Connecting Mobile To Laptop To Share Wifi Using Bluetooth?

I just purchased a T-Mobile hotspot (ZTE) yesterday. It can connect to the T-Mobile network and appears to be working fine. My Wii can connect wirelessly to the the hotspot, but my laptop can only connect to the internet through the USB cord (which it's really not supposed to, because that's supposed to be for charging the device). When I try to connect via wifi to my hotspot, my computer can detect the network. However, after I immediately enter my password, it says that it cannot connect. When I click "Diagnose the problem" it says there was a timeout.I have Windows Vista and one of the tech support people mentioned that Windows Vista sometimes has problems connecting with handshake devices (but he didn't know how to fix it). Another person said I should have about 20 seconds to type in my password, so it shouldn't be timing out so quickly. Is it something with my computer? I have a Compaq Presario CQ60. I had this same problem when I tried to connect to a friend's hotspot a couple weeks ago (I don't remember if it was also T-Mobile or another provider, though).

I know this sounds like a crazy question but i travel a lot and i like to play my PS3. When i go to a new hotel some have a open internet connection and others don't. I want to connect my laptop to the wifi and share it to a separate router with a WPA2-PSK so that i have a more secure connection on the play station. Now first is this even possible to do? I use to beable to share my internet connection from my phone through my laptop to my ps3. Now when i try to do that just with the wifi in the hotels it doesnt have a high enough security setting.

My laptop has recently stopped connecting to my wireless network. There is nothing wrong with the router as all my other wifi devices still work on the network (xbox 360, flatmates laptop etc.) so I assume its something to do with my laptop.I have tried restarting the router and it hasnt worked, neither have any of the windows tools. I have run ipconfig/all while the the connection was down and will post the report at the end of this post (I am currently connected to the internet with an ethernet cable).I have checked that all my drivers are up to date and they are so I dont think that is the problem either. I just purchased a Acer Aspire 5250-0810 yesterday. I sat all day tryin to connect it wirelessly to my wifi connection I have enabled on my phone. It shows the signal strength as great and wont connect. I have tried several things. I have turned Protocal 6 off, protocal 4 off. I have tried to use the diagnos problem and it wont fix the problem. Nor find the problem. I tried to turn off my firewall, but it wont let me. This is all new to me. I am not an idiot by any means when it comes to computers. I have home internet with an ethernet cord, that when I hook it up to my laptop, it works fine, but that's for my desktop and I don't want to be stuck in the same spot all the time. Any suggestions on what I can do to get it to work?

I've got an Optus (in Australia, so 3G mobile broadband is all that matters I would think) that I'm trying to connect to a Netgear WGR614v9 wireless router. So the 3g mobile plugs into usb on computer; the router to the ethernet card on computer.

I know; I could buy one that has it in one package, but we're throwing the router out from work anyway. If this works my daughter will be thrilled with her iPod more is all :)

I've got the mobile broadband on, and plugged in the router and Windows 7 makes a second network connection automatically for the router, though with no internet access, and the setup wizard in the router claims to have no access to the internet. (though clearly I'm posting...lol).

We can see the Wireless signals on devices and can connect to the router but then the devices say no internet access when you actually try to access the web, like the router wizard does. and yet, we are online
