Windows. messages that it is looking at the problem & it will rectify it soon .Than about 2 min later it reconnects back to the internet . this always happens -it is very frustrating .I can't ever view any photos properly . This happened the 1st day I got the computer .
I have a Windows Seven desktop that will disconnect from the internet ( It has a Ethernet cable directly to the router ) after sitting still for a few hours.my laptop has a Wifi card and works even when the Desktop doesn't.
There are currently 6 laptops in my household.4 windows (1 vista, 1 xp2002 pro, 2 windows 7) and 2 linux (both ubuntu). Night before last, without warning, all 6 stopped connecting through the wireless router. I took the router out of the mix, and now only the linux laptops can connect to the internet via ethernet cable. comcast support is useless.any ideas what could be happening here? Only 1 of the linux and 2 of the windows laptops were connected at the time this occurred.
My xp laptop does not connect to the internet using USB broadband after deletion of the dns changer virus (although still shows a connection) , however still connects using LAN or wireless. The usb modem works on other xp computers.Tried ipconfig/dnsflush, cfs /runnow/ uninstall and reinstall modem and usb ports.
I have a sonicwall tz-170 that has a standard interface. It is the main system with IP 192.168.1.1.Another location using IPs 192.168.0.1 has a dvr (192.168.0.154) with ports 80, 37777 and 37778.I can access them from the main location just fine but setting up a service then a rule does not allow me to connect from outside the network. I assume this is the same for anything trying to reach the other side of the vpn but I'm not sure
I am with BT Broadband and have not had any problems with connection for the 2 months since I have been connected except for a brief disconnection this afternoon do have a Homehub but it arrived after my connection day and I like my wired Netgear router so have carried on using that. Also worried if I can't get the Homehub working I might mess up the settings on the wired router too.Is it possible to view the Netgear Router setup and diagnostics page http://192.168.0.1/ when offline?I thought it was as I am sure I have done this in the past when I could not get connected to the internet. Everything is working fine now but when I lost internet connection this afternoon, I went to open http://192.168.0.1/, entered my password but the page would not open while offline. Connection came back and I am able to open the page as normal
The LAN adapter is disconnected since I'm not using it lmao. I meant the wifi adapter. So I bought this new laptop, ASUS G46vw but since yesterday I can't connect to the wifi. It connects but it shows as "Limited Connection - No Internet Access". I already went to the wireless adapter power proprieties - Power Management and unchecked the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option. But I still get no internet access. [code]
I needed to change my password to my wifi so after watching a youtube video I followed these instructions:Go to search program files : cmd Enter: ipconfig Get gateway ip address Go to internet explorer enter ip address Once admin log on comes on log on and I went on to change wireless password Once I did change password after that it would not comment to my wireless wifi Connection. I once again went to cmd then ipconfig where there it then said media disconnected. I mess something up since now nothing can connected to WiFi?
I have 2 laptops, only one of which connects to the Internet. The second, a Dell XPS, no longer connects to the Internet/network. Recently I updated the driver for the wireless adapter, Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230; however I later learned that there is a compatibility issue for 6230 and Windows 8. So, I rolled back the driver for the wireless network adapter, both to an Intel-provided legacy driver and to the Dell-provided driver. However, using either driver, the my computer won't connect. Running ipconfig states the Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi: Media State... Media Disconnected.
Dell Tech support regarded this a sensitive issue, which would require purchasing a new, premium software warranty.
Why does my HP Photosmart B110 printer not work wirelessly through my new Belkin Surf N300 modem router? Everything is fine using my old Philips CONN-X router. Is bonjour connectivity the issue? All my other devices work fine connected through the Belkin wi-fi.
My wife has an HP laptop running windows 7. when she opens a photo on her laptop , HP mediasmart photo software launches. At the same time , my DIR 655 router reboots knocking everybody off line until it comes back. It does this consistently whenever a photo is opened for viewing on the laptop. I have tried about everything I can think of but still cannot figure this one out. Is it Win7? HP? Dlink? all? both? I've tried defaulting my router and it still does it.
My wife is using a laptop (wireless) and I am using a custom built PC. We have AT&T DSL I believe its a 6mb connection. Anyways, only sometimes when my wife is surfing the net do we both get disconnected. i have a 2wire Gateway (I thought it was also a modem/router). It doesn't seem to DC us when shes playing like xbox games (windows 8 on the ultrabook)...but when she gets on the internet it does it..but not all the time. I was thinking maybe it was DCing because we were putting to much on the gateway.
Desktop: Using ethernet...custom built PC (previous pc was a HP...same issue) Ultrabook: HP Envy 4-1115dx (previous laptop was a compaq...same issue) Gateway: 2Wire 2701 HG-B
my internet modem dc quite often i mean sometimes its 1 or 2 hours sometimes its not, so we are planning to switch the modem soon, but before that i found out something strange, its like in order for us to reconnect back to internet we have to reset the modem, heres the thing. after reset, my brother's pc will immediately connects back to teh internet, but mine pc wouldnt, i meanmy skype will work i can tlk to my friends on it and such, but i have to wait for like 5 mins or so to resume back to the net on firefox/ other internet dependent program, just not skype though.
