View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an ASA5505 running which is on a static IP. I have just got an SRP527W for a remote worker and want to create a site-to-site VPN into the ASA. I have a number of other router of non-cisco brand which just all dial-in and connect no problem.
On other routers I have been abloe to specify the DDNS hostname in the VPN setup so that the ASA can identify it. I'm not sure how I setup the SRP527 to connect to the ASA.
I am trying to set up a Site to Site between two RV042 with static IP at both routers.at the log at site 1 i get: packet from XX.XXX.XX.167:5: initial Main Mode message received on 10.2.32.1:500 but no connection has been authorized with policy=PSK.At site 2 i get: packet from xxx.xxx.xxx.146:500: initial Main Mode message received on 192.168.1.1:500 but no connection has been authorized with policy=PSK.I have tuned off the firewall and added a Port forwarding to the router ip and port 500.Tried with different autentication methods, but get the same message.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a heck of a time configuring 2 RV180W's to establish an IPSEC VPN tunnel. I have some experience at this with other Cisco products (RV042/082) but I can't get these beasties to cooperate.One RV180W is at a client's office and there are to be 1x RV180W and 1x RV120W located at 2 employee's residences.The office has a Static IP and the homes have dymamic IP.I figured I would config the units in the homes to be initators and connect to the office where the static IP is. This is failing for me so far. Any example (screenshot?) of a config where this is working? The firmware on the RV180W's I am trying to configure first are current.I even tried testing from my office (where I have multiple static IPs available) from RV180W here to RV180W at client's office (static at both ends) and I can't get a tunnel to come up. Obviously I am missing the boat at some point in the setup.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a Cisco ASA 5505 Here is a description of my topology.
Headquarters = 192.168.201.0
Client X = 172.16.0.0
Datacenter = 10.12.0.0
Site to Site Tunnels:
Headquarters ---> Datacenter
Datacenter ---> Client X
I want to ability for computers in the Headquarters subnet to access the Client X subnet.I have tried setting up a static route to push all traffic destin for 172.16.0.0 to the datacenter, but was unsuccessful. how I can route all 172.16.0.0 through the tunnel.I have tried ading a static route on my ASA but without success.
I have some sites already connected with ASA 5505 site to site VPN with both end static IP. Normally, all traffic can come across without any problem. Even I used "management-access inside" for both ASA.Now I have a new office with only ADSL pppoe connection. I used easy VPN to connect from Site B:remote dynamic IP site to SiteA:static IP with similar example of this: [URL]
All my 5505 ASA are running 8.4(4)1
Site A - Static IP
Site B - dynamic IP with pppoe connection.
After EasyVPN connected, i do not know how do I remote manangment from site A lan to site B 5505 ASA?
I'm trying to set up a site to site VPN link between the ASA5510 that we use exclusively as a VPN endpoint on campus and a D-Link DIR130 VPN Router off campus, at a local business with a dynamically assigned IP. We currently use the ASA for remote access users who use the Cisco VPN client on mobile devices, as well as for a single site to site link to our telecom provider for the purposes of monitoring telecom equipment remotely.We are looking for a way to cheaply deploy secure VPN connections to local businesses to allow them to use point of sale devices which connect back to systems on campus, so students can use their meal cards at local restaurants, similarly to how they use them at the on-campus cafeteria.
I have experience configuring Cisco switches, APs and routers, but this ASA device absolutely baffles me. I've futzed around with the ASDM 6.4 gui config and tried to match up configurations between the DIR130 and the ASA, but I can never get a VPN connection to come up.
I need to set up a site to site vpn between 2 ASA (1 5510 and a 5505). The 5505 internal network is also in use on the internal portion of the 5510 so I wanted to NAT the outbound traffic from Site A (5510) to Site B (5505) and vice versa. I was thinking of doing something along these lines:To allow the traffic to flow through the tunnel when having the same addressing scheme on both ends, you should NAT the VPN traffic. [code] And then I would use the "crypto" acl for building the crypto map.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a ASA 5510 actve/standby and create one site to site VPN with remote peer ip address xx.xx.xx.xx, Our VPN traffic running on 6 mb internet link for video conferancing traffic.Now client give another link 2 mb internet and client told to us our data traffic runnig on 2 mb link but this data traffic running on the same remote peer IP xx.xx.xx.xx.
Secondly request also they need failover over the ISP link.
how we immplement the same on ASA 5510.
We have a scenario where the Cisco ASA 5505 will be one end of a site-to-site VPN. The same ASA 5505 also allows Client VPN connection. The question is around IP pooling. If I assign a pool of IP's (192.168.1.20 - 192.168.1.30) for Client VPN connections - do I need to be sure that those same IP's are not used on the other side of site-to-site VPN ?
There could be PC's/Servers running 192.168.1.0/24 on the other side of site-to-site VPN. Would this cause an address conflict ?
I need configure a VPN site-to-site between two offices (Office A e Office B)The Office A (headquarters) have a Router CIsco 5510 and we have approximately 200 employess?
The Office B (branch) dont have any cisco Router but we will buy one ( is a small office, we have aproximadaly 20)?So I need configure a VPN site-to-site using the IPSec (do this is easy), but i need control the computers in the Office B that can access the Office A.
I Think that I can use a acl using the Mac Address to control, but how can I apply a control access List by Mac Address in the VPN site-to-site that is configured using a IPSec?
Is there other form to control the access of the Office B to Office A? We have a big fear for example, a unknow computer connect in the Office B using any mode off access (Ethernet cable, or Wirelless), and this "unwanted" computer access the Office A.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to give an static ip address to a time clock on my network and for some reason when I connect time clock to network it will always get an ip address from a different network. for example my computer IP address is 192.168.2.70 when connected to network, my default gateway is 192.168.2.1, the IP address that the time clock always gets is 192.168.1.120, there is no way to tell the time clock what IP address I wanted to be it has to get it from router (that is what the manufacturer told me), router (16portLiksys) does not have DHCP enabled the guy who set up network left it disabled, on his notes he says server (dell server T110) is acting as router is that true that a server can be acting as router?what do guys think is going on here?all the computers hooked up to network have static IP address.I also notice that when I connect a computer to router it will get an IP address from different network the same as time clock.I tried to reserve ip address on router by entering MAC address from time clock but it won't work. I am not very familiar with the server settings I have not try changing settings on server, I am not even sure the guy who set up network is right about using server as router.
