Switch: WS-C3750X-48P (Stack with 2 Members)
IOS: 12.2(58)SE2
Lic: IPBASEK9
[Code]....
Since i added another Member to the Stack, i'm facing the following problem: When i login with my tacacs user account, i will not be asked for the password. The same thing is for the tacacs account of my colleague, after entering the username he is logged in. It seems for me, that the passwords are cached only for this Switch.
There is a way to block access to a website by password protecting it through my linksys router, which is one of thoe wrt54gs. I know I can completely block access of a website and can restrict the viewing hours of facebook at certain times through the router admin IP site but was wondering if it was possible to make it so you have to use a password to view said certain site. If there isn't is there any way maybe through a program or do I have to go through my ISP to see if they can do what I am asking for.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an e2000 wireless router. I have the latest software version for the Cisco software.I have noticed that Cisco sets up the same password to access the router setup page as the wireless password..Anyone that connects to the main SSID will be able to connect to the setup page at 192.168.1.1...I know that I can change the password in the linksys setup page to whatever I want, but then when I open the Cisco software, it wants me to change the password to match what the administrator password is.Don't they realize that a wireless password is different than the Administrator password to access the router settings?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have tried multiple times to hard reset my Wireless G WRT54G ver.2 router, but have had no success. I held the reset for 15 sec, 30 sec, 2 min, etc and also tried holding it and then unplugging it and then plugging it back in. I've tried everything that I have seen suggested. My problem is that I don't know what the password is to access my router's web utility thing and I need to change the IP address. With every reset attempt, I hope that the default admin password will work, but sadly no.

The problem is that for some reason when I try to connect my moms computer to the router it can only connect to the guest router and when I try to connect to the regular router it just fails even when I use the correct password. I have tried uninstalling the driver and re-installing it for the usb wifi adapter for my moms computer (NetGear N150 USB Adapter) and its nothing works. Her computer by the way is an Acer Windows XP SP3 machine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had this same problem. When I clicked to connect on the wireless router with a new computer, instead of asking for the password (as most routers would) it asks for the PIN. The it takes me through to a strange page where it asks me to enter the name of the network and suggests the name of my computer as the name of the network. Once I chose a name it then connected locally buy not to the Internet and then disconnected my other computer from the Internet too. I tried thecomputerguy's suggestion but when I click on Wi-Fi Protected Set Up" it asks me for a password before I can access custom settings. It then won't accept the router password i had originally created, the pin or any of the other codes on the bottom of the router. It was weird-almost as if entering the router pin from my new computer overwrite the previous settings. The router has an installation cd which I didn't use when trying to connect the new computer-not sure if this has caused the problem?
