I use CISCO VPN 5.0.07.0290 to connect to my office Network from the wireless internet connection at home. Whenever i Cisco VPN client, my internet is getting disconnected automatically within few minutes. This is happening only when i tried to connect from my home.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA client of mine is using a Cisco 877w wireless router, they have one IP phone connected to one of the RJ45 ports on the back of the router and their main desktop is also plugged directly into the router - this all functions perfectly.However, the router is in a private house and as such it provides connectivity for all other wireless devices such as iPhones, Ipads and Xbox Live etc. The problem is that the router only allows 5 devices to be connected at any one time and when a sixth attempts to connect to the router the first device (the IP phone) is diconnected automatically.
So my client can be using the IP phone for an important call and his son walks in with Iphone and Xbox, friends etc etc and the IP phone is immediatley disonnected from the router. I beleive that the router should allow more than 5 devices to connect and would hope there is a way of stopping the IP phone constantly being disconnected.I have already paid for "Cisco Engineers" to attend this site but they cannot get it working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron Laptop with Windows 7 and a PC with XP. The Laptop has Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN mini-card, i think it supports 802.11g. My PC has DLINK DWA 525 PCI WIRELESS card, this supports 802.11g and n. The wireless router is Belkin Surf Wireless Router (F7D2301zb).
Now, the problem i'm facing is when PC is connected first and later when laptop is connected, the computer gets disconnected. Laptop works fine. I have to restart the router to connect both.
Is it due to the difference in 802.11 G and N of Laptop and PC ?
My Linksys WRT120N router was working fine for all of 1 and 1/2 months and suddenly it stopped making the internet connection. At first nothing could access the internet but now that I've reset the router (via the little reset button in the back) my Kindle can access the wireless, but of course no password etc. I actually don't know how to put back the username and password for it. When router is connected: When I troubleshoot the connection by clicking on "Repair Connection" it takes about 2-5 mins "obtaining a new network address" then I get an error saying "The wired connection to your router was not automatically repaired. Anyways, only sometimes when my wife is surfing the net do we both get disconnected. i have a 2wire Gateway (I thought it was also a modem/router). It doesn't seem to DC us when shes playing like xbox games (windows 8 on the ultrabook)...but when she gets on the internet it does it..but not all the time. I was thinking maybe it was DCing because we were putting to much on the gateway.

my internet modem dc quite often i mean sometimes its 1 or 2 hours sometimes its not, so we are planning to switch the modem soon, but before that i found out something strange, its like in order for us to reconnect back to internet we have to reset the modem, heres the thing. after reset, my brother's pc will immediately connects back to teh internet, but mine pc wouldnt, i meanmy skype will work i can tlk to my friends on it and such, but i have to wait for like 5 mins or so to resume back to the net on firefox/ other internet dependent program, just not skype though.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have brought a broadband connection from a local ISP called YouBroadband. (I am from India, if you are wondering.) For the first month of my plan, I was having internet connection without any issues. But since 2nd month, I am experiencing a very strange problem. When I turn on my PC and connect to internet by entering my password, I do so without any problem. But after a few mnutes of connectivity, I loose my connection. Even stranger is the fact my Windows 7 Ultimate edition does not recognise this. It still shows connected sign in the notification area. But I am not able browse any more using any browser. to solve the problem, I start network troubleshooting, which in a few seconds shows, resetting 'Local Area Connection 2' and then I am able to log in again. At times this solution also doesn't work. All i can do at that time is shut down my PC, wait a few minutes and restart again. To my extreme dismay, this keeps happening over and over again. I connect, get disconnected, reconnect and again disconnect. This is terribly disturbing and annoying.

Every 5 minutes or so I keep getting disconnected from the internet for about 30 seconds. It gives me the error "Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address." This is in Google Chrome. This occurs when i'm playing Star Wars: the Old Republic.

