I have a toshiba 2010 windows 7 laptop, and like two days ago it wouldnt connect to my wifi. i keep going to network and sharing but my network wont come up everyone elses does though. ive tried to fix problem but it just keeps saying connect to a network..or plug in ethernet.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just configured a 2 computers into a routers and and connected them to each other. My computer is them connected to one of the routers(configured PCs). The computer uses the default gateway of the router interface it is connected to. A ping to the default gateway repplies positively. A ping to the second interface to the same router goes successful but a ping to the first interface of the second router gives the "request time out" respond and a ping to the second interface of the second router gives the "destination host unreachable" respond.

I haven't changed anything and none of my roommates or landlord has done anything. When I try to "diagnose" the problem I get the notice that there is a problem with the adapter. I have tried disabling everything and restarting it. The wireless switch is on. The security info is all correct and we have tried the restarting of the router.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running Win 7, 64 bit on a Toshiba X505.My internal card no longer sees any networks (Realtek RTL8191se) even though DevMgr says it's running with current drivers which I've updated.I bought and installed a USB wireless dongle with the same results. My Ethernet connection works fine.IPCONFIG doesn't seem to recognize the card.I have a good strong signal and the Trendnet dongle works well on another machine.

More expensive and still often unreliable is a 3G access. Then, when WiFi and 3G don't work I still can access the Internet via a Inmarsat BGAN satellite terminal, but that is very expensive.What I'd like do is to connect several computers to the same WiFi, 3G, BGAN Satellite Interent (all Ethernet) access via a home WiFi network.Now the questions I have:- can I just connect everything to a switch and then to the Wan-port of a wireless router?- how do the prioritisation works? When there is 3G available, I dont want to access the Internet via the BGAN, bacause that's too expensive?

Also every time my laptop restarts it always loads saying "Preparing for first time use" Like I used the CD recovery again. which I didn't. It is blank. Why is this? And how do I get it to view my wireless networks? I have tried a wireless usb adapter which I use for my other laptop. Anyway, I got a new CD for Windows 7 which was burned however, And once installed, I saw I couldn't find any wireless networks at all. It's like as if it's one of those old classic computers that didn't have wireless. So I bought a Windows 7 CD key online from my iPad. But I couldn't use the product key without Internet, so I did the activate by phone thing. After that it said windows has been successfully activated. Which I don't believe it has anyway. My friend allows me to use the wifi by sharing the password. My friend's computer is a MacBook. But I cannot access wifi! Why is that? I am able to see the available connections and to see the one that my friend is using. But I am unable to access it. I tried manually adding the new wifi network. It shows up with "limited access" -- it does not enable use of internet.

I've tried to disconnect it and re-connect it but it doesn't work. It stays with the local access only.The only way I get it back is to disconnect it then reboot it.
