file works, but I'd rather be able to install the driver as intended.

Where I can find a driver for:WMP54g v2 for Vista SP2 32bit It used to work just fine, until I recently reinstalled Vista (and installed all the updates) and now my internet connection is "limited." This means that it connects, but is extremely slow and the connection goes in and out.Here are some random notes about my problem:
Nothing is disabled, there are not any conflicts, and the problem remains even if I restore the OS back to restore point that I created right after reinstalling Vista (and before doing anything else).If I hook the computer directly up to my netgear router via cable, Windows Update will download and install a more recent version of said driver (no improvement).Other laptops in the house have no problems with the wifi. I have turned off both my cable modem and wifi router several times.The adapter does connect to the internet, and the signal strength is "excellent", but if drill down to the properties of the connection, it says that IPV4 is connected to the internet, but IPV6 is "limited." This then results in a very weak connection to the internet that goes in and out. I have tried unchecking IPV6 per some recommendations, but that did not work. I have tried resetting everything (winsock, etc) via command prompt. Firewall is off, no antivirus software

I've tried switching it to all of my USB ports, and nothing is working!