I have a Cisco 881 Router connected to cable modem. The router is running IOS 15.1.
I have it configured exactly the same way as an 877 router running IOS 12.1 which does not exhibit the problem. Just a standard LAN/WAN config with basic routing/firewall.
When the internet connection is lost for any reason and then re-established the router will no longer pass internet traffic unless I reboot the router.
I used Cisco Configuration Professional to configure the router. The key setting seems to be the Router Static Route. We have a static IP and I set static route with the "make this the default route" checked. Then I set forward (next hop) to the IP my ISP gave me as their gateway.
This is exactly the same way I set the 877 router using the same ISP but in a different office.
Every so often the internet is lost due to power outage or the ISP doing something on their end and every time that happens we have to reboot the router which is quite annoying.
I did not have the "permanent route" check mark checked but I do not have it checked on the router that does not have the problem either so I don't think that's it.
When I set the static route to "interface" then added the static IP of the next hop it will continue to work for incoming connections but not outgoing.
I have a Windows Seven desktop that will disconnect from the internet ( It has a Ethernet cable directly to the router ) after sitting still for a few hours.my laptop has a Wifi card and works even when the Desktop doesn't.

The thing is, when it is disconnected, the adsl lamp is still on, so I think that it is not the network problem. When internet lamp turns off , I try to turn off the device (or unplug the phone cable), then turn it on again (or re-plug the cable), and it will work for certain minutes, then gets disconnected again. I already upgraded the firmware to v 1.00.12.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got 3 windows 7 pc's at home. IP V6 and IP 4 are enabled. I setup my wireless system and it worked 100%. After 3 months I add a LAN cable to two of my PC's. This is when it all started. My internet browsing became very very slow. When i shutdown the one machine it become fast again. I did the following. Pulled the LAN cable and it was still slow. I then put the cable back and disabled the Wi-Fi and it still was very slow. I rested the defaults and restored my old backup and it still slow. Now I can get any access to the internet any more. I the disconnected the netgear router and take a cheap router with only LAN ports and it work 100%. All the above i did with many router and server reboots.

After installing the drivers through the disc, I ended up getting he BSOD, and my PC just kept on restarting automatically. I fixed that problem, and found out that I should install the drivers for it through their website instead. So, after restarting my PC yet again, I tried using the Internet (Chrome) and found out that I have no Internet connection. Now, I am writing this on my iPad using the same router and modem that my PC is supposed to be using, but I keep on checking my WLAN adapter and it says that it is Not Connected. Now I have tried every forum, every post, EVERYTHING related to this problem and not a single thing fixes it. Also, when I do the ipconfig, everything says Media Disconnected and that's it. PS, I tried unplugging/plugging back in my modem and router PPS, Is it possible that when installing my new gcard and psu that I may have messed up with something internally?
View 14 Replies View RelatedThe problem is basically that my home wifi runs from a router that renews its IP adress every hour or so, and I keep getting disconnected from the Internet for 15 mins. or so every single time and then again not always; sometimes a page fails to load and then the connection is re-established a moment afterwards - it's very random.
The odd thing is that while my desktop Pc gets disconnected for long peiods of time my PS3, phone and laptop all seem to be able to reconnect during other periods of time where the desktop is unable. Also my parents and sister seem to be disturbed in different intervals. This makes me think that besides the annoying short disconnection on every device, my wifi adapter might cause the desktop additional problems reconnecting.
I'm using a Netgear WG111 v3 adapter. I should probably note that when I was running Windows 7 it already gave me trouble installing drivers and I had to run compatibility mode for Vista, and now with Windows 8 Pro 64-bit I had even more trouble, installer crashing and me having to manually go to the Device Manager and search for the install data for the driver. It's only been causing me problems since I bought it and though it works as I write this there is no way for me to know if it goes offline again or not in the next second.
I've recently reformatted my Pc and that didn't change a thing in this context and I've also been in contact with my Internet provider (the largest of such in Denmark, where I live), and they are the ones that told me that the router needs to reaquire a new IP every now and then for security reasons.
