Acer 4750z Fn F3 Starts Up Bluetooth But Not Wifi?
Nov 1, 2011
when i press fn+f3 on my acer 4750z laptop it starts up bluetooth and not wifi! when i enter into the wifi wizard installed, which is intel mywifi tech, it shows "NO SUPPORTED WIRELESS ADAPTER FOUND" what should i do to start up wifi??
I recently acquired a WMP600N-EU that is running under W7 x64 with the latest Linksys available drivers for download, which unlike the default MS ones, don't enable the Virtual Wifi adapter. Now with this new adapter, the wireless icon starts with the blue circle spinning, and the at the point the other adapter was already connected, it displays the "orange sun" (not connected, connections available) and stays there dead for some 10 seconds. At this point, my router's SSID is already listed. Only after that time it will start to successfully auto-connect to the pre-configured network, whereas windows has already finished loading or the browser launched unable to check mail. This is obviously not a functional fault on the adapter. If I didn't had the previous adapter to compare, I might find it normal. Btw, I've cleaned every previously stored wireless connections.
I am at my friend's house and she cannot connect her Acer laptop to the her own wifi (netgear router). Her iPad and my laptop (lenovo) both can connect to the wifi. This would lead me to believe that the issue is with her computer but her computer can connect to other wifis in the area...just not her own. I am not sure what is causing this...it may be that program "Acer eNet Management" but that still doesn't explain why she can connect to other wifis and not her own. Is there maybe a compatability issue with netgear and her wifi card?
I have a acer laptop and a netgear dgn1000. i can connect wifi to other divices just not my laptop. it work fine with ethernet. i have clicked the enable button so it isnt checked and a few other things from the internet but nothing works.
My family recently purchased an Acer Aspire One netbook running Windows 7. Unfortunately, once I got it out of the box and tried to connect to the internet, I had some problems. My family predominantly uses Apple devices - in fact, this netbook is the only PC that we have in the house. All of our Apple devices work wonderfully with our current Wi-Fi connection (iPhone, iPad, MacBooks, etc). The Acer is able to detect our wireless, and it even says that it's "connected" with excellent signal strength. However, it says it is an "Unidentified Network" with "no internet access." To see if this problem limited to just that wi-fi connection, I hooked up my Verizon Wireless Mi-Fi and it worked just fine with the Acer.
My accer netbook would not connect to wifi at all, it is working when connected to the router. the wifi signal light is not on like it usally is. I restarted it a number of times like i usually do when this happens but this time it won't come back on
Having a problem connecting with my home wifi through this laptop but when using other computers/laptops in within the home they seem to connect fine. it was working fine last night and then when i switched on today it stopped working. the wifi seems to be showing all the networks around the vicinity, but no connection. i ran ipconfig and it seems to state that my 'media is disconnected'
I have an acer travelmate 5720 running windows vista. It seems to connect no problems to some wifi ie my home and a friends wifi but not to work wifi at two different work places. i try to connect and it simply says acquiring ip then fails. It then suggests resetting the routers which makes no idfference. Not sure what to do. Can it be set just to connect to one home wifi without me knowing.
In the last few weeks my wireless has been crap and it's been quite slow, making some pages take forever to load or stuck in a constant loading cycle. Im on a Acer Aspire One D257-13448 netbook with built in Intel Centrino N-100 wireless adapter.
I've tries a lot of things already, resetting my Bell 2Wire modem outer, disabling and re-enabling my wifi, chaning the wireless network name and password, and even chaning the power settings for maximum wireless performance. Though I have noticed a little increase in speed with the last action, its still slower then it was when I first got my netbook back in september. I know the network is fine because my two computer connected by wires work just fine.
earlier this year I bought an Acer AspireOne netbook with Windows 7 startup operating system. It's been working fine until recently when it suddenly does not see our home wifi connection. It shows a list of all our neighbours routers, just not ours. We have various other devices that can see and connect to it just fine (other PCs & laptops, iPhones & smartphones, MacBook Pro etc) A system restore cured the problem the first couple of times, but now that doesn't work. I've tried resetting & restarting the modem & router dozens of times but it does not appear in the list of available networks for the netbook.
I have an acer aspire 3630 and i recently got it, so i decided to update all drivers and i stupidly didn't do a back up now the wifi isnt working, i tried uninstalling the cards, and tried doing what this thread saidi even tried installing all the drivers i could find (broodcom, foxconn, the drivers from the acer site) and nothing is working, my wifi light next to the switch keeps flashing on and off.
