Acer Aspire 5250 Keeps Loosing Wifi Internet Connection?
Nov 27, 2011I purchased a brand new Acer Aspire 5250-BZ669 that included Windows 7 just two days ago. Everything is working fine on it except for it randomly looses connection to the internet. I have an established network that I have been using for years. The signal strength is always 5 bars and excellent. I also have a compaq connected to the same network, and it never looses connection. However my Acer will randomly drop connection. I have no idea why. Sometimes it will connect again in minutes or sometimes hours. I am using a Linksys G Wireless Router(Model # WRT54G2), Atheros AR5B125 Wireless Network Driver, and a Atheros AR8152 Controller. I have enabled and disabled in addition to uninstalling and installing the driver and controller many times. I have also moved the router and adapter all over the house. I have downloaded the newest versions of every driver from the Acer website. I have googled for hours looking for the answer to no avail. I run the troubleshoot and the answer it gives me is to make sure all the connections to the router is secure, which it is or else my other laptop wouldn't work.

Mar 22, 2012I just purchased a Acer Aspire 5250-0810 yesterday. I sat all day tryin to connect it wirelessly to my wifi connection I have enabled on my phone. It shows the signal strength as great and wont connect. I have tried several things. I have turned Protocal 6 off, protocal 4 off. I have tried to use the diagnos problem and it wont fix the problem. Nor find the problem. I tried to turn off my firewall, but it wont let me. This is all new to me. I am not an idiot by any means when it comes to computers. I have home internet with an ethernet cord, that when I hook it up to my laptop, it works fine, but that's for my desktop and I don't want to be stuck in the same spot all the time. Any suggestions on what I can do to get it to work?

Apr 29, 2012I am having trouble connecting via wireless a Kodak ESP 5250 to a Linksys E1200 Router.I am using the printer console controls to configure the printer.I have verified that the password string is correct.I have changed the Channel to 6 and the encryption method to WPA/WPA2 Personal.The printer is configured to use DHCP to obtain and IP address.The problem that I am experiencing is that the printer is not getting far enough in the connection process to attempt to obtain an IP address.Tis printer was previously connected to a Belkin Router using WPA/WPA2 TKIP. But the Linksys router does not support selecting TKIP.I am not to the point that I can connect a computer (via wireless) to the printer. I have a computer connected via USB cable and that works well.

Nov 15, 2012I am at my friend's house and she cannot connect her Acer laptop to the her own wifi (netgear router). Her iPad and my laptop (lenovo) both can connect to the wifi. This would lead me to believe that the issue is with her computer but her computer can connect to other wifis in the area...just not her own. I am not sure what is causing this...it may be that program "Acer eNet Management" but that still doesn't explain why she can connect to other wifis and not her own. Oct 4, 2011Recently we have set up internet in our student accommodation flat and for some strange reason the internet speed seems to be incredible low when I am connected using wireless. I am trying to download some stuff and the download speed drops below 10kb/s. The internet speed is very temperamental as it can be fine for a minute and then it will suddenly drop really low. If I disconnect from and reconnect to the network the speed will be high again then it will drop really low again. If I am connected via an ethernet cable the speed is fine and does not drop at all.My ISP is Orange, and I am using an Acer 8930G laptop. Some of my flat mates are experiencing this as well but some aren't. I was wondering whether or not it could just be a laptop thing or a router thing. The speed can drop that low that I can not even browse web pages.

Jan 25, 2012I have an ACER Aspire 1830 (netbook) and has 3g build in according to the teacher, and it obviously is in because the sim has been put in the laptop (The scrap is in the box from the sim). Everytime I try to use it it says that my APN is incorrect.
I have taken a few steps to try and fix this:
1. I have changed the APN to all of the possible ones from Telstra (telstra.internet, telstra.data, etc.), and none of them seemed to have worked.
2. I asked a friend who has the same laptop whos 3g IS working to check the details on his laptop, and there is no APN or user/pass in his laptop.
