Cisco :: LMS 4.1 For Solaris
Oct 2, 2011Is there a version LMS 4.1 available for Solaris? If so, Is it available on the Cisco Web Site for download?
We currently are running LMS 3.2.1 and need to upgrade to LMS 4.1.
Cisco :: Cannot Connect To LMS 2.6 (Solaris)
May 21, 2012We got the following error message on Ciscoworks LMS 2.6 on Solaris 5.9:

We stopped the Daemon Manager and delete some log files. After restarting the Daemon Manager it took about 45 min to came up but unfortunately when we tried to connect to the sever by IE we got "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" the pdshow shows that:
Process= Apache
State = Never started
Pid = 0

Cisco :: LMS 4.0 Installation Errors On Solaris 10
Sep 1, 2011Any info concerning the installation of CW LMS 4.0.1 on Solaris 10!
The installation keeps on failing when it is checking for packages. Also the second time when we downloaded the software once more.
ERROR: AddProperty called with invalid package name: CSCOmd.
I have also attached the install log files.
The system is Solaris 10 with zones:

May 16, 2012I am unable to kill EPMServer processes after shutting down LMS 4.2 on Solaris 10. There are still 60 or so EPMServer processes running. Killing them manually does not work as they appear to restart again after killing. Only way to knock them off is to reboot the system. Why does dmgtd stop not kill all LMS processes and is there a patch required for LMS 4.2 or Solaris 10 that would work?

Jun 6, 2012I just purchased an SG300-10 (negular, non-POE) and planning on using it with no special configuratinos initially. Longer term, will be using VLAN and QOS for VOIP.What I would like to know is if ports 9 & 10 can be used as standard copper cat5e ports, or are they only useful for special purposes? When I hookup my router/firewall to port 1 it all appears to work. If I hook it up to 9 or 10, the port lights do not come on and it doesn't work. I read that ports 9 & 10 don't have POE on the POE switch, but I assumed that all 10 ports would function with cat5e?

May 6, 2013I've been having an issue with my Dell, when it goes into Power Save Mode (not Sleep or Hibernate), my Graphics Card crashes and I can't see anything when I move the mouse to Wake Up my screen. This is something I have come to live with since I hear the Power Supply for my Graphics Card is too weak (AMD 7870). Sometimes, I have to do a Hard Reboot by holding the Power button and then restarting the computer.
I did that yesterday and realized that my internet connection keeps cutting every 5-10 seconds (literally). I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate. What I did so far was uninstall the driver and get the latest one. That hasn't worked at all.
I have 2 other devices connected to my Wi-Fi, a Dell Laptop that is working perfectly and a smartphone. Both of these haven't been dropping the connection at all. I'm thinking that either something became corrupt by doing my Hard Reboots or it's some kind of compatibility issue. I bought this computer in November 2012 and haven't had an issue like this since but now I can't do anything on web because it takes ages to visit websites.

Apr 11, 2013I recently bought a new Inspiron 15R Special Edition less than 3 weeks ago. It has recently started playing up with the internet. I've reset the router, and deleted and reconnected to the internet connection but it has stayed the same.
I have also been having problems with some computer programs. McAfee and windows threat both decided to shut down along with the firewalls. The security seems to be up and running now but my firewall doesn't seem to want to turn on.
D-link Dcs Network Camera :: Wifi Password With Special Characters Not Supported?
Dec 1, 2012I have been trying to connect a camera to the wifi router at my mother's assisted living facility. The password has a special character, "!".
After hours waiting on the phone with tech support, they confirmed that only letters and numbers are supported. Guess i have to take it back.
Incidentally, the software is changing "!" to "%21", which is the escape sequence used in URL's. The camera software isn't mapping it back. Should be fixable in firmware.

Im researching the matter now and it seems an extra card whould be purchased in addition to the router. Also, i cant seem to find much information on the available licenses to go with the router. will i need a special license to utilize the balancer/failover feature? (ip base, data, SEC).

Issue: Whenever I close my lid, my wireless connectivity drops by around 80+%. When using speedtest.net, I normarlly download at 5 megabits/s and upload at 1, but with my lid closed, I download at less then 0.4 and upload surprisingly at 0.8. My downloads and torrents basically grind to a halt, multiplayer gaming becomes difficult and websites/youtube/videos take much longer to load. I can check all these figures as I'm using an external monitor.I have tried a lot of things to improve connectivity including setting everything to high performance, disabling power saving modes, setting roaming to aggressive/high and updating drivers.

Nov 9, 2012I have blown the dust of my Cisco 1801 and looked the books out to put a decent router on my network now I am running my own server however I have hit a few bumps but totally stick now.
DHCP is disabled and I can't remember the sub net. Connected with the console cable but finding my admin password isn't accepted. Running the password recovery but unable to access ROMMON using special command > break. I should get this but the ATA monitor library just loads and I get stuck on the password screen.
