I just bought a D-Link DIR-615 N300 wireless router to use for printing between my laptop and HP4500 wireless printer. During setup using Verizon Mobile USB 760 modem for internet connection---it's not working--? Or is the only way to utilize is to have a DSL or Cable modem?

I am using tp link router for accessing internet in my laptop and mobile. everything is opening in my laptop but i had few problems when using internet in mobile. im using android mobile. when using play store the images and screen shots of applications are not loading but im able to download. I'm unable to see the images in play store. So I'm thinking that there is something problem in router settings.
For some reason, whenever I go home (I'm in college right now), my internet goes haywire. It'll connect for about an hour or so when I first load it up, but after that, it refuses to connect at all. I have a Westell Ultraline Series3 Verizon modem/ router. I no longer have Verizon, I now have Charter cable internet. Is it possible to use this modem with Charter? I have tried everything I know (which is not much). When connected to the Charter cable the light on the front indicates internet, but when I try to connect to the internet I don't have internet access. This happens when connected via wire or wireless.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like my dcs-930l ip camera to be directly connected to my d-link dsl-321b modem (which has only one rj45 port to connect to), so that I can either access the cam via the internet (watching livestream through webinterface, that would be option 1) or so that the cam sends an email with a picture as soon as the motion sensors activate - that would be option 2 (by the way: the modem / cam get internet access through german telekom / t-online).
I have tried to get option 1 as well as option 2 to work, but I failed... I would be happy if either option 1 or 2 would work for me - I don't really care which one. In both cases, the problem seems to be that the dcs-930l cam cannot access the internet (but the cam itself works - I can view the livestream through the local network).

My plan was to connect a linksys wrt54gs to the Cisco router for device connectivity. And I wanted everyone else in the house to still be able to use the Verizon router as expected. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 7 computer with Comcast HSI. It's a very fast computer, but the modem was really outdated. So was the router. So, we got a brand new Cisco N+ Router and a Motorola SURFboard SB6121 modem with DOCSIS 3.0 and IPv6. However, when plugged in, the new modem will not consistenly connect to the internet. We called Comcast and they tried to send an activation code to the modem with it connected to the computer directly, but it was intermittently going online, then offline, then back online, then offline. We exchanged the modem for an identical one, but it's doing the same thing, so the modem can't be at fault here. Comcast tried to tell us that something was wrong with our coaxial cable, but our old modem - a Motorola SURFboard 4100 running DOCSIS 1.1 - was working just fine with the same cable. Another technological "improvement" has failed me.

At this point I'm assuming it's a Linksys issue since I know that my Verizon modem can connect me to the internet, so works properly. Is there some known incompatibility with this Linksys model and the Westell 6100G modem?
We got a 1921 router that works fine. We ordered Verizon Businss One Static IP ADSL. It came with a Westell Modem that we configured in bridge mode. When we do a test by assigning a static IP to our laptop then hook it up to the Westell it works fine. We can browse the web. Then when we assign a static IP to the Ethernet on our 1921 then connect it to the Westell it doesn't work. We can't ping out from the router to for example 4.2.2.2. From the router we can't even ping the default gateway (on Verizon's side).

We are able to connect to one or the other and can print when connected to the home network or we can surf when connected to the Pantech. We can connect to both networks at the same time, but when we do we can neither print or surf.. It cannot find the printer and does not access the internet at all. Is it possible to do this without buying additional hardware

I've got the mobile broadband on, and plugged in the router and Windows 7 makes a second network connection automatically for the router, though with no internet access, and the setup wizard in the router claims to have no access to the internet. (though clearly I'm posting...lol).
We can see the Wireless signals on devices and can connect to the router but then the devices say no internet access when you actually try to access the web, like the router wizard does. and yet, we are online
I have a DIR-655 (RevA) which I have been very happy with when used with a broadband wireless ISP. We just recently obtained Frontier DSL and I want to use my already configured DIR-655 with the new service. I have successfully bridged the Westell 7500 DSL modem provided by Frontier (DHCP server turned off, mode set to bridge-bridge.) I tested this by attaching a laptop and verifying that it was assigned a WAN IP address and that I could ping resources on the Internet.
When I attach the DLink and start it up, it gets a WAN address and everything looks good, but I can not ping (from the router) to any resource on the Internet (by IP address), including the assigned gateway. It goes without saying that computers attached to the DIR-655 are also unable to ping addresses on the Internet. Oh, I have cloned the Westell modem's MAC address to the DLink router as well.
Any special settings in the DIR-655 that are required to work with Frontier/Verizon's DSL network? Or compatibility issues? and I've updated to the 1.35NA firmware.
Can't connect DAP-1522 to my Verizon Fios Router
Went through the setup on the DAP-1522. Selected my Verizon FIOS wireless network and entered the WEP key. Everything looks ok on the status page - except Status: Disconnected
Reset/restarted and reconfigured DAP-1522 several times - same result. Can't get it to connect.

View 1 Replies View Related I've been testing it out at home where I use another D-Link with no problem. What I'm seeing is that I can connect to the router (wired or wireless) but no internet connection is reported. I believe I have also tried pinging a web site by IP address alone with no luck.

I've tried turning modem and router off, waiting a few minutes, then turning on modem and letting it connect then turning on the router. That doesn't work. As best I can tell the two routers have the same settings. The ISP is using Dynamic IP (DHCP) connection.
I upgraded the firmware everything was fine. This may not be realted to the firmware. I can now connect to the Router but cannot get any Internet or data to transmit wireless. Plug in directly it works fine.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get neighbour wireless router working. He has a D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N 300 Router. I have gotten the router working by manually putting in his PPPoE settings. Now with a wired XP SP3 computer connected via Ethernet, it can access the internet. We then configured his router for WPA2 with AES encryption. We were able to connect up his phone which can handle a WiFi connection. He was able to surf the web using the WPA2 passphrase. So far, so good. The last bit was the upstairs computer which has a PCI D-Link wireless N card in it. That computer runs XP SP2 and we have not been able to get it to connect to the internet.We have tried both Windows networking, and the D-Link Wireless management software. We were unable to get WPA2 working, so we tried WPA, WEP, and finally no security. In each case, we can get the computer to connect to the router by putting in the passphrase (except when no security), and the status changes to Connected. But then browsers are not able to open any internet site.
I have checked the ipconfig settings, they seem to be correct. DHCP is providing the computer with a valid local IP (192.168.0.102), and the gateway is correctly listing the D-Link router.Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. The downstairs Ethernet connected computer has an IP of 192.168.0.100, so they are on the same subnet.We have tried turning "Windows Wireless Zero Configuration" service off, and also tried with it on.We have switched between using the D-Link client and allowing Windows to manage wireless settings. It finds the wireless network, and connects with the passphrase with a good strong signal, but internet persists in not working.I do not have MAC Filtering turned on.I have turned off the Windows Firewall on the wireless computer. What else am I missing?
My computer is almost always on. My modem and router are always on.Last night I was using the internet, no problems.This morning I woke up to find "No Internet Access".My computer was connecting to the router just fine, but the router was showing a orange Earth symbol on the front (not green).I connected the computer directly to the modem and internet works just fine. After powering off both the modem and router and checking all the connections ... still the router is not "reading" the internet from the modem. And still the internet is there if I connect the modem directly to the computer (that's how I am online and posting this right now).