I'll cut right to the chase: I've been having some serious problems with wifi detection. There are times when the wifi is detected successfully, but most days, my laptop can't seem to detect any. The wifi light goes on and off as well. Also, there are times when the wifi suddenly just goes off and fails to detect any, even after it has already started working.Usually, I have to turn off my laptop and wait for it to cool before the wifi starts working again. I already have that power save mode option unchecked, so I don't really know what's causing the problem.
i can connect to my wifi but not the internet...I've connected it to the same network using an ethernet cable and it all works fine, the same can be said for when i connect to any other wireless network.. It only seems to be my wireless network which doesnt work... We recently changed our internet in the house from bt to virgin, and this was when the problem started.
I am trying to get my daughters laptop re-hooked to the wifi. Other computers and smart phones have no problems. This computer was connected but after the applesauce spill on the keyboard, and subsequent MicroCenter replacement of keyboard, we cannot get the laptop online. It is an Acer Aspire 5517 running Windows 7I have removed all profiles and created a new profile entering parameters from my laptop. I can see the wireless connection, but when I try to connect, I get "Windows was unable to connect to Greg". When I click troubleshoot, I get "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem".
My partners Aspire 5315 laptop will not connect to our newly installed Virgin wifi. Virgin have tried to access while hard wired and can see no issue with wifi, my laptop runs without issue Samsung Q35.When trying to connect Windows Network Diagnostics the message that comes up is;Cannot communicate with primary DNS Server(194.168.4.100).Network diagnostics pinged the remote host but did not receive a response. We can take her Aspire laptop out and connect to friends WIFI (Virgin, BT etc.) without any issues but cannot do this on our own wifi at home. Every diagnostic thats been run shows no issues with anything. [code] When I hard wire the internet through the ethrnet connection I have no issues but kinda defeats the purpose of WIFI for my partner.
I just recently bought a wireless router (DIR-615) from dlink. After installing it my laptop cannot connect to the wifi network but all other devices(iphones,etc..) can. After speaking with the dlink techs they told me it probably was a problem with my wifi adapter. I downloaded the latest driver with no success. I don't know what to try anymore.
I have a Acer Aspire 5536 laptop, about 3 years old.Over the last year, the WiFi has kept dropping and so I have to physically switch the WiFi on and off, only then will it start working. When it "drops" the globe sign at the bottom of the screen (taskbar) goes and only the 2computers icon is flashing.
Why i can not see my network adapters in my Acer aspire 5251 I did a quick searching about my ipconfig all how I can rresolve to bring back my network adapters

I have been using my ACER tablet with my Netgear router for several months with no problems at all. Then last night I decided to restore my tablet to its default settings, meaning that all my programs, apps, files, etc., were erased. Then I rebooted my tablet and started from scratch, entering the requested information. Everything appeared to be going just fine until I turned on Wi-Fi and attempted to connect to my network (Secured with WPA2), which was available and showed Good signal strength. I clicked on it, then attempted to enter my password. As soon as I entered the first digit of my password, the option to Connect to the Internet immediately disappeared, becoming greyed-out. Repeated attempts to connect failed for the same reason.
I called ACER Level 2 Support and tried a couple of procedures which didn't solve the problem. One was pushing the Reset Button twice. The technician told me that I may have a problem with my router settings. He suggested that I go to a local fast food outlet and see if I could connect there. I went to McDonald's and was able to get on the Net without using a password. I returned home and tried again to connect, but still was unable to enter my password.
Would it make sense for me to completely disconnect my router from everything, then reconnect and go through that set-up process all over again? I guess I would have to change my User Name & Password, or whatever is required. Also, if I go this route, should I change my security setting from WPA2 to a different option -- WEP, for example? I just don't want to foul things up to the point where my laptop wouldn't work. I doubt that would happen. I recently received the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade which has been working satisfactorily; however, it does mean that I'm now attempting to start over from scratch with a different operating system.
I purchased a brand new Acer Aspire 5250-BZ669 that included Windows 7 just two days ago. Everything is working fine on it except for it randomly looses connection to the internet. I have an established network that I have been using for years. The signal strength is always 5 bars and excellent. I also have a compaq connected to the same network, and it never looses connection. However my Acer will randomly drop connection. I have no idea why. Sometimes it will connect again in minutes or sometimes hours. I am using a Linksys G Wireless Router(Model # WRT54G2), Atheros AR5B125 Wireless Network Driver, and a Atheros AR8152 Controller. I have enabled and disabled in addition to uninstalling and installing the driver and controller many times. I have also moved the router and adapter all over the house. I have downloaded the newest versions of every driver from the Acer website. I have googled for hours looking for the answer to no avail. I run the troubleshoot and the answer it gives me is to make sure all the connections to the router is secure, which it is or else my other laptop wouldn't work.