I have brought a broadband connection from a local ISP called YouBroadband. (I am from India, if you are wondering.) For the first month of my plan, I was having internet connection without any issues. But since 2nd month, I am experiencing a very strange problem. When I turn on my PC and connect to internet by entering my password, I do so without any problem. But after a few mnutes of connectivity, I loose my connection. Even stranger is the fact my Windows 7 Ultimate edition does not recognise this. It still shows connected sign in the notification area. But I am not able browse any more using any browser. to solve the problem, I start network troubleshooting, which in a few seconds shows, resetting 'Local Area Connection 2' and then I am able to log in again. At times this solution also doesn't work. All i can do at that time is shut down my PC, wait a few minutes and restart again. To my extreme dismay, this keeps happening over and over again. I connect, get disconnected, reconnect and again disconnect. This is terribly disturbing and annoying.
I have searched on Google with no success. I tried changing DNS server settings and put Google open DNS address as my preferred DNS server but that didn't solve the problem too.( I received this tip from a friend of mine.) Here's what I get when I type ipconfig/all in Command prompt-Windows IP Configuration[CODE]
Every 5 minutes or so I keep getting disconnected from the internet for about 30 seconds. It gives me the error "Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address." This is in Google Chrome. This occurs when i'm playing Star Wars: the Old Republic.
My internet is randomly disconnecting every once in a while. It seems to be at random intervals of 30 minutes to two hours. While it is disconnected my modem lights are still on and it says that I am connected to the internet.I am wired directly to a modem from my computer.
My laptop gets disconnected frequently from internet although other laptop is working fine means its a issues with my laptop driver.I am not able to access the default gateway 192.168.1.1,Destination host unreachable same message when I tried with 209.183.226.152, not able to ping goggle.com also.

I use CISCO VPN 5.0.07.0290 to connect to my office Network from the wireless internet connection at home. Whenever i Cisco VPN client, my internet is getting disconnected automatically within few minutes. This is happening only when i tried to connect from my home.
I have wrt54gs, firmware talisman 1.1 router. My dad plays on xbox while i play on PC, well me and him simultaneously get disconnected and reconnected to the video games. And its hell of annoying, after long working day to not be able play your favorite video game. I tried to search for the problem but the webpages took at least 5-10 minutes to load up(thats on my PC) i went to my laptop which is connected wireless to router and i was able to browse internet.
So, i just got a new computer from a friend of mine.It is a couple years old running Vista, but i keep having this problem.I can connect to either of my routers, and i will be fine for about 5-10 mins before it disconnects me from Skype or Yahoo or whatever webpage i am on.The connection icon in the corner doesn't say it is disconnected, but everything disconnects.
I am using WAG120N, and it keeps disconnected from internet randomly, normally between 5-10 minutes. The thing is, when it is disconnected, the adsl lamp is still on, so I think that it is not the network problem. When internet lamp turns off , I try to turn off the device (or unplug the phone cable), then turn it on again (or re-plug the cable), and it will work for certain minutes, then gets disconnected again. I already upgraded the firmware to v 1.00.12.
I got 3 windows 7 pc's at home. IP V6 and IP 4 are enabled. I setup my wireless system and it worked 100%. After 3 months I add a LAN cable to two of my PC's. This is when it all started. My internet browsing became very very slow. When i shutdown the one machine it become fast again. I did the following. Pulled the LAN cable and it was still slow. I then put the cable back and disabled the Wi-Fi and it still was very slow. I rested the defaults and restored my old backup and it still slow. Now I can get any access to the internet any more. I the disconnected the netgear router and take a cheap router with only LAN ports and it work 100%. All the above i did with many router and server reboots.
I tried to install Vodafone K3765 USB internet stick. I installed the software which came in the flashdrive. With this software I tried to connect to internet but I got error message "The device has been disconnected or is unavailable". I checked in device manager and in two categories this device appeared. Those two categories were "Modem" and "Network Adapter". Why this device comes under two categories plus why I am getting this error message?
So earlier today I purchased a new video card, a PNY Nvidia Gtx 560. After installing the drivers through the disc, I ended up getting he BSOD, and my PC just kept on restarting automatically. I fixed that problem, and found out that I should install the drivers for it through their website instead. So, after restarting my PC yet again, I tried using the Internet (Chrome) and found out that I have no Internet connection. Now, I am writing this on my iPad using the same router and modem that my PC is supposed to be using, but I keep on checking my WLAN adapter and it says that it is Not Connected. Now I have tried every forum, every post, EVERYTHING related to this problem and not a single thing fixes it. Also, when I do the ipconfig, everything says Media Disconnected and that's it. PS, I tried unplugging/plugging back in my modem and router PPS, Is it possible that when installing my new gcard and psu that I may have messed up with something internally?
