I was gifted with a Roku for my tv & in order to set it up I need the WEP# from my Cisco Linksys wireless router, but I don't know where to find it. My brother's wireless router has the WEP # right on the label but I don't see one on the Cisco Linksys info label
this might sound straight forward, but every other pc or console can find and connect to my router. This issue seems to happen about once every few months, sometimes it comes back by itself and reconnects completely fine.
There isn't a "user limit" on our router.Wireless adapter is dell wireless 1505 draft 802.11n wlan mini-card.
Have restarted PC and uninstalled and reinstalled the card.I tried to set the i.p address to static but it says "adapter disconnected" so won't allow me to edit any settings, despite it being able to find neighbour's wireless very easily.

I have a wireless router AOpen AOI-893. It works fine on my laptop, but I bought a new handheld Cruz tablet and when I try to connect to WiFi , the only strong signal seems to be a "default" one. It asks for a password, which I'm unable to come up with. I've tried all of the ones I usually use, plus 1234, admin, etc. No luck. Either I'm barking up the wrong tree entirely by trying the "default" , or I need to know how to find a password. I'm a computer illiterate.
My PC has a wieless card in it and last night the internet went off and then I wouldn't find my router at all, just everyone elses.I tried resetting the router, unplugging it an leaving it for a while, then resetting my PC. Tried unplugging the wireless card and plugging back in. Made sure I have latest drivers. Disabled and enable the card.I then tried plugging in an external belkin adapter in the usb and that worked. There are 2 other PC's in the house and they are both connecting to the internet fine. But I tested an old laptop we have and that didn't pick up the router either.I went on the pc in the other room next to mine and tried changing the channel it was on from 12 to 5 and it actually worked now my pc can find my router (???)But we've been having alot of issues lately with bad internet on certain channels etc.I don't really understand why channel 5 would work but channel 12 doesnt? We are experiencing more latency on that channel too.
I did not put a wep code/passphrase in my router when asked if i wanted it secure. I said yes and router was set up secure but I don't know the code. How do i find it?
I have reset and rebooted my netgear wireless router. it told me set up was successful yet even though it tells me I am connected I still am unable to access the internet. It also shows an exclamation over my connection bars. How can i fix this? This all started when I was trying to access my router from a new laptop. I could not remember my security key. I reset and erased what I had stored. Have made a new but still no internet access.
I am trying to hook up a wireless printer to my HP windows 7 PC. During set-up mode, the printer asks for a "WEP KEY CODE". I took the one off the bottom of the router, but printer is still saying that I FAILED the security check.
We bought our Linksys E2000 in the summer and went to set it up but something came up... Now we are trying to set it up but cannot find our WPA key... Where can we find this?
I'm trying to setup Xbox live for my Xbox 360. I have the WRT150N wireless router and just got the wireless adapter that plugs into the 360. It said the adapter couldnt pick up the signal then i realized i needed to enter the WPA key from my wireless router. I checked the information on the router and it only gives me the serial number and MAC address. How I can find out what the WPA key is for the router??
I recently got an EA4500 from a friend and when I tried to run the Cisco Connect CD on my MacBook it gets to 25% and then stops and says it can't find a router. I've reset, powercycled, unplugged, plugged, searched, and searched but I cant seem to get it to find the router.
Make and Model Cisco DPQ3212 (Modem)Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit (Router)So when I first got the router and modem and hooked it all up everything worked. Then the inter got shut off for a day then came back on and now the only way I can use it is by Ethernet cord. This would be fine but, unfortunately the Xbox in in the living room nowhere near the router. I have tried power resets and everything else the companies of both tell you to try but nothing is working.
I am attempting to setup a router with another vendor, but I am not wanting to give full access to the network just a couple IP addresses, most routers you can setup an VPN IP Range, but I can't find that setting on this Cisco WRVS4400N.
