I have updated drivers for my Toshiba laptop and it wont connect to wifi? why is it so?I had problem with mini port driver but even after updating the driver it is not working. I can see the icon of wifi and the connection options but when I try to it says "connection was unsuccessful this computer currently has limited connectivity to Hostel_06".
View 5 RepliesI've got an old 2800 server which I'm troubleshooting some nic issues. It has Intel pro 1000 mt nic in it. There are no new dell drivers available but there are some much newer drivers on the intel site. Since this is a live server I want to check to see if any issues upgrading nic drivers downloaded from intel on a dell server.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was brought a WAP200 that was giving a client some issues. I've been told the first thing to try is to update/reinstall the firmware. I have the newest firmware file downloaded and saved, and I have the WAP200 plugged in and sitting on my desk.
I reset the access point and connected it directly to my computer with a patch cable, then entered the default IP address (192.168.1.245) to attempt to access the device. No go. Is that supposed to work and something is wrong with it? All I want to do is update the firmware, because if the device has been reset and the firmware reinstalled and it's still not working, then we'll just deem it defective and have it replaced.
My laptop and my android phone wifi's are working properly. However I'm unable to connect wifi in another laptop, a Toshiba Qosmio windows 7. The laptop detects the wifi connection but when I put the key for the wifi it does not connect. My old laptop and phone wifi are working fine. Just not the new laptop

There is nothing wrong with the router as all my other wifi devices still work on the network (xbox 360, flatmates laptop etc.) so I assume its something to do with my laptop.I have tried restarting the router and it hasnt worked, neither have any of the windows tools. View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my WRT54G V3 to frimware 4.21.5 and now get regular wireless connection issues. The wired connection never has any problem (can connect to the router and the internet), but none of the wireless devices can see either.
The problem happens every couple of days, and cycling the power seems to be the only fix. When the problem does occur, the wireless devices don't even see the broadcasted SSID. But cycling the WRT54G's power fixes that.
I've gotten a few suggestions to do a "30-30-30" reset, but can't find exactly what that entails.
The update "failed," due to an "unexpected error." Wireless connection is disabled, although, as you have probably noticed, I can still connect to the internet (using an ethernet cable from my router to my laptop OSX 10.6.8). Error Code 3018 is unknown to Cisco's website. Or should I just start over with the installation disk for my E4200 router?

It shows the signal strength as great and wont connect. I have tried several things. I have turned Protocal 6 off, protocal 4 off. I have tried to use the diagnos problem and it wont fix the problem. Nor find the problem. I tried to turn off my firewall, but it wont let me. This is all new to me. I am not an idiot by any means when it comes to computers. I have home internet with an ethernet cord, that when I hook it up to my laptop, it works fine, but that's for my desktop and I don't want to be stuck in the same spot all the time. Any suggestions on what I can do to get it to work?

A couple of weeks ago, my wireless connection was getting slower and slower. As one day it decided to get extremely slow, I decided to uninstall the wireless card via device manager and reinstall it. Once this had been completed, the wireless just stopped working. The signal bar came up with zero and had a big red X in it. It works fine with ethernet cable but just won't seem to work as a wifi connector.
I have reinstalled all drivers and everything is enabled. When troubleshooting, it comes up with a possible problem with driver. Once this has been resolved it is then a problem with the network. The router is fine as I am able to connect on every other device in the house. I even purchased a USB wifi adaptor in the event of the Wireless card packing in but this is still creating the same problem. I used system restore to roll back the laptop to a time when the wireless worked and it didn't seem to work at all.

So how do I go about fixing that? Like I said I can't connect to any wireless networks.
